Stay very far away. My pool motor was incorrectly installed twice by them and leaked everywhere. I know this because the last tech showed me how the shaft seal was installed backwards and how the previous tech ruined the motor backplate removing the old seal. The motor had water in it due to the incorrect install attempts and the loud whining noise of the bearings could be heard, signaling imminent motor failure. I paid them about $900 and they argued with me about replacing the motor when I asked them to do it, trying to tell me it was my pump housing! Well, they replaced the motor, but not before the tech surreptitiously unbolts one of my other motors from it's pump and removed the 2 screws holding the diffuser to the backplate, causing severe pump cavitation and the entire motor and pump to violently shake! Talk about unethical, causing a new problem on purpose to try to get me to call them and pay them more money for a problem they intentionally caused!!! I had replaced the motor they tampered with 2 months before, and it had worked perfectly up until about an hour after they left, when it kicked in for it's daily cycle. I thought, why in the world is this happening, but quickly learned what they did when I felt how loose the bolts were that hold the backplate to the pump. As soon as I pulled the motor, I saw the two screws that I personally installed were missing, which caused the cavitation! I replaced them and everything was back to normal. I will never use this vendor again for anything, and I make sure to tell everyone I know with a pool to stay away. If a vendor intentionally goes out of their way to cause more problems because they lose money on a job their techs are not qualified to handle, they should be shut down and run out of town. Do NOT use them for a re-plaster job or new build either... Apparently they were being sued by the attorneys that run Morgan & Morgan due to a disaster renovation that caused their pool to leak. Took my Polaris in for a new wheel and came back to pick it up and it was in a million pieces and I was told I needed a new one. The only thing broken was the wheel! I do not recommend. read more

There have been multiple issues with our pool, starting with installation, liner problems, leaks, and broken equipment. Just had yet another problem. Pool is 2 years old. Poor communication. My neighbor who also used them had a bad experience. read more

My experience with them has been frustrating. They have not done what they said they would do, have been 'sneaky' in some of their dealings and have been generally difficult to work with. I do not trust them from a competency standpoint or an honesty standpoint. I would look elsewhere for pool construction or pool maintenance. read more

I am not quite sure what the other review is saying. I have never had such great customer service or personal attention when working on my pool. Other companies in town just want to sell you equipment and other things I don't need. Clearwater has been very helpful in solving chemical and chemistry problems in my pool. They have excellent supplies in the store and other necessary items for outside. I would highly recommend Clearwater to anybody. read more

Wish I could give them a 0. Every single step of my pool process was done incorrectly and had to be fixed. When we would question them or show them wrong they belittled us and name called. The owner sent texts telling us we were exhausting, and that everything was our fault etc. Most unprofessional business I've ever seen. Worst experience ever. Dug a hole in my yard in November and pool was not done until the next August, right in time for summer to be over. They said everything was our fault. If I could give them a ZERO I would. First the service went downhill. Not blowing off the pool deck. Not maintaining the pool as there were staff changes. Then they call and offer to maintain our decorative fountain. I think that's a good idea, negotiate a reasonable price. They then break the pump and expect me to pay for it. Now sending me to collections!?! For something you broke? Right in front of me, the kid snapped the top off the pump. Offered to pay for half. Not paying the full amount. LEARN how to adjust pH- DUH!!!!! I was really impressed with how friendly the people were and how knowledgable they SEEMED- seemed being the key word. My water ph was 7.6 and they sold me a lie of alkaline product with computer generated instructions (you'd think a computer might know better) to add a large quantity to my pool to make the pH drop - yes drop- to 7.2. Yes a repeat of one star review below. As a pool owner I might think that the pool care people should understand how pH works- low acid - high base. Apparently they and their computer do NOT. Id recommend amazon or walmart for your chemical needs. read more

I would not recommend. I trusted them to install a new pool liner. I have been done this 2 or 3 times with my pool and shared with them my past experiences. After several MONTHS of a leaky pool after install, I could not get a call back or a satisfactory answer / solution. I called another company and it was resolved in less than a week. I should not have to beg for service after paying over $4500 for a new liner for them to do the job right. I could go on and on with other stories I have overlooked as I liked their lead tech. He is now gone and so am I.... I would suggest you look elsewhere. read more

They had their third strike today. My initial contact with them was about 2 months ago. I called inquiring about an electric pool cleaner. The young lady that answered the phone could not give me any info. She said I had to speak to the owner , but he was busy, so he would have to call me back. Well two months later, no one has called me back. So that was that. I thought maybe it was a sign, that I should not spend $1,000 minimum on that. My second contact was last Thursday. I got my panel repaired on my pool, and they told me to get in to a place, get my water checked, remove the metal that I obviously had, etc. I went to Leslie's, but the employee no showed, so I decided to give Clearwater a shot. There was one woman there. She said there were normally 3, but they were out. So an hour later, she had tested my water, and told me to put 21 lbs of alkalinity up in my pool, among other things. I bought a bunch of stuff. This is definitely partly my fault, because I usually put a fraction of the recommended and test the water. For some reason I trusted her, and my alk is so high, I had to start adding muriatic acid. Ugh. I am so mad at myself. Well I went back today, and they had no one there during business hours at all to test my water and help me out. It was 9:30! They had been open for half an hour! She said how about leaving my water, and someone would call me. What? No! So I had no choice but to go back at Leslie's. I just added my second gallon of muriatic acid. After the first, I was still 600 ppm over what it should be. I guess no pool places are going to tell you that whatever the printout says, do only half, or maybe even a quarter, and then see where you are. So they are the same as Leslie's, but Leslie's has muriatic acid. Clearwater apparently is going to send you to a hardware store to get it. This place obviously does not care about customer service. read more

I highly recommend Clearwater Pools. I'm really impressed by their responsiveness, knowledge and caring attitudes. I had a REALLY bad problem with another pool company. I got immediate service and advice when I stopped by. Then, when I called in to give a report, Heather stopped what she was doing and came to the rescue yet again.
