We arranged for a visit and after a short look around the house to give us a quote, he got started. It's rare for me to leave a review and has unfortunately taken me a little while to actually get around to writing this what with a new baby at home who surprised us a bit early, but like other reviewers, I ENTHUSIASTICALLY AND COMPLETELY RECOMMEND Adolfo for your carpet cleaning needs and would encourage you - DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE! Because the rest of this is going to be long here is the takeaway - while his up front estimates may be higher than other companies, it's likely going to be much more in line with what he finally charges (definitely not our experience with another company!) and is honestly worth every penny. He is professional and communicative, showing up on time, and both efficient and extremely effective with his work. Our carpets honestly look better now than when we first moved in 7 years ago, and even now, a few months after we got the cleaning done, they look and feel completely refreshed. I seriously cannot express how pleased we are with Adolfo, and only wish we would've went with him from the start. So if you're considering another company - don't! Go with this local professional. He is 110% deserving of your business. ------------------------------------- With a baby on the way and carpet throughout pretty much our entire apartment, we wanted to get things refreshed as much as we could before a little one would be crawling everywhere. We initially reached out to several carpet cleaning companies to get some estimates for the work, and Adolfo's estimate was the highest of the bunch, though he did mention that he did a lot of work on Alameda and seemed familiar with our sort of unit (upstairs of an older Victorian duplex) and what the work would likely entail, stairs and all. Given how much higher the estimate was, we had initially decided to go with another company. Big mistake! The day the other company was to show up, we got multiple calls only a few minutes before the service window each time to let us know they were running late and kept pushing out the time estimate. So it was after 3pm when this other company finally showed up for what was supposed to be a 9am appointment. We were cleaning the apartment half at a time, so had moved all the furniture into one half to make sure we really cleaned every bit, which meant living in a bit of chaos at home during all this. When this other company did finally show up, this younger guy came in and started surveying the work area. "Ohh, you guys are upstairs?" (Yes, we told you that on the initial call) "Ok, well that's going to be extra, our equipment is really heavy." "Ohh, this small alcove area is going to count as an additional room. And this living room is big, it's a lot of carpet." (Yes, we told you the whole apartment is carpet, it's probably around 1000sf.) They had given an estimate of $150-200 for the whole apartment when we called and scheduled, now they wanted $750 just for half! So we said, no, I'm sorry, kindly leave. We'll live with the chaos, and that's when I knew, ok, we've got to call this Adolfo guy. All his reviews are top notch and even though his price was higher, it's ultimately going to be less than what these other companies are going to try and put us through the wringer for, and I just got good vibes from him, for lack of a better phrase. My theory is that these companies know you're in a vulnerable position, having uprooted and rearranged your place so they can clean, so they think they have you over a barrel and can charge exorbitantly more. Well, not Adolfo. I called and he said he was on vacation with his family (a real human being!) and couldn't get there for about a week, but the additional week of chaos in the apartment was totally worth the wait. It took him about 2 hours to do the front half and then when we were ready, he came back a few weeks later to do the second half. That big wine stain leftover from that one party years ago? That spot where the cat puked? The hallway that just gets so much wear and tear? All gone and completely refreshed. Seriously, I'm just completely impressed with how much better it looks in here now. I only wish I would've taken some before and after photos (and that I would've just gone with you up front!) Adolfo - you are seriously the best in the business around here! And I hope this review will save someone else the headache that we went through. Don't bother looking elsewhere, this is your guy right here. I don't know if we'll be in this apartment long enough to need your services again, but if we are, I sure hope you're still around when that time comes. We got Adolfo's name from a well known long time local realtor who has used Clean It for many of her sales. Adolfo came over as promised and did a fabulous job on our carpeting which really needed cleaning after years of neglect. We purchased our own carpet cleaning machine and have used it for years. A sales representative at a local carpet store mentioned that home carpet cleaner machines just can't clean as well as a professional. Boy, was he right. Stains gone, dark worn heavy traffic areas look great. Carpeting looks great again! DIY carpet cleaning is a lot of work. And it really doesn't do a very good job. We ought to get rid of our machine.
