Like the island itself, and not sure if I did anything - or didn't do something, but if butcher block requires this much maintenance, it's not for us. Knew the guys at SSC and asked if this was something they could do. Provided the dimensions and description of the use, and voila! Could not have had a better outcome! It looks great, will be way more functional, everyone at SSC was a pleasure to deal with, service was prompt and the top turnout out exactly as expected - well hoped for - and no disappointments! Interesting how major, multinational suppliers can depend on local vendors and trades to pull their tushes out of the fire a lot more than they realize.

They did an amazing job with my counter and I could tell they put a lot of care and detail in this, even if it may have been a smaller job for them. Thank you SSC for helping make my kitchen dreams come true. :) I highly recommend this company!

STAY AWAY!! DISHONEST, POOR WORK AND TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION…read more I hired them to redo all the engineered hardwood in my place following a flood caused by a dishwasher leak. They caused numerous delays in our repair schedule - nearly 5 months delay at their hands and they're not even attempting to come back and finish the job! Portions of the floor are uneven, not glued down as they are supposed to be, and not flush with other tile surfaces. In fact, a week before the job ought to have been finished, and after several delayed completion dates caused directly by them, my wife was having a baby in the hospital. The company co-owner, D. Murcia, emailed me saying he had removed the material from my place, which we paid for, and the job was half done. Further, he said they were not finishing the job unless I agreed to pay more money and that he spoke to other suppliers telling them not to do our job or provide us replacement product. We were totally HELD HOSTAGE and didn't have a choice but to accept the extortive, unreasonable demands because we needed to bring the baby home asap. Additionally, we paid for a premium product but they installed the grade below what we paid for. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU USE SOMEONE ELSE.

I have already recommended Percy John to three friends who also want to update the comfort and look of their homes.

[Business categories: Sales and service of motorcycles, sales and service of Stihl power tools.I…read moreadded this company but had trouble with the categories. Maybe Yelp can fix this and remove this note. ] My first encounter with T-CPE was to service my Honda lawnmower, HR2166VXC, an older model but top of the line residential except not battery start. I took it to one other shop, not a dealer, twice but it still did not run right. Gary fixed it so that it is running better than ever before. (I did not acquire it new.) He rebuilt the carburetor, as had the other shop, but there was still a minor issue or two. He ordered a new carb but they shipped the wrong one. So he put on one from stock that he had rebuilt previously. Even then, the values needed adjustment. After all that, the bill was less than $100. Very reasonable, in my view. Basically, he did not charge for the extra hassle. I bought a couple of Stihl Kombi tools today. No BS, no pressure from Gary. Just good information on the tools, what would be the best for the job, and a little on how to use them. BTW, I am in Burnaby, so considered a Burnaby Honda PE dealer. Yelp reviews were patchy, so I dropped in to get a feel. Twice. I much prefer the attitude at T-CPE.
