Our insurance made us whole on the plumbing work, but fought us on restoring our basement back to its previous finished state. This is where Rapid Response came in. After reaching out to Rapid Response and hearing our situation, Daryl reassured us this is their speciality and they will work with our insurance. From there, Rapid Response took this nightmare off our hands and communicated clearly through the entire process. He gave me a thorough education about the process and gave me helpful advice right from the first moment. His help over the phone was always clear and accurate. He set us on the right path immediately. Seth and his crew were in our house within 48 hours to do the mitigation and boy were they thorough. The floor was pulled up, the room was disinfected and dried. And all the while, Daryl and Seth made sure that we had the documentation and backup necessary to communicate with our homeowners insurance company. With the mitigation done, the crew came back a few weeks later to actually do the repairs and get our floors back to the condition they were in before. This was equally impressive. The workmanship was truly beautiful. Seth has a great eye for design and color. Everything matches and looks beautiful. I would not recommend this business…read more I had an active leak in my condo on a Saturday afternoon, with water coming through the ceiling and into a hardwired smoke detector. The alarm was going off, my property manager's emergency line was not answering, and the condo association's published emergency number was invalid. I eventually called the non-emergency fire station because I was concerned about water in the smoke detector and whether it could affect the building's alarm/sprinkler system. Hours later, around 10:30 PM, I received a call from someone who described himself as calling from an "emergency line." In that moment, I assumed he was connected to the property manager, condo association, or emergency response, and I started explaining the situation because I thought help had finally arrived. Instead, after a gut feeling something was "off", I discovered that he had gotten my name from fire department dispatch information and was contacting me to solicit business. Even after I told him I did not appreciate being called at 10:30 at night with him claiming to respond to my emergency call, he demanded the names of the property manager and property owner. That is wildly inappropriate. An active leak involving water damage and a smoke detector is not a marketing opportunity. Using emergency-response information and vague "emergency line" language to get someone on the phone during an active crisis is misleading and predatory. I would never hire or recommend someone who conducts business this way. I didn't trust this guy after just a few minutes on the phone with him, I definitely wouldn't let him in my house.

I finally get the bill and it's $24,0000. They charged my credit card! The insurance company stated they inflated their bill 10 times what a normal remediation service would cost.
