History
Established in 1979.
As a contractor with my own construction business; I have rebuilt the Pharmacy at Water Tower Place, done a gut rehab on a kosher Deli while it was open and operating (doing sections at a time), built several comic book stores and drug stores, and done countless residential and commercial rehabs; as well as additions, new construction, industrial work, supervised volunteer projects, complicated HVAC systems, underground & earth projects (I have a bobcat, backhoe attachment, and dump trailer), landscaping, roofing, kitchens, baths, concrete, and plenty of things that do not fall into any category.
Meet the Business Owner: Mike c.
I grew up in and around a sheet metal shop- owned, operated, loved, and worked by my father; and his father before him. I (like my father) was very good in math & science, and (again like him) studied engineering in college (Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago). Then, I learned how to drive a bull-dozer, inspected soil compaction (when Fox Valley shopping center was being built), superintended the building of a housing subdivision, Carpentry, Rehab, repairs, amintainence, - 30 years experiance. did survey work for a dredging company (often dropping buoys in front of a dredge in the Ohio River from the motor boat I was piloting). I took an informal apprenticeship with a rehab carpenter & contractor working on Chicago Victorians. Took some time doing holistic health in California. Superintended gut rehabs of full floors of downtown Chicago office buildings. And went out on my own as a carpentry & general contractor in 1979. The same year I moved to Wicker Park
