I took my 14 month old daughter to get her ears pierced. Cleo did a great job. My daughter cried but it was super quick and the tears stopped as soon as the piercings were done. The piercing was done with a needle which is exactly what I was looking for. Initially I was going to book an appointment at a tattoo/piercing parlor because they have sterile environments, use needles, and they have professional piercers. Ultimately I chose to go to Cleopatra because I felt more comfortable walking into a studio like this. The tattoo parlors felt a bit intimidating for me especially walking in with my baby girl. Anyway, I definitely recommend Cleo. She's very nice, professional, and most importantly her office is very clean. Such a disappointing experience. My 18 year old daughter chose this salon based on the reviews but unfortunately, it feels like she was completely robbed. She purchased a $100 piece of jewelry that broke within two weeks and Cleopatra policy makes no consideration for faulty equipment. Rather we were sent a canned response stating their policy which makes it the customer's responsibility to ensure that the equipment is not faulty or damaged. She wasn't willing to fix it without charging for another appointment deposit and she was going to recharge for a replacement. We opted not to return. I've never encountered a business that would not stand behind the products they sold. The woman who runs this place is a thief. I already have the piercings, I've been thinking of doing the Helix piercing for a while, so I went to see Cleopatra. I must say that Cleopatra piercings and the jewelries is the best piercing shop I've ever been to. It is super clean cozy shop located in Sola salon. There were a lot of the cutest and most beautiful earrings in the super dust free display. Everyone who pierces before knows that the material for the earrings should be safe. Cleopatra had a lot of cute and pretty earrings to choose from and the materials were the safe surgical materials. It is so important to me and for everyone that the material is so important. A few years ago, I took a pretty ordinary earring to a certain piercing shop and pierced it and I had pretty bad experience of being infected and having swollen ears for 4 months. When I visit Cleopatra for the piercings the first thing I do is check the material of the earrings. I was very glad to see that Cleo earrings were surgical and and 14k gold is added to it, the price is of course a little higher than regular the individual earring was $60, $120 for the pair. All piercings are counted as single 14k $60 for surgery $30 for surgical steel. I asked her why is the earring priced individually she explained that some people just wanted to have a single piercing with a single earring. All of them were brought from Korea, I saw the delicacy of details of the pretty earrings. Cleo was so kind and sincere she made my trip a pleasant day and I trusted for her service and products. I had my ears pierced before but they've since closed up. I was scared she might mess up but she was on point and was so precise with the needle. I saw some of her artwork and dang she can draw too. I have 14 piercings including the two new innerhelix and conch I got here. I've gotten piercings at so many different places - Korea, Seattle, Florida, Hollywood, Orange, and Anaheim and now Tustin. It was my first time with the numbing cream which made the whole process so so so much easier, I wish all of my previous piercings were done with it! I went with a friend who said the exact same thing and neither of us had any pain in the last 4 days after we got the piercings last Saturday. Because it was my first time getting my ears pierced, I did a lot (and I mean a lot) of research going into it. I looked into not only the different types of piercings but also piercing methods and procedures. Just when I was feeling sad about this, I came across Cleo at Cleopatra. And I'm super glad I did. After reading all her great reviews, I made an appointment right away and I can see why everyone thinks she's so amazing. At my appointment, she welcomed me warmly and asked me exactly what I wanted to get done and if I had any photos for reference. She quickly helped me decide what would look best for my ear shape and please look at my photo because it looks beautiful! She then calmed me down (I had some first time jitters) and got me through all 5(!) piercings swiftly and smoothly. She also made sure to walk me through the pricing of everything prior to the piercing so I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. I actually ended up feeling a little dizzy afterwards so she had me lie down until I felt better and even gave me a plastic bag to take with me in case I threw up in the car. After having a bad experience getting my 2nd piercing from another shop and eventually just removing it to heal, I decided to tryout Cleopatra. Came with my cousin on a Thursday afternoon to get a 3rd piercing on one ear and a double high lobe set on the other. I initially was going get a daith piercing as well, but Cleo was honest and stated that the anatomy of my ear wouldn't work well with one. I was impressed that she wouldn't just try to do it anyways, since some other piercers are all about the money. The "shop" itself is more of a rented room in one big cosmetic office, but the whole setup is clean and professional. Cleo was extremely kind and detail oriented. She showed me all the possible earrings I could choose from, whether it was stainless steel to 14k gold. I wouldn't say there was a huge amount of options, but there were a good amount. The piercing process was quick and easy. She was careful to clean each piercing and even came back to them later on, making sure they were perfect. With all 3 piercings I ended up spending $150 which may seem like a lot, but I'd rather come here than go somewhere cheap and regret it later. The price of each lobe piercing was $20, and with the purchase of 1 pair of stainless steel gold plated star studs ($30) and 1 pair of 14k gold black studs ($60), I honestly think it was a much better deal than most places. I also have to mention that Cleo even cleaned my cousin T's piercings for free. She noticed her 4 cartilage piercings (that Cleo didn't even pierce herself) were infected and took the time to carefully remove each one, completely cleaning the jewelry and wound, and putting them back in after they've been sterilized. All in all, I would recommend going to Cleo. Saw some other comments saying she "didn't speak English" and that most definitely was not true. If anything, her accent makes her even cooler. read more
