    Açaí bowl
    Skylar S.

Mingle juice bar is phenomenal and delicious. Easy service with kind staff, this place makes a killer açaí bowl. I love how you can get Nutella in it... even if they kind of defeats the purpose... (From @tastessky on Instagram)

Super fresh and tasty açaí bowls! So many great options and can customize to your preference. Not much room to dine in, so you may need to take to go. Service was quick and friendly. Only 3 stars because 3 bowls were $50. No drinks, just 3 bowls. That's just the too much for what it is.

I would try any bowl or smoothie here without hesitation! Every bowl/smoothie I have had here has been delicious with the added bonus of being healthy. I'm pretty confident I've made it through their entire menu. As for the muffins and chia pudding, I can live without. Had the chia pudding once and I had to dump tablespoons of cinnamon to make it enjoyable. Price point is a little steep at roughly $10/item but it won't be money wasted. Parking is plentiful; there is a garage as well. Place is clean, inviting, and colorful. Service is okay; my last visit was the first time we were greeted with a smile, effusive energy, and friendliness. It wasn't unfriendly before, just different but always quick service. They do have a rewards program; you have to enter your number after each transaction in order to get the points. I usually forget to do this so no freebies yet.

Great place to get organic, healthy smoothies! Tons of options, and they even have different types of açaí/smoothie bowls. You can customize your smoothies with one of the add-ons to make it exactly what you crave. I got the peanut butter bomb smoothie, which has peanut butter vegan protein, peanut butter, pb2, and banana. I LOVE peanut butter so this was the perfect smoothie for me. It was a perfect level of sweet and refreshing on a warm, summer day.

Located right in the Glen near the movie theater and Potbelly's pretty much in the center of the whole thing. It's a great location and very cute chic and modern on the inside. I got an Acai bowl and it was fantastic! I recommend getting honey on top for extra sweetness!!

This is a wonderful place to get fresh and light lunch. The space is very open and beautifully decorated and really adds to the enjoyable experience you have here. The people behind the counter were amazingly helpful, and I needed that. I had no clue what I was ordering and they explained everything to me. The are without a doubt the best juice bar around. Stop in and give it a try.

    $35.09 for this?

Went there with friends today that had fond memories of a year ago. Listen, Covid is not an excuse for bad quality or assembly of a simple product. Like some of the other reviews, I wanted to support small business and we actually drove from Lake Forest to have this product. Covid it's not the problem, waiting for the outside is not the problem and neither is the clients standing there waiting with us. The other reviews say basically the same thing so I'm not gonna say it again. The base of the product was soupy, the lime was at least three weeks old, the bananas should have been saved for bread and the honey was all over the outside, all over the table, all over one of the purses, I mean get the honey in the bowl not all over the outside of each bowl; seriously! $35.00?

Love the green protein smoothie I ordered. Perfect breakfast on the go and hit the spot.

Two smoothie bowls and a smoothie. Great options on the menu.

Since my last review I've become a more regular visitor. My favorite is now the relax bowl, with peanut butter. It's a Delicious breakfast or lunch alternative. It's particularly great on a warm day when you're already in the glen or passing by. Most days I don't even wait longer than three minutes for my bowl. I've also had the opportunity to try some of their smoothies and they do not disappoint as well! Staff is friendly and they now have a rewards program to earn a free bowl.

Came here around 2pm on Friday. They were already closed.

I have been a frequent customer at mingle since they opened. I have a few issues with this establishment. They never answer phone calls and the hours are not always correct. Maybe by answering their phone once in a while it would save people the trip. Also the quality of their smoothies and smoothie bowls has gone down drastically. Not sure if there is a new crew training or whatever the problem is but my smoothie bowls have came out watery for the past month that I have been coming here. I am not really a huge fan of soupy açaí bowls. Today, even though their hours state that they close at 6, they were closed around 2pm.

Instead, the employee suggested ordering a menu item that she said was similar. We took her recommendation, but after trying it, the kids didn't like the taste and would have preferred the simple smoothie they originally wanted. When my wife asked if it could be exchanged, we were told that because we ordered a menu item, it could not be changed. We ended up spending nearly $90 for five items, and unfortunately, the experience left us disappointed. Good customer service means helping customers when a recommendation doesn't work out, especially when it involves children. We felt the business was more concerned about making the sale than ensuring customer satisfaction. Sadly, we won't be returning.

You can order from the menu's bowls, wraps or salad or "walk the line" and build a dish from the ingredients set up a la Chipotle. I ordered the first thing -- Superfood because it sounded healthy but I didn't know what was in it (my bad). The calorie counts, carb counts are not listed anywhere and not on the website. It was ok, probably more protein than I needed. Personally I could have done without the raisins (I looked it up - raisins have many benefits) so the salad was ok. My companion really enjoyed their Carolina grains bowl. We also ordered chips and hummus. I think because I am confused by Currito it won't be top of mind for me when I am selecting a place to eat. Do I want a healthy bowl, do I want a salad, do I want a wrap--will I be thinking of Currito? There were a few people stopping in to pick up and we were the only people dining in. It could be that others are confused by Currito as well.

I have been excited about the addition of Bean Bar to our neighborhood in downtown Northbrook for a…read morewhile.  We finally had a chance to visit together before we went to the Art in the Park the Saturday of the Mother's Day weekend!  It totally justified all the hype! Given it was a Saturday, there was an annual art fair in the Village Green close by, and the Mother's Day weekend, we expected it to be very busy, and it was justifiable so.  There was a rather long line placing orders at the cashier, but it moved quickly.  There were many laminated menus for us to read while waiting in line.  The cashier was friendly, patient, and helpful in answering questions.  Our daughter ordered an Avocado Toast and a Berry Zen Refresher.  My husband and I found that a good idea, and each of us also ordered an Avocado Toast, although I had hoped that I got different types of dishes to photograph, lol.  Husband had a Cappuccino, and I had a large Iced Pistachio Latte (oat milk).  This simple brunch came up to $77.34 with tip, and it's worth it. All 3 Avocado Toasts were perfectly made.  All the ingredients were very fresh, although there wasn't a lot of seasoning, the taste of each ingredient worked well together to achieve a delicious dish.  I especially liked the over easy egg and the crispy edges of the warm toast.  My Iced Pistachio Latte was very good without being too sweet. Although the food and drinks were the star, the ambiance was so pleasing and relaxed that totally elevated the entire experience.  The dining room with high ceiling and chandeliers was spacious and beautiful.  There were many different types of seating for patrons -- big comfy couches, regular tables, high-tops, small booths, conference rooms with long table and chairs, small private rooms... not to mention about the large sheltered patio with many tables and seats!  As I have mentioned, we went at a busy time, there were not a lot of tables left for dining purposes, we opted for a high-top.  Even though the venue was almost filled to capacity, it still felt very airy and comfortable.  I could just chill there happily for half a day with my latte! However, there were small hiccups that fortunately did not ruin our first experience there.  My husband's and daughter's drink came out almost instantly after we sat down, but I had to chase down a staff (there's no servers except for the staff who delivered the dishes or cleaned tables) to tell him that my drink was missing.  I told him that it's supposed to be cold but with no ice.  He immediately got me a Pistachio Latte but with ice.  The cashier lady had specified no ice on when she placed the order for me, I talked to her about this and she offered to make me a new one, but I had already had a sip and didn't want to put the drink to waste, so I just kept it.  I later scooped out all the ice so that it did not dilute my drink, and it was good.  I must mention that the food came out in just 5 minutes even though the place was busy. Our high-top table wobbled when we used our knives and forks to cut the toasts, not a very big deal, but the restaurant could easily have that fixed as I am pointing it out now, It's one of the high-tops under the BB sign. This brunch kicked off a very happy Mother's Day weekend.  I was in a very good mood going to the art fair from Bean Bar.  We will definitely return to try the many other items on their menu.
