Wonderful experience! My daughter (3 1/2 months) and I got our ears pierced by Cleo. My daughter was screaming pretty much the whole time (before she even got the piercing), but Cleo was calm and sweet throughout it all. Both of us got numbed first, which was great! I got my 3rd lobe and left tragus re-pierced, while my daughter just got her first piercing on her lobe. I would definitely go back to Cleo! Jewelry starts out at $15 and there's a wide selection, but each hoop I got was $40 (14k gold) and my daughter's jewelry was also around that. Cost of the piercings were around $30 each as well. My eyebrows are uneven after you just did it, not after 2 years! So I used the word "suffer"! Because I have to make it looks balanced everyday. By the way, before the treatment you did not explain those "possibilities". When you said you done, I asked that why it looked uneven, you showed me the impatient attitude! My mom in law came together with me same time, she also not satisfied with the eyebrow microblading which you did for her. The color is not what she chose and the shape is not what you tried on her. We actually did it on Jan 2019, It's 2years and 2months ago. We wanted to wait until the color get lighter and lighter, then we can fix it without extra step. After consulted with different specialists, the answer is "no", we have to clean the color first. Clean the dark color on my eyebrows not only cost more, also it takes more time. She applied numbing cream to the lobes and put on Disney's Frozen in the background to distract. If this is your first time and nervous or have a low pain tolerance Cleo has a numbing cream she can put on your ear. You'll still feel a little pinch but it's not bad at all. Promise. She also makes the process really smooth and comforting. My husband and I both got our ears pierced within minutes and we were out. I'd highly recommend Cleo for all your piercing needs. She has a lot of cute and pretty earrings that you couldn't find in the US, and these sophistically finished earrings were all from Korea. A few days ago, I went to her new location 6282 Irvine Blvd #26 in Irvine to celebrate her new shop and I was so pleased. The new shop was much bigger and nicer with her signature pink wall. There were so many pretty jewelry and I was satisfied again with the service as well. For piercings and eyebrow tattoos, she gently applied anesthetic cream and gave her peace of mind. I usually never leave reviews, but I had the most amazing experience today at Cleopatra! I went in to get my second upper lobe piercings done, and the entire process was extremely well organized and clearly explained. After Bora applied the markings and the numbing cream, I was free to look at the earrings I could choose from. I saw some other reviewers saying that the pricing wasn't very clear, but I had the opposite experience! Bora was extremely clear about the pricings for all the earrings and even double checked with me before I paid! I knew I was in great hands when I saw her preparing everything with gloves and sterile equipment. The actual piercing was even less painful than popping a pimple, and she even demonstrated the aftercare instructions for me. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Please do yourself a favor and AVOID this lady at ALL COST. This incident below had a police officer involved. I decided to get an ear piercing after having an ear infection about a decade ago. I live in DTLA and I drove 3 hours front and back just to see her based on her reviews when I could have found a place closer to home. When I first went inside the shop she offered me two different materials: surgical steel and 14k gold (more expensive). I told her I had an infection before and asked for her opinion on the material, she said both were good so I opted for the cheaper option which was surgical steel. NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER I GOT AN EAR INFECTION!!! I contacted her that I had an infection and she told me to go in and see her. I went in and she told me I had to use 14k gold because surgical steel does not work for me. While she was exchanging my old piercing I asked her what if I got an infection again with 14k gold? She said: "Don't worry you won't because babies use this material, it is very safe." I was speechless and a bit irritated because I specifically told her I had an infection before and asked which material was better. She could have recommended 14k gold, and I would gladly pay the higher price because now I had to WASTE MY TIME, GO THROUGH DISCOMFORT, and REPURCHASE another pair of her earrings. Mind you this lady tells you earring prices "individually" so be careful when you find out after your piercing that it is double the price she told you. She told me my earrings were $80 then they turned out to be $160 when I was paying, like who gives prices individually and not a pair? After the exchange, she told me to not take them off for 4-5 months and I listened. I took them off for the first time last month and the hole closed literally after A DAY. I brought this issue to her and she told me to go in again. I went in today and we had to get the police involved because she refuses to take any responsibility for this and keeps telling me it is my skin type's fault. I understand everyone's skin works differently, but I spent $400 with the two piercings, and going through that pain for almost half a year just for the hole to close after a day does not sit right with me. She told me she would not do anything to compensate and she would also not offer anything other than a free piercing, meaning that I still had to purchase the earrings from her, she is only going to disregard the $50 piercing fee. Then my bf who went with me said she was a scam and this lady got mad and threatened to call the police. I said please do, I would gladly speak with them. Eventually, the police came and I spoke to them, they were shocked that I drove this far to get this piercing done and said there was nothing that they could do if this lady did not want to take any responsibility. She then offered $50 off of the piercing and a 20% discount on the jewelry but this could not compensate for my loss at all and I no longer trusted her. All I can do is take the full loss. This was $400 worth of piercing and a priceless cost of my time and pain that I had to endure. Cleo, I came to you because I trusted you as a professional. All I wanted was for you to take part in this responsibility to warn your customers that ear holes have the possibility of closing within hours or even a day. Or to even check up on customers who experienced infection. We go to you because you are the professional please do not expect us to know everything in your profession. Why I am so mad is not because the hole closed, but because you never warned me about anything and kept making up excuses and blaming it on my skintype. I wasted half a year going through all that pain, and that much money and time just for the hole to CLOSE. And you're here trying to blame everything on my "skintype." You are such a disappointment and I hope everyone who reads up to here does better and find a better shop. Higher price DOES NOT mean better quality. I learned the lesson the hard way and I am here to warn you before you waste your money and time with this narcissistic who only cares about herself. read more

I had my helix pierced over 20 years ago and took the piercing out about 2 months after because I thought it was infected. Recently, I decided to see if I could get an earring in it and POP! it went thru. The cheap earring that I put in started to burn and itch, so I looked on Yelp for a nearby piercer and found Cleo. I made an appt to look at her jewelry and was amazed at her selection! I found a circular barbell and she was kind enough to put it in for free. I think I paid $25 for the barbell and it's made of surgical steel. I also took my daughter in the following week for a piercing. She's another satisfied customer. A must go here for first-time piercings. I made a reservation for my both ear lobes and received a prompt confirmation text for my reservation from Cleopatra. Cleo marked the ear piercing area with a ruler to match the both sides to be the same location. But my ears are very different from the shape of the right and left ears. Cleo took a time to find the best spot with me and she marked the center spot I wanted before began the process. During the process I felt that she was doing it with such care and she made me very comfortable. After marking, she applied the anesthetic cream. I don't remember that other piercing shops that I first had my piercings didn't apply anesthetic cream. I was able to picked the set of earrings from verity of cute earrings. I chose the set of the earrings with screw ball type backing so they don't fall easily. I had been looking for piercing earrings that they don't come off easy and these were perfect for me and she also explained that theses were surgical materials from Korea that are safe from the any possible infections from the piercings. She and I picked the earrings together Cleo sterilizes the earrings on the piercings and the tools are disposable and looked very clean. She listened what I had to say about the concerns and she gave me the instructions on how to care for the piercing. All of this took about 20-30 minutes to do a pair of piercings. I had two piercings on both sides and I am coming back to her when my ears are healed after 6 weeks. I am going to have a helix piercing and a tragus piercing. I wish I would have read Joy C.'s review before I went this past Saturday. I went to get both my daughters ears pierced (8 month old and 2 year old) and Cleo did a great job. She's clean and thorough. Now my issue is the pricing of the earrings. She was very sneaky on the pricing. When I booked the appt she told me that 14 k gold earrings start at $60. But she charged me $60 PER earring so $120 for the pair. I picked out the 14k gold baby ball (training) earrings- no studs, no designs. So no, they do not start at $60 as she mentions. They start at $120 per set. I highly recommend purchasing your earrings somewhere else, just make sure they are great quality and are clean. 8/26 In response to Cleo's comment below : I still stand by what I said in my review. I brought my 5 month old daughter in to see Cleo 6 days ago to get her ears pierced. Cleo was very professional and explained in full detail the process and what to expect. She used numbing cream and after about 15 minutes she used a pen to place a mark where she was going to pierce. She made sure I looked at it and agreed if it was a good area. The actual piercing was quick and understandably so my daughter still cried, but soon stopped. It was a fairly easy and quick process. Cleo has a wonderful variety of jewelry as well. It is a little different to have the appointments right away. Cleo has booked appointments for 2-3 weeks. The Same day appointment is somewhat difficult. She accepts appointments by message only and she reply faster than by the phone. So I made a appointment by text message and visited her shop. Everything from bed linen to needles and cotton swabs is disposable. My niece was so happy and excited to get her piercings at the clean and reliable shop. Although she was nervous to have them for the first time but Cleo was able to made my niece comfortable by explaining the procedures and she also took a nice photo after she had made my niece pretty with the earrings. She sells exclusive verities of earrings from Korea, you can buy as single or as a pair. You don't have to buy the one set of earrings, all the price was marked as individual earring so when customers choose earrings, they can have combined designs, so they can shop for earrings in a little different way. I really liked the pleasant smell of sterilization in the her shop. Visiting her shop was a pleasant experience. Finally, I got my niece pierced today and she is so happy.
