I wanted an exterior detail. It ended up costing 190 bucks and looked worse than a drive through car wash. Tell me how you could have hand washed, dry, and waxed the car.... yey there are still dead bugs all over the front bumper, water stains, and a dust spot on my back bumper? I came here because of the great yelp reviews. Cliff, the owner, is a friendly guy and he did do the walk around before and after as other reviewers said...but I'm not paying for a fun chat at the end of the day. I was there for almost 2 hours, most of it spent in the office so I couldn't confirm if they did everything and just missed some areas. However I now wish I came to check on them periodically because I have serious doubts they gave me my money's worth. There was a customer after me who stood outside the entire time to watch. When I pointed out the bugs and stains still on my car, Cliff cleaned it himself with a detail spray. Yes it's dim in your garage but that's no excuse. A detail means be detailed. He told me before I left, "I don't want a bad yelp review". What you should be more worried about is losing a potential repeat customer. Went in to get some gum and stains out of my car upholstery and called in to hopefully get a quote. Cliff was nice on the phone although I was hesitant that he wouldn't give me a quote until I came to evaluate it. Luckily I work nearby and dropped by during my lunch break and he gave me a great deal IMO and set up an appointment to drop off the next morning. Dropped off the car first thing in the morning and Cliff was gracious enough to give me a ride to work. Told me to come in on my lunch break to pick up the car. There were stains on the back seat from a water cooler leaking and had gum on the driver's seat and it looked like nothing ever happened. He examined my filthy car (wet dogs and sloppy teenage boys), and explained what could (and what could not) be done. As I am used to drive-through washes, Cliff's price initially sounded a bit high to me. I quickly realized that it was absolutely reasonable and fair, more so because I knew that I would have spent an entire day, had I tried to clean the car myself. The owner, Cliff, is also very friendly and down to earth. Overall, this business seems an ok place to bring an old car that needs to be detailed. However, I brought my new recently purchased car here to be hand washed, and was very sorry that I did. Prior to getting the car washed, Cliff did an inspection -- he confirmed that the car was in perfect condition. After the car was washed, there was a big permanent stain on the interior leather that could not be removed, as well as scratches on the vinyl and on the paint of the door sill, and scuff marks on the leather seats. Although I was very courteous and tried to problem solve with Cliff, he denied all damages and accused me of lying and bringing in my car damaged! He did not fix the problem, and did nothing to resolve the damages - no discount, or courtesy service - nothing. Overall, although there is no question that Cliff is very friendly, in my opinion, he lacks honesty, integrity and honor. Moreover, his car detailing business lacks attention to detail, and his instinct seems to be to blame the customer when something goes wrong, which is the last thing you want when taking your car in to a car detailer. read more

Great service, friendly staff. Cars looks amazing! We brought in two cars at the same time and they did them back to back. My car was in fairly good shape, so we opted to have them give it the works - inside and out. Cost $350 and looked like a brand new car when we left. We recently inherited a hand-me-down car from my mother-in-law and the interior left much to be desired. It wasn't trashed, but it looked as if it had never been cleaned in years. Plus, I recently bought some mulch and fill dirt and a bag broke in the car. We cleaned up most of up, but it needed some work. We paid $350 for this car as well, but asked them to only clean the interior. We were just amazed when we got it back. It looked brand new inside. Definitely recommend this place. My car was filthy. It had been used for hauling wood and construction materials, and 3 dogs. I had previously washed the exterior but left the inside dirty for about 2 years. Cliff service was a fair price for the state of the car, and he returned the car close to spotless inside and out. A couple of things to note: 1) The directions to the location are a bit wrong on google maps. Don't turn into the MVA. 2) The prices are a on the steeper side, but they are justified. If you want better quality work for a fairer price you should buy the equipment and do it yourself. Understanding that your time is valuable, the price is worth it. We got a fabulous deal on a used minivan that had been owned by a smoker. The detail work at the dealership had involved merely using a heavy perfume to try and mask the odor. Perfume + cigarette smoke made this car reek! I took the car to Cliff, and in two days, the smoke and perfume smells were gone. I can happily report two months later that the smell is indeed permanently gone. This is a family-owned business with spectacular customer service. I brought the car in for a consultation, after sitting in the car to assess the odor problem, Cliff carefully explained his treatment plan and gave me a quote. The car was ready in two days and within budget. He also threw in a full detailing which was extremely thorough. The best I've ever seen. If you are trying to get rid of a difficult odor beware anybody who is willing to give you an exact quote and promise that you will have your car back in perfect condition in less than 24 hours without actually seeing the vehicle. IMPECCABLE JOB!!!!! We were selling my husband's car, which had never been detailed, and it needed to look presentable. I did my research and Cliff's shop came up. I called and Cliff himself spoke with me and made the arrangements. We were on a budget and he was able to meet me in the middle (in my favor). True to his word, the car was SPECTACULARLY clean when he handed it back to me. It made me think twice about selling it!! I had to steal a star away for one error that started a domino chain. He arrived late, which happens in life, but because he arrived late the job started an hour late and because the job started an hour late the wiggle room I had to get to an appointment on time was gone and because they were trying to get the job done in a rush in order to get me to my appointment I had to leave with the car still damp on the inside. THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED! I'd never gotten my car detailed before but I unfortunately had an incident where I got sick in the car and later had trouble cleaning the small holes in the speaker grill and the buttons for the windows so decided to have it professionally done. When I called and spoke with Cliff, he told me he does this kind of thing all the time so he understands how delicate of an area those places are and what he could do. I went in thinking it would be impossible for it to be like new but he could probably do a better job than me. I waited in the office/waiting room for it to be done and Cliff would periodically come in with pictures on his phone to show how things were shaping up in the areas we discussed needed the most attention. I couldn't believe how good he'd cleaned everything up! He even told me about a small issue that I wasn't even aware of (since I don't sit in my own back seat) and he was able to fix that as well. When he took me outside for the final reveal, I was blown away. My car honestly looked, smelled and felt like I was driving it off the lot again. EVERYTHING was crystal clean and no detail was left behind. I got sooo happy, I decided then and there that I will have my car detailed at least once a year as a special treat to myself. I made an appointment for one day and I completely forgot, but instead of calling and demanding to know where I was, Cliff called hours later (waiting to hear from me) and then left a message assuming it must've been his mistake and we rescheduled. He was so understanding about my error. My service once I got there was great. He even offered information about restaurants etc within walking distance if I wanted to get a bite while I waited or wait for a cab somewhere nicer than his shop. They treated my car amazingly - and he went out of his way to make sure we were on the same page about what was and wasn't possible. He even called me later in the day to tell me about an issue with the latch on my trunk (which I was aware of and had forgotten to mention to them) - and he offered to fix it! I just bought a new car. I love my new car. I want the best for my new car. When it came to time to have my new car detailed, I was quite nervous about putting the job in someone else's hands. I procrastinated taking it in for a little while until one day I drove passed Cliff's shop. There were a lot of cars and the place looked busy so I thought to myself "this place might know what they are doing." I parked in the lot and before I could get in the door I was kindly greeted by Mr. Dewey, himself. He was outside working with his team on a few cars, but quickly stopped what he was doing to make sure I was being addressed. It's always a good sign when the owner of a business is working side by side with his employees. I explained that I had been driving by and stopped to see about getting my car washed. He was clearly very busy but asked me if I had some time. I said yes and gave him my keys and him and his team went right to work getting. I had no appointment and had not called ahead and the place was obviously booked. He valued the prospect of impressing a new customer and managed to fit me into the schedule. I waited in his office and spoke with another gentleman who had been getting his car detailed at Cliff's for 15 year. 15 years man! That definitely made me feel a lot better. When the car was done, Cliff handed me the keys, we gave it a once over and everything looked perfect. I couldn't be happier. We chatted for a bit and he thanked me for giving his place a chance. I am actually looking forward to my next visit to Cliff Dewey's Auto Detail. The business is independent (no stupid chains), Cliff is very friendly and welcoming, and the guys there work hard and work right. As long as things stay the way they are, I am a lifelong customer. I just had my sedan detailed for a lease turn in and it looks spectacular! It looks and smells as good as new. I am very hard on my cars and I had no idea how well he could restore it. I have a 95 lbs dog that sheds like it's his job, not a single dog hair or dog odor is left. I keep my lawn mower in the trunk and not only was the trunk covered in mud and grass clippings but I had spilled gasoline. It's now spotless and smells fresh. A little bit of rotisserie chicken juice spilled when the chicken in the container fell on my car floor. Two days later the smell was horrendous. I cleaned it, scrubbed it and each time the smell came back. I spoke with Cliff who was quick to answer my message. He took me in right away and did an excellent job cleaning the carpet in my car. 35 min later my car smelled amazing and the floor looked like new.
