Bowl

We tried 3 shakes, 1 bowl, 1 wrap, 2 sandwiches and the avocado toast and everything was pretty ok.. the shakes specially needed more flavor and were pretty disappointing. Service was good and place was nice and clean

So some good things: quick pickup, healthy options, open for dinner, and nutrition facts available online and food/drinks were decent. BUT wayyy overpriced for what I got. I ordered the Cali sandwich and it had a single slice of chicken and blackened avocado... like literally gone bad. It was $15 for this flimsy sandwich. It would have been good with more meat and fresh avocado. I also got the energy juice, which was good. Came room temp but I liked the flavor.

I found out about Clean Juice through GrubHub when I was looking for açaí near me! I ordered for pickup and my order was ready when I arrived (less than 15 minutes). I ordered The Peanut Butter Bowl with Almond Butter Drizzle. $13.95+tax/tip. May be pricey but I thought it was a pretty good size and kept me full. The base was made with bananas, peanut butter, maca root, almond milk, and maple syrup. I liked the combination of the crunchy granola and cacao toppings with the smooth banana base. Although my banana toppings were a bit too overripe and almost mushy imo. Other than that I enjoyed my bowl! There is plenty of parking and they even have outdoor seating for the warmer months. I'm excited to come back and try some other items!

We were craving something healthy that was nearby O'Hare and stumbled upon Clean Juice. This place is a counter serve restaurant. Everything was very fresh and made to order. My bf ordered the Cali Wrap and really enjoyed how fresh the ingredients were. The wrap was pretty small for the price. I ordered the "Glow One" juice which was very refreshing. If you don't like celery juice, I wouldn't recommend ordering it because the celery in this is very overpowering (which I didn't mind). We bought the red juice (8 oz) to go. With the 3 items we ordered, it came out to be ~$30. It was a bit pricey.

Clean juice got me dirty with the Açaí bowl. Ok, so the honey sticks to my hands.... Overall, the açaí bowl was refreshing, but not super cold. The fruit was not as plentiful as other bowls, but it hit the spot. The staff is helpful and friendly, so i'll have to try the other offerings soon.

Clean Juice is a nice juice option if you're in the mood to be healthy. I really like that they have a prayer jar. It's a jar where you can write a request in a small card and drop it in. At the time we went, the prayer jar was pretty full, and there was a sign next to it that said that all requests up to June 30th have been prayed for (the date we went was August.... so they are slightly behind). In either case, I really like the idea. They have a lot of items in the menu, from smoothies, to acai bowls. Note, if you have a nut allergy like I do, it'll be hard to find something that didn't have almond milk in it, but the people are SUPER nice and said almond milk can be omitted. They also have an allergy card that showcased which items had tree nuts or not. I ended up ordering the "The Slushie One" which consisted of organic strawberries, pineapple, and Coconut Water. It had a slight tart, which I don't mind, because it tells me they don't have a lot of sugar to their drinks (assuming so). The overall vibe of this place, although I believe is a chain, is small-business, and they strive to be healthy. Drinks and items are slightly high, averaging no less than $10, but hey, if it pays to be healthy, which for whatever reason, is the pattern, here in 'Merica.

This is the closest healthy, organic smoothie business in our neighborhood and it's nice to have around. It's in the same strip mall as (actually right next to) the popular Lou Malnati's carryout store and Don Juan's Cantina. The prices are on high side, but they're the same as all the other healthy organic juice shops out there - that's just what this stuff costs. They offer an assortment of organic smoothies, acai bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. My young lady attendant was friendly. I picked up a 24 oz The Healthy Heart One avocado based smoothie for the wife - $11.95, and it was delectable and healthy! For some reason, it was shown online but not on the menu board, but they'll make it with no issue.

what is this a salad for ants?! tiny serving for $15. im not sure if you can call this a "Protein Bowl" when it's not even enough protein for a toddler. flavor was good, fresh produce, chicken was dry. not a good bang for your buck.

Love there juice cleanses. My favorites are the beet and the cashew! Highly recommend a two day juice cleanse. The energy and the inflammation ones are great! Also a good local spot for a quick healthy lunch in a hurry!

Such a nice addition to the park ridge area! It can be really difficult to find a good place for an açaí bowl without having to travel into the city. I ordered the nutty bowl which is a seasonal option. It has Almond Butter, Almond Milk, Banana, Cacao, Granola, Maple Syrup, and Strawberries. All of the ingredients are organic. This bowl was super refreshing. I recommend it. The menu has the calorie information right next to each item.

The Peanut Butter Toast

Leaving 2 stars because I have a mixed experience here. Every other time I order from here everything is great. Then the next time it stinks. For the amount of money they charge they should be serving consistently prepared food. The protein toast sometimes has like 1/3 of the ingredients on that it should. Today my peanut butter toast barley had any bananas, the bananas were old and they looked like they were cut by my 2 year old. Presentation is half the battle with this type of food, make it look pretty and I will like it better even if it tastes mediocre. They also gave me the wrong order today. Why do I keep going back???!!! There's really no other juice bar in town and sometimes I just don't want to make my own peanut butter and banana. But seriously, hire better staff and don't skimp on ingredients that are readily available when u charge me $12 for toast! Lame!

15 dollars for juice over a cup filled with ice is absolutely outrageous. Avoid this place.

By far, the best addition to the neighborhood in a long while. I love the fresh juices and salads. They're expensive but worth it.

Some standouts for me were the steak jibarito, the Philly cheesesteak, and the shawarma bowl. The staff also gave us a freebie which was so thoughtful of them! We ordered takeout, and the food was still hot when we tucked in. I can only imagine the menu is even better in person. Some leeway is required. Damn Google search. I asked for submarine sandwiches suggestions on my homeward travel and this popped. Ordered their namesake Cultura sub, a chicken shawarma and they also offer a Persian menu, so lamb stew. $12.95 sounded too interesting but I didn't notice you must also buy rice separately ('because how can you eat stew without rice! She said' ) additional $5.95 for dill. Honestly, $17.95, yes, this sounds more like the correct price point for a small lamb leg. The dill rice was real. The lamb leg comes in a tomato based stew with beans. I wasn't impressed with the leg, quite bland but the rice could have acted as a carrier for any other stew side or with a topping of shawarma, just as nice. The sandwich was mid. Bread dense. I might be missing something. I wonder now whether the breads are also Persian. Perhaps barbari or a thicker taftoon. If you enjoy Persian it could slap? Personally not impressed especially given the out of pocket around $50. Lack of details on menu items with additional pricing is somewhat aggravating. One and done. At the time of order, a young woman was having tea service. I am not sure whether that is offered to everyone or a specialty enjoyed by the owner with their staff & friends.

We didn't notice until our way out but they also have a drive-thru, and signs that say they offer delivery/are on DoorDash, so with multiple options, Charcoal Flame is convenient. This building looks like it possibly used to be an old 90s/00s KFC or Pizza Hut or something, but it's cozy and clean and we love an easy access parking lot. The menus are expansive and you order at the counter when you walk in. There are plenty of tables for dining in, and a few were taken while we were there. There was a steady stream of phone orders coming in for pick up, and the restaurant was busy overall. We were helped right away and the staff at the counter were so friendly. I ordered a Maxwell street sausage as a meal ($5 additional for a drink and fries) and my partner ordered the American Gyro sandwich and also as a meal. We grabbed a table and our drinks from the fountain machine and only waited a few minutes for the number on our receipt to be called with our order. The food here is so fresh and delicious. This is one of the best Maxwell street sausages I've had around, the bread was perfect and soft inside and crispy on the outside with the sausage split and grilled and perfectly sweet caramelized onions. The fries looked like they came in frozen/pre-cut but were fried up perfect and a generous portion. The Gyro came stacked with meat, it wasn't dry, and had great flavor. Because the food was so delicious I decided to grab a piece of baklava to go, which I was assured was homemade and delicious - and they were right. So sweet, fresh, textured, rich, luxurious. Don't skip the baklava when you stop by! This is definitely a spot that will be added to our regular rotation of lunch/dinner spots around town. Thank you so much Charcoal Flame Grill for a wonderful experience with super friendly staff! Can't wait to see you soon and try more menu items!

The meat was kinda bland, although those humongous greek potato wedges were awesome! I bought the pork chops for din-din with my wife later that night. Unfortunately, the chops were tough and chewy! I know it's tough to cook pork chops, but, they're a restaurant. You'd think they'd know how to cook pork chops the right way. So, in conclusion, it was a big letdown for me on this new find. I'd have to say that their servings are quite abundant, but It terribly lacks in taste and texture, and I don't think quantity equals quality here.
