This was on a Friday. They were able schedule for Monday morning. Patrick, the service technician, was prompt and sent a text to say he was on his way. Do not recommend ProChimney as they are OVERPRICED. John barely inspected our fireplace. I had to ask him to look at the exhaust outside. They charged us $199 for "inspection" and cleaning, but then upcharged us $377 for remote & receiver replacement (which we found out parts only cost $50, so maybe $100 tops with labor, but no, it was over 3x that, $377 to be exact). I would have understood if they replaced the old pilot, which John said will eventually go out. Also, when I asked about warranty, the best they could do is 6 months. Not even a whole year to last until the next season to guarantee their level of workmanship and service. Customer service is lacking, I would get service somewhere else, and there won't be a next time. read more

The dryer vent hadn't been cleaned in many years and the dryer indicated there was a blockage so it had stopped working. Pro Chimney came out at the scheduled time and the technician worked hard to clear out the vents. He cleaned out the dryer unit as well using specialized extendable brushes which worked well. They were very responsive and scheduled an appointment quickly. The quoted price for duct cleaning was $199, which was lower than most others. Once arrived, Dealo looked at our HVAC and said our HVAC itself needed to be cleaned and it wouldn't be worth it to clean the ducts themselves without also cleaning the HVAC. Turns out, that quote was $575 plus the $199 for the ducts. Not being a pro myself and already having the men in the house, I felt a little stuck. Do I cancel on the spot, call around for other quotes to clean both the ducts and the HVAC? Or just go with the quote as offered? I did the latter but an expected $199 expense turned into $834. They also tried to charge $130 for cleaning my dryer vent, but I declined (and they kindly cleaned it anyway. Which was nice but other quotes dryer vent cleaning for free.) would definitely ask about other possible charges because at the end of the day I suspect I overpaid. read more

Great customer service to learn about services and pricing, but after that it went downhill. I had a dryer that was not working and I scheduled for a dryer vent cleaning. The day of the appointment this no longer felt like a local business as I received multiple calls from a number that would not leave a message. When I called back I found out that they needed to cancel my appointment due to an emergency with the employee coming. So, I wait another 5 days and when the guy arrives he was unaware of the emergency that I mentioned and said I hoped all was ok. He got here and it was clear he did not want to do the work. Advised me that since the dryer wasn't working he couldn't clean the vent. I think he pretended to call his boss to get someone else out here to fix the dryer. No call back from them to schedule the fix. No follow up and the guy asked me for cash to cover his costs to get to my home. I assume the company pays him but perhaps he is a contractor. Nonetheless I will not be contacting them for the actual cleaning now that I have a new dryer. read more

I just started my search for a company to clean my dryer vent YESTERDAY! Immediately, I got an email from John at Pro Chimney. His quote was lower than any others I got yesterday, and the company's reviews are great. Well, here's another satisfied customer. They fit me into their schedule for today between 1 and 3pm. Patrick from Pro Chimney texted me at about 12:40pm saying he was 20 minutes away. Right on time - gotta love it! He showed up, was extremely professional, clearly knew what he was doing, and didn't mind my shadowing him so I could watch a completely unfamiliar process. The job was a bit more difficult than they'd imagined, so my price went up a little but not much from the initial quote. And wow, was that thing clogged! But yet, it only took Patrick about an hour to manage this tall order of a task. He kept me informed about what he was doing, and he gave me suggestions on what I could do to my venting system to prevent such severe clogs in the future.
