I have been going to Clays for years, as it is the only place around that carries some brands I like. Most of the women that work there are pretty nice, but there is one woman that works there who thinks she is doing her customers a favor by being snooty and condescending. (She may be the owner, she certainly acts like it). I walk out now if she's in there.
The reason that I will no longer buy my clothes there is that a couple of weeks ago, I bought jeans there for $110. They were a little tight, but the sales lady told me that they looked great and promised me that they would relax with wearing. She told me that this was the size I wanted, no larger, and I bought them, as I thought these folks know their clothes and are very professional. I wore them for about seven very uncomfortable hours, with no sign of stretching! I brought them back, explaining my predicament and unsatisfaction. I had all the tags, sales slips, even the bag, and I was told that they would not take returns on clothes that had been worn. It is their policy, but this policy is unfair if there is a promise of satisfaction on a garment that must be worn to fit properly. So there's a fine catch-22. I feel very unhappy, used, taken advantage of, sad, and I will sadly no longer shop at Clays. read more
