I was in the vicinity and dropped in here and picked up a 24 oz acai berry boost smoothie. It was prepared readily and was a refreshing and healthy drink. When I picked up the drink, I thought, dang-weird, the drink isn't even cold. But the best thing about their drink products, and this was my first visit to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, is that they use great quality foam cups that really insulate your hand from a long lasting and ice cold drink. Best smoothie cups ever! And the smoothie is pretty dang good too. Kudos, and thank you! read more

Recently, after I had some dental work done in the late afternoon, I just assumed that I could not eat that evening, and searched on Yelp for a nice smoothie place. I felt so lucky that Tropical Smoothie Café is so close to home! It is located in the strip mall called Plaza del Prado, where Jewel-Osco has been there for decades. I passed by the mall so often, but had not noticed Tropical Smoothie just a few stores from Jewel-Osco! I did not have their app; I just walked in to order a Mango Monsoon smoothie. The guy behind the counter was friendly and efficient. He worked on the smoothie right away. I was able to leave the store with my smoothie within 5 minutes! There was only another customer at the time when I left. The Mango Monsoon was refreshing and not too sweet. I couldn't believe that I finished all 22-24 oz. in no time! It was delicious! I guess the price of $7.99 plus tips and tax seems fair. Next time I will try some of their food items on their menu too! read more

My girls love tropical smoothie! Their wraps and smoothies are delicious and nutritious. Quick service and cute ambiance!

This Tropical Fruit Smoothie Cafe is definitely my go-to for a quick meal for my kids. They offer a good amount of useful coupons through local mailers and it's great now that they offer an online code option for utilization. The location itself is convenient and parking at this plaza you may need to walk a little bit, but you can always find a spot. I typically order online and if I choose ASAP (generally 10 minute ready time) it's always there waiting and the food is still warm. The app is easier now then it used to be to utilize the promo codes. The cafe is usually pretty clean and quiet, there's usually a continuous flow of in and out people traffic. Upon pickup today the staff was very kind to a young lady who accidentally spilled her smoothie on the counter - my guess is that they kindly replaced it for her. read more

Recently ordered an acai bowl - the base was premade so it was a solid puck. Even after defrosting at room temp for over 30 minutes the texture was really icy and unappetizing. Really disappointed by the experience and probabaly won't return to this location. On a positive note, the location was very clean and welcoming. read more

This time I ordered some flatbreads for order pickup through the app. It was very easy and our order was ready at the designated time. We tried the Chicken Pesto, Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Mango Bacon Brie. All three were pretty good, they had enough sauce on them and the chicken was not dry. Each flatbread also came with 1 side of your choice, chips and or apple/banana were included as sides. We got chips and that was the perfect compliment to the flatbread. read more

This location is convenient for me as I frequently pass by this plaza. Never had any issues with ordering from the app, and it's always been ready by the time I get there. My wife gets the Mango Magic and I usually get either the Peanut Butter Cup or Mocha Madness with whey protein. Fast service and always tastes great! read more

I love this place they have absolutely amazing acai bowls! I would 100% percent recommend them if you are an açaí bowl lover like me!!

We really enjoyed this hidden gem in a busy shopping center. The employees were so kind and patient. They were busy and took their time with us. Very fresh ingredients, and so many different options. Download the app because they do offer rewards for ordering with them. I will definitely be back. Oh, don't forget to try the edible straw. So much fun!!! read more

Good service nice team. I love all of the employees positive attitude and their assistance. Thank you!

I made an app order and came to the store at the pick up time. A girl helped me and asked who I assumed was her boss about it. He just said that he made it and they were busy so someone took it and they can't do anything about it. The girl who originally helped me talked to him and I heard him say my order was a reward item so I highly doubt he actually made the order. What a waste of time and horrible customer service. He should learn some customer service skills and maybe their reviews wouldn't be so bad. Don't go to this location and waste your time and money here. You'll be disappointed. read more

Detox drinks always delicious. It may sound silly to spend so much on a smoothie but it's worth it. I appreciate their delicious fruit and vegetables smoothies. Anything with pineapple and mango is good with me. read more

Wraps are kiddie size or snack size for the normal sized wraps I am used from other establishments. This wrap combined would have fit one half of Grill Houses wrap. Apple Kale slaw is too heavy on mayo of some kind it was offputting with soggy apple bit that was limping like a noodle for a side dish option. No way am I spending that much money again for a smoothie and a "kids meal". Barely a taste of peanut sauce in the thai chicken wrap there also were undetectable portions of wonton. Ill go to the store and make myself the same thing. Will I order from them again? Probably not. Was trying an healthy option though. Smoothie was nothing to write home about as other places nearby makes really good ones as this smoothie had chocolate, strawberry and banana. Banana makes smoothies more creamier... this one had no factor of creaminess nor a strong banana taste to it. I had to hunt for the flavor. The food goodness is just not jiving well today from them. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - See how small this wrap was.... expensive for the tiny amount.... - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Glenview, Illinois

Kids love their sunrise sunset smoothie. There is a nutrition menu online which helps a lot.

Stopped at about 8:30am. Hours on door indicate they are open. Doors are locked but lights are on. Waste of time stopping.

I stopped in this morning and the person waiting on me was not wearing a mask. Until the mask mandate is lifted, I will not be back. I prefer to patronize businesses that take public health seriously plus I have a health condition that puts me at risk if I get covid-19. UPDATE - Owner indicates that employee forgot her mask and was waiting for one to be brought to her. It would be awesome if an emergency box of surgical masks were kept in the store for situations like this! read more

Just heard this location was robbed at gunpoint a few days ago (!) Clearly, they took not only the deodorant but the air conditioning as well. Obviously taken over after Covid by new franchisee. Careful, many smoothies have sugar added unless you request otherwise. But with all this corner-cutting, who knows what condition the fruits are being kept at anyway? read more

Awful customer service. A franchise owned and operated business should not treat loyal customers the way the Glenview location did. Go to Blended in Glenview instead. read more

I'm so glad we discovered Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Everything is just VERY flavorful, without being overloaded with salt or fatty sauces. We had Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla, Tropical Teriyaki Flatbread, and Sunrise Sunset Smoothie, with Jalapeno Roasted Corn and Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes as sides. Shared all of it between 2 hungry adults. - Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla: Zesty, crispy, perfect mix of ingredients, each still with its discernable flavor. - Tropical Teriyaki Flatbread: Savory grilled bread and flavorful chicken breast enhanced by fruity chutney. - Jalapeno Roasted Corn: not elote style, which is to say I LIKED having less mayo than I expected. The grilled corn flavor really punches through. - Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes: I've never had such delicious sweet potatoes. Usually they're way overcooked. THESE bites were light and delicious and tasted like they were plucked from the produce section only after we ordered them. They just tasted FRESH and full flavor. Very little on common with candied yams. - Sunrise Sunset Smoothie was just light and fresh and citrusy without the heavy syrupy texture too often offered in smoothie places. Loved it. read more

There is nothing false about anything I said in my review. I hope this location gets shut down by the health department. I'll be making sure that they do check ups on this locations a lot. read more

Great summer stop! Various options to pick from! I love the Bahama Mama! Multiple locations popping up.

I loved the strawberry/banana smoothie I had there, was already made vegan without modifications. The staff was very friendly too and able to answer my question about the plant based "chicken" on the menu. Will definitely go back to try another flavor. read more

Always excellent service and the best go to for healthy food. Lots of great smoothie options, salads and wraps !

I am absolutely disappointed with how my order came. The delivery man stole half of my order and one worker named Ryan had a horrible attitude and was yelling at me when I was at the glenview location last week. He ruined my order several times and sneezed in my food. He deserves to be fired! read more

Smoothies are tasty and refreshing. My favorite wrap is the Buffalo chicken and I feel like it has the perfect amount of spice/hot flavor. I went in here not expecting alot to be honest, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. First off, great ingrediants, fresh ingrediants, and quality all at a more than reasonable price. I thought for sure this place would be way more expensive than it was. If you want a healthy yet plentiful bite without the expensive healthy fresh price, this is the place to go! They also gave me a coupon for a smoothie for the next time I come in! 10/10 I recommend. read more

UPDATE: In my previous post I mentioned my experience visiting this establishment. It would only be RIGHT that I provide an UPDATE to that experience. The owner Luanne, the "bubbly" person that I enjoyed seeing every visit (whom I briefly mentioned in my first post) came by to see me and apologized for the experience that occurred. Luanne, just KNOW that I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU! :) Simply because of Luanne's: genuine sincerity, consistent kindness, and outstanding personality, I would return to support her and her business. Thank you Luanne for the time you took out of your day to reach out to me in person. I KNOW that you care which meant everything to me. PLUS, I really MISS when YOU make my FAVORITE smoothie. I wish all the very best to you and your success. I will return simply because YOU ARE AN AMMMAZINNG WOMAN of OUTSTANDING CHARACTER! 0:-) See you soon. Best wishes always. ~CGS read more

We placed an order for Glenbrook Hospital's ER, through GiveInKind. The owner, Lynn was marvelous to work with. Not only did they fill our requested order, they doubled it as their own donation to the hospital. They represent what the true spirit of America is all about during these difficult times. Give them a try when you can. They are in Plaza Del Prado near the Jewel and McDonald's at Willow and Pfingsten. read more
