I called Supraclean for a rushed estimate on our master bed/bath as there was a musty smell. I inquired on Sat for a Sunday estimate -- my floor tile guy was scheduled in a couple days and my family and I were moving in right after that -- no wiggle room time-wise. Sterling and Leonard were kind enough to come to Sonoma County on short notice for a FREE estimate! Sterling is a seasoned pro, and Leonard knows his stuff, too... L went under house in crawl space, then under house outside to view a new vapor barrier I had had installed and to check for possible water damage. Sterling used a device to test the moisture in exposed subfloor, and used other tools to determine a favorable outcome for us: there was no cause for alarm, no actively growing molds, the natural adobe earth often caused that musty smell, etc. He suggested I replace the carpet to help get rid of musty odor, and a couple days later they sent an estimate on using equipment to dehumidify, sanitize, etc. If we had had more time before the tile guy started, we would've hired them, but instead, since there was no health concern, we did some sanitizing ourselves and air filtering, and have made peace with the musty odor, always keeping a window open. I tipped them for their rushed response, for demystifying the musty odor, and for giving us peace of mind re: no harmful molds being present. Nice people, too. I read a few other reviews here for these guys and didn't realize they also do regular carpet cleaning. It may not be worth it for them to come this far just for carpet, but next time we need our rugs done, I'll see if they'll come out. read more

Sterling was incredible and this company deserves nothing less than 10-stars out of 5. We had initially tried to get SupraClean from the Bay Area location but was routed to the San Pablo SupraClean (this page) and I reached out and Sterling literally came out to us the next day and got a quote turned around in less than 24 hours. Compare this with another company on Yelp that strung me along (another 5-star reviewed mold remediation company) and still hasn't gotten back to me after they came out and never got a quote to me until I begged for one. Highly recommend this company and Sterling is just a fantastic individual. Straight to the point - quick and efficient and absolutely deserves a bonus check ASAP. All the individuals who came out on the job were professional, courteous and communicative. Cannot recommend them enough - this is as professional as it gets!! They don't have many reviews since most of their jobs are insurance claims - which makes sense now but they are the East Bay's hidden secret for all things needing restoration in your home. read more

I had a terrible experience with these guys. My wife had made an appointment with them, and the plan was the family would be out for the day while I got rug cleaning done. 2 guys were supposed to show up at 10:30 am for cleaning my rugs. I politely waited and when they didn't show up by 11:30 I called. I was told they were down the road. One guy shows up a few minutes later. He walked around for 2 minutes - I show him the rug and he says he has only some organic solution, and he needs to get some pro gel solution from their Warehouse in Fremont for the kind of rug that we have. Says he'll be back in 30 minutes, and that the other colleague of his would be able to join him as well by that time. "And we'll get the whole thing done - with the appropriate solution for the rug." He double checked my phone number before he left in case he needed to call. They didn't show up in 30 min as he had said. And no call. I figured they may be having lunch , so I politely waited and then called them around 1pm. No answer. So i left a message. Waited half an hour. No call back. I then looked up their website where I found another number to call. The person (Mike) answering that number told me that he would call that guy and get back to me. Then he called me to let me know that he also couldn't get through to him, but will try later. Later he called me back and let me know that the other guy seemed uncomfortable about the job. I asked why - all he had done was seen our rug and left to get the solution. He said he didn't know. Then I got a call back from the other guy at 2pm saying that they were out of the solution and their secretary was supposed to inform me. As far as I'm concerned, this was complete BS. I had wasted 3.5 hours waiting for these guys to show up, and then they make a lame excuse of being out of a cleaning solution, while being a cleaning company, after having me wait for hours. When I told him that, he rudely hung up on me (this call lasted 58 seconds, I kid you not). They hadn't even bothered returning my call till I found a way of getting through to Mike. My guess is that their previous job ran late, and they were probably on to another job. Who knows. But to keep me waiting after having told me they'll be back, with no call, is inexcusable. It seems they really take customers for granted and are completely unprofessional. I was shocked at this. What's more confusing is that there is one website (www.mysupraclean.com) which has 2 numbers listed which are apparently 2 different proprietorships run by 2 different people with the same company name, one in San Pablo and one in San Jose. Mike (408 number) runs the San Jose company and I got good vibes and responsiveness from him, and Sterling August (415 number) runs the San Pablo company which destroyed my saturday. Sterling August is the man! Seriously. My assistant knew Sterling when he was independent before he became associated with SupraClean. She was dog sitting for a dog who did her business ALL OVER her bedroom. Sterling was responsive and came the same day to clean it up and the spots never resurfaced, as they sometimes do. Another friend had a dog who had surgery and during the night the dog's wounds started leaking and she ended up with blood all over her carpet. Sterling to the rescue yet again. I have a new dog who has had many accidents on my very expensive carpet which was only a few months old. A decorator referred me to "the best carpet guy in Marin." I called him and asked him if I should have him come right away or would it be okay to wait awhile until the dog is fully house trained. He said, "Oh, no problem to wait -- just give me a call when you're ready." So i waited a couple of months and then had him come out. He was totally unprofessional, talked incessantly and even laid down on the floor in my office where I was trying to work, and played with the dog! Worse, he was unsuccessful in removing the urine stains. But this isn't about him. I then called Sterling who went way above and beyond the call of duty in attempting to remove these stains which were now "set" both due to leaving them for a period of time (bad advice it turns out) AND that the "best carpet guy in Marin" had used a product which caused them to bind to the carpet and there was literally nothing that could remove them. I paid Sterling for the initial visit where he cleaned several rooms plus a couch. Then when it appeared that the stains in the bedroom were not coming out, he came back countless times, tried innumerable products, even took a remnant back to his shop to experiment with different products. Unfortunately, all to no avail. To his credit, Sterling took this project on as a personal challenge and even bought products that they didn't have in stock in his efforts to remove these stains. never once did he even hint that he would like to be paid for the additional time and money he put into this project. He gave us instructions for how to immediately treat urine stains (club soda!) and advised getting a carpet cleaner out as soon as possible after an "accident." I'm not sure about Sterling's association with SupraClean and how that came about and how it might change his customer service (let's hope not at all), but my personal experience of him is that he is not only a man of integrity, but really knows his stuff when it comes to cleaning carpet.
