I had my team Christmas party here and I was worried cus I had never been here but heard good things. It was amazing! Our wait staff were fast and great. Our waiter was so awesome and was up selling us like crazy! We ate all the lobster tail they had! The lobster mac and cheese was perfect and so cheesy. The other apps were so good. I honestly forgot to take pictures before we ate them all. I had the pork chops for my main course and I was so happy with my choice. The sauce honestly could be on anything and I would eat it. I really want to like this place. It's close to our house, it's open late, the food and drinks are good. Only thing is service is only good 50% of our visits. We've been 4 of last 6 Friday's. First time I blamed service on COVID. Then had two great dining experiences, now tonight was terrible. Slow inattentive service. Took 1.5 hours to get two appetizers and that's with me having to go point it out in the window waiting to be picked up. This was a really excellent way to spend a Friday night. Tip: if it's nice and warm, definitely request to sit out on the patio. Great views, lights, fire, umbrellas, music. Sounds pretty lame when I describe it, but you gotta be there. It enhances the experience tenfold. Our party really enjoyed the sushi, French dip (husband said it was the best he's ever had), carrot cake, tiramisu, coconut shrimp app, and blackened salmon with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and buttery mashed potatoes. Oh, and (surprisingly), the kids mac and cheese. How in the world do they make that so good?? Definitely not from a box. Five stars on all those, and on the huge menu with way too many fantastic-looking options. That said, the stuffed chicken was okay and a nice idea, but the execution was off: very acidic (too much lime and cumin) and the chorizo with which the chicken was allegedly stuffed was indetectable, on top of the breast being a tad dry. For $22, I was hoping for something with a little more wow factor. Still, that's my only real complaint. Service was friendly and the perfect mixture of attentive and hands-off. Despite being busy (came around 9:15), there was very little wait. Wow! The view from this restaurant alone makes it worth a visit, especially when the sun is setting and the live band goes on. We sat in the bar area at a high top overlooking the valley and mountains in the distance. We started with a couple cocktails. I enjoyed the All Mezzed Up cocktail while my partner loved the Smokehouse made with High West Campfire. We shared the sushi nachos, corn croquettes, coconut shrimp, and a very generous portion of the double bone-in maple bourbon pork chop. Terrible brunch! We made reservations for a girls christmas brunch. My experience at the Cliff has been hit and miss but agreed with the group to try it again. Arriving the hostess was anything but gracious when we arrived. Couldn't decide whether to seat us in the dining or bar. There were plenty of tables in both areas so it shouldn't have been a difficult decision. She sat us in the dining room where there was only one waiter for the entire room. He was trying his best to get to everyone so we tried to be patient. We ordered eggs benedict. One person ordered hers with a hard yolk. When the food arrived the egg was FRIED not poached hard. The other orders were less than acceptable in other ways but because the poor waiter was so harried we just decided to pay and leave. I am a Draper resident and keep hoping for a consistent dining experience at the Cliff. Nothing fancy, just good food and atmosphere and a glass of wine where we could visit weekly. The appetizer (queso with chips) and main dishes (Cajun pasta and pulled pork flatbread) were ok but the creme brûlée was really good. Their sangria could use some work too. My friend and I split the French dip and the Juicy Lucy since we wanted to eat both. We added bacon to the French dip and we couldn't eat it fast enough. We both order French dip wherever it's offered, and this was the best one we've ever had. Toasted bun, thin sliced roast beef, caramelized onion, cheese, au jus. Drool. For sure get this. The Juicy Lucy is a burger that originated in Minneapolis. A burger stuffed with cheese that is ooey and gooey in the best way. Don't pass this one up. They never brought back the DJ/live music after covid, and the food is mediocre now. Their brunch is very mediocre. We are pretty much done going there. Had such a fantastic time. Our server, Aldo, was great! We were surprised to find out he had only been there 5 days. He took great care of our party...and bonus! He was funny too. I got the spinach artichoke dip (also called "crack dip" by my family because it's sooooo good) and the battered fish tacos; I pretty much get the same thing every time I come here and it NEVER disappoints! The coconut shrimp is also fantastic. Be sure to ask for extra sauce if you order that one! The staff noticed I was opening presents, so they surprised me with cheesecake and a candle. Nothing to complain about. My husband and I ordered a few things to try. We got the French dip with fries. The French dip was good but nothing I haven't had before at a cheap diner. The fries were so good though. They were super thick almost like a potato wedge. The inside was soft but the outside was nice and crispy not soggy like most thick fries or potato wedges. We also ordered two sushi rolls the cowabunga and Miami both again good nothing was gross just wouldn't crave them. I have had much better sushi and an all you can eat sushi place for a much cheaper price. The cowabunga was $19 on its own. The last thing we got was the sushi nachos. These were the best of the night. Such a good idea and so yummy. I will be craving the Sushi nachos and I will go back for them. Asked for it to be hot, waitress took my plate and off it went. my friends finished their meals before i got my food back...still cold. Waitress avoided our table and when we asked for refills on coffee we waited again. Took my cold food home and hested it up in the air fryer. The view is pretty amazing over the valley and fire pits make it comfortable on chilly nights. I just wish there was food that was good as well. This place was fantastic! The outdoor patio was a perfect place to eat! We felt safe eating here during Covid! The food was DELICIOUS! We enjoyed a variety of things from flatbreads to chicken sandwiches and even some sushi! They had kids meals too, that our kids ate all of! The views are wonderful and the breeze is so relaxing. Chicken was a little tough and I'm pretty sure there wasn't any Marsala wine in the Marsala sauce. I couldn't taste it anyway. It was just like a normal gravy made with flower instead of cornstarch which makes it clear. The margarita flatbread was just okay. California rolls were awesome and super fresh. I went to brunch with some friends on Sunday and I was pretty disappointed. While the service and atmosphere are wonderful, the food is mediocre and bland for what you pay. The "scrambled eggs" resemble the dried crusty portion of eggs you leave in the pan after putting the edible ones on a plate. The pancake was super dry and they give you the tiniest amount of syrup. The potatoes were okay but I had to chase them down on the plate to cut it up small enough to eat. I had 2 mimosas, 1 pineapple and 1 regular. They both tasted sour and not worth the $9 a piece. I had high hopes for this place but doubt I'll be back to spend $40 on a breakfast like that. read more
