Recently ordered an acai bowl - the base was premade so it was a solid puck. Even after defrosting at room temp for over 30 minutes the texture was really icy and unappetizing. Really disappointed by the experience and probabaly won't return to this location. On a positive note, the location was very clean and welcoming. read more

This Tropical Fruit Smoothie Cafe is definitely my go-to for a quick meal for my kids. They offer a good amount of useful coupons through local mailers and it's great now that they offer an online code option for utilization. The location itself is convenient and parking at this plaza you may need to walk a little bit, but you can always find a spot. I typically order online and if I choose ASAP (generally 10 minute ready time) it's always there waiting and the food is still warm. The app is easier now then it used to be to utilize the promo codes. The cafe is usually pretty clean and quiet, there's usually a continuous flow of in and out people traffic. Upon pickup today the staff was very kind to a young lady who accidentally spilled her smoothie on the counter - my guess is that they kindly replaced it for her. read more

This time I ordered some flatbreads for order pickup through the app. It was very easy and our order was ready at the designated time. We tried the Chicken Pesto, Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Mango Bacon Brie. All three were pretty good, they had enough sauce on them and the chicken was not dry. Each flatbread also came with 1 side of your choice, chips and or apple/banana were included as sides. We got chips and that was the perfect compliment to the flatbread. read more

I made an app order and came to the store at the pick up time. A girl helped me and asked who I assumed was her boss about it. He just said that he made it and they were busy so someone took it and they can't do anything about it. The girl who originally helped me talked to him and I heard him say my order was a reward item so I highly doubt he actually made the order. What a waste of time and horrible customer service. He should learn some customer service skills and maybe their reviews wouldn't be so bad. Don't go to this location and waste your time and money here. You'll be disappointed. read more

Wraps are kiddie size or snack size for the normal sized wraps I am used from other establishments. This wrap combined would have fit one half of Grill Houses wrap. Apple Kale slaw is too heavy on mayo of some kind it was offputting with soggy apple bit that was limping like a noodle for a side dish option. No way am I spending that much money again for a smoothie and a "kids meal". Barely a taste of peanut sauce in the thai chicken wrap there also were undetectable portions of wonton. Ill go to the store and make myself the same thing. Will I order from them again? Probably not. Was trying an healthy option though. Smoothie was nothing to write home about as other places nearby makes really good ones as this smoothie had chocolate, strawberry and banana. Banana makes smoothies more creamier... this one had no factor of creaminess nor a strong banana taste to it. I had to hunt for the flavor. Just heard this location was robbed at gunpoint a few days ago (!) Clearly, they took not only the deodorant but the air conditioning as well. Obviously taken over after Covid by new franchisee. I stopped in this morning and the person waiting on me was not wearing a mask. Until the mask mandate is lifted, I will not be back. I prefer to patronize businesses that take public health seriously plus I have a health condition that puts me at risk if I get covid-19. I'm so glad we discovered Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Everything is just VERY flavorful, without being overloaded with salt or fatty sauces. We had Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla, Tropical Teriyaki Flatbread, and Sunrise Sunset Smoothie, with Jalapeno Roasted Corn and Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes as sides. Shared all of it between 2 hungry adults. - Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla: Zesty, crispy, perfect mix of ingredients, each still with its discernable flavor. - Tropical Teriyaki Flatbread: Savory grilled bread and flavorful chicken breast enhanced by fruity chutney. - Jalapeno Roasted Corn: not elote style, which is to say I LIKED having less mayo than I expected. The grilled corn flavor really punches through. - Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes: I've never had such delicious sweet potatoes. Usually they're way overcooked. THESE bites were light and delicious and tasted like they were plucked from the produce section only after we ordered them. They just tasted FRESH and full flavor. Very little on common with candied yams. - Sunrise Sunset Smoothie was just light and fresh and citrusy without the heavy syrupy texture too often offered in smoothie places. Loved it. read more

I went in here not expecting alot to be honest, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. First off, great ingrediants, fresh ingrediants, and quality all at a more than reasonable price. I thought for sure this place would be way more expensive than it was. If you want a healthy yet plentiful bite without the expensive healthy fresh price, this is the place to go! Ordered their namesake Cultura sub, a chicken shawarma and they also offer a Persian menu, so lamb stew. $12.95 sounded too interesting but I didn't notice you must also buy rice separately ('because how can you eat stew without rice! She said' ) additional $5.95 for dill. Honestly, $17.95, yes, this sounds more like the correct price point for a small lamb leg. The dill rice was real. The lamb leg comes in a tomato based stew with beans. I wasn't impressed with the leg, quite bland but the rice could have acted as a carrier for any other stew side or with a topping of shawarma, just as nice. The sandwich was mid. Bread dense. I might be missing something. I wonder now whether the breads are also Persian. Perhaps barbari or a thicker taftoon. If you enjoy Persian it could slap? Personally not impressed especially given the out of pocket around $50. Lack of details on menu items with additional pricing is somewhat aggravating. One and done. At the time of order, a young woman was having tea service. I am not sure whether that is offered to everyone or a specialty enjoyed by the owner with their staff & friends.

I checked Yelp and ordered from Hofherr Meat based on the stellar reviews. I often peek into Hofherr Meat when walking into Shred415 so was excited to finally try it! About 2 days before I was telling a friend where i got my turkey and she asked me how i plan to cook it. Cook it?? It literally had not occurred to me that my turkey would be raw. If it's not obvious from this review and ALL my restaurant reviews the kitchen is not where I shine. I called Hofherr to ask if they could cook my turkey and while apparently they do that it was too late to put in the request. Good to know for next time. Wednesday morning I joined the rest of the North Shore to pick up my raw turkey. I ran into a friend while waiting for it who is more of an expert when it comes to making turkeys and she asked them to give me gravy, a turkey bag (apparently easier and lessy messy to cook in a bag) and some directions. The next day I followed their directions along with some help from my bestie chatgpt. I stuck it in the oven and crossed my fingers we wouldn't be going without a turkey this thanksgsiving. We had a little mishap when the thermometer melted into the turkey (oops), but besides that it really wasn't too difficult of a process. And while I had trouble eating a turkey after seeing it raw my family was thrilled that it was perfectly moist and praised my turkey making skills. I did have a few bites and did think it was pretty good- and i dont even like turkey. I would definitely get my turkey from here again, although next time i'll be ordering a cooked turkey out of convenience. But for those of you who like to cook a turkey I recommend them!
