Chicken boneless gobi gosht

Group of us stopped in for lunch. The food was very good. Seasoned nicely with just right amount of heat. Some of the best beef samosas and sauces. The servicer was nice, but service is slow. The restaurant was pretty empty only two other tables with us. The server was taken care of the restaurant and they have a drive thru for take out orders which she appeared to be working as well. She also was not very versed on the food. We had a few questions as none of us are Indian food specialists and she was not able to provide any insight. Advised us she does not make the food. Loved the presentation of the food coming out in the clay pots! Just a tip ask for a little saucer or something put your food on. The food was piping hot, even the sauces and broth were boiling and the pots kept the food that way the entire time making it very difficult to eat. We ended up using the lid from the pot to put our food in to eat. Good food for sure, but very pricey. For the four of us it was a 200 lunch bill..no drinks!!

Knick knacks galore adorn the restaurant

Went with a group of friends and we were treated like family by our gracious hosts. The food was amazing. Everything was delicious.

Dhaka Chicken (top left) Roghni Naan (without butter, bottom right) Goat Mutton Achari Gosht - A wooden dining table features Indian food items such as naan bread, two small bowls of green and white chutneys, a clay pot with a wooden pestle, and a plate of fried chicken garnished with herbs and a lime. There are additional plates and utensils visible, indicating a shared meal setting. The food presentation emphasizes traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisine.

This was my second time here and they are phenomenal. Every-time we crave Pakistani food we think about driving all the way up to here just because how phenomenal the food is. They will adjust the level of spice and butter which is nice. The owners are nice and the food is well-cooked and tender. The place ambience looks very authentic and they also sell clay pots at the back that we purchased and are super cute.

The Pakistani cuisine is all served in clay pots. Clay pots are naturally non-stick, avoiding the need to add oil or butter while cooking. The pots are also good at locking in moisture and flavor. The halal menu is all prepared according to Islamic dietary laws. Menu is so large, you are literally given a book to choose from. Appreciate the thorough description of each item. The options had a lot of Indian influence, but definitely more unique and authentic Bengali or Pakistani foods too. I ordered a pink tea, which was a creamy pink chai with sliced almonds in it. The rest of us got canned soda. For an appetizer we had aloo paratha, an unleavened bread with thin layer of mashed potato in the middle. We split a chicken corn soup, which had a thick stew like broth. For the main course we had garlic naan, goat biryani, chicken nihari, seekh kabob, and chicken boneless handi. It came with a white rice seasoned with star anise. The chicken handi came out still boiling. And the goat (which kids were unaware was goat) was liked by all. We ordered a few desserts.... rice pudding, ras malai (cottage cheese boiled in sugar water and served with thickened milk), and Kulfa Falooda (a frozen milkshakeish texture with what I believe were frozen bananas and fruit sauce). The restaurant itself is unique in that it has a drive through option. Unlikely due to fast food, more for easy pickups. While not fast food, it does get prepared fairly quickly....it was out in 10-15 minutes. In summer there is a patio. And there is a parking lot in the back. Seemingly a family run restaurant. The woman was very friendly and gave our youngest daughter a big hug when she shared she was giving them a good review! And it was a good review overall. Believe it or not, the dessert was our least favorite part of the night. I'd recommend it based on food....but price is a deterrent. It was one of our most expensive family dinners with half dishes ranging $20-$30, soup at $14, cans of soda at $4 each, small desserts at $10.

I tried their karahi, and it was quite good, so I decided to give their biryani a try as well. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find a hair in the biryani, which completely ruined the experience. It's really upsetting when basic hygiene isn't maintained, especially when the food otherwise has potential. This incident has made me hesitant to order from here again. Also it's really overpriced

Food, Ambiance and the Service at the Clay Handi has no match to any other restaurant in Buffalo. Had dinners and lunch with family & Friends and never got disappointed. 5 Stars and additional 2 stars for the amazing owners of the place.

Boneless chicken handi

Finally went to Clay Handi as promised! My friend Beth had the chicken burger with fries. I had the boneless chicken handi and it came with rice. I also ordered the keema paratha which is like bread stuffed with a meat and spices. For dessert I also had gulab jamun! So so good! We also had the strawberry shake which us addicting. So without further a do, let's get into the overall review! Going in its kind of dark which I don't mind and there are beautiful traditional pieces on the walls, beautiful clay plates and silverware plated on each table along with a handkerchief cloth to wipe your mouth. The tables had some type of cloth inside it was cool. Forgot to add you can immediately smell the aroma of spices and wonderful food when you walk in and it's more quiet here so please don't ruin the peace with loud talking! The staff was very kind and understanding and I feel bad to keep asking the 1 guy more questions and stuff I know he needed to eat. With this being said I can infer there aren't many staff. So..yeah. The Keema paratha was good. But what made it so good was the spices inside and the meat. The chicken burger that my friend Beth had oh my gosh! I tried it and when I tell u it was bangin' it really was! It was juicy and packed full of flavor! Mwah! it was so good I decided to order one to go to take home. The chicken handi came boiling in the pot! I was very excited for it and it came with a bigger bowl of rice to enjoy it with. When we finally took off the lid we wasted no time and dug in! The chicken + the sauce was spicy but not unbearably spicy. It paired well with the rice ad well to neutral it out as well as with the yummy strawberry shake we had. Beth and I thought the shake was gonna survive but we were dead wrong. We ended up ordering another one lol and that we didn't save it for later! Hehe Lastly on the gulab jamun there were 3 pieces. The syrup was alot as usual yk so after we ate the gulab jamun we couldn't down the syrup but by that time anyway we were full and I just felt lazy yk. It also had almonds in it and I'd never seen that before with gulab jamun. Prices reasonable as well

excellent environment very clean place. Food quality was too good. Service was great. Would love to go again.

Front of menu. - The menu displays intricate, colorful artwork with peacocks, flowers, and geometric patterns, reflecting cultural heritage. It includes the restaurant's name, description, Halal certification, and contact information, with a QR code for online access. The background shows a patterned table surface.

If this was just based on my food experience, it would have been 5 stats; but, I felt I needed to include everyone in my group of four adults. We ordered Paneer Pakora, Garlic Naan, Beef Biryani, Veggie Biryani, Goat Handi, Tandoori Tea & Pink Tea. All the food came out piping hot, the way I like it! Every entree we ordered came with a lot of rice. The Paneer Pakora was a battered deep fried Indian cottage cheese. The batter was well seasoned and tasty; the cheese didn't have a whole lot of flavor, so it went well with the batter. The garlic naan was fresh and delicious... I could have just eaten that for my whole meal haha. My brother enjoyed the beef biryani, which he got spicy; good flavor, tender and not too hot. My mom got the mild veggie biryani. She requested it without potatoes. She was disappointed to find the only other veggies appeared to be a frozen mixed blend of green beans, carrots, peas & corn rather than fresh vegetables. My dad and I had the goat handi at medium spice. The meat was tender and flavorful with a nice heat. I never had goat before and it was a bit bonier than other meats, but the meat fell right off so no issues there. I also ordered the pink tea... It was lightly sweet and had slivered almonds in it... At least I think that's what it was. It was tasty. My dad enjoyed the tandoori tea. I will be back to try some more items from the menu and maybe some time just to try desserts! Some things to note: the service is a bit slower than American style restaurants, so put down your phones (except to take food pics of course) and enjoy your company. Also, the bathroom has a rinse pot I guess I call it, for after you go (they also have tp) so the floor may be a little bit wet if people who use it are messy with it.

This was my first time at a sit-down Indian restaurant. I've only had take out before. It was a…read moresplendid time. Not only was the food so flavorful and delicious, the service was amazing. We enjoyed the restaurant's eclectic music throughout the meal, and it had a cool beer menu as well (with some beers imported directly from India). This is a strong family-owned business, and you can tell they truly care and are proud of what they serve to you. I will say, walking in on a Saturday night, the place was dead. But as we sat, loads of people stopped in to grab take out. I encourage those who read this to dine in! Not only will you avoid a delivery fee, but you'll get a chance to take in one of the more unique and chill vibes of a restaurant I've been in around Buffalo.

It's a small, nondescript place on an unlovely stretch of Sheridan Rd. in Kenmore, but don't let…read morethe exterior fool ya--this place delivers the goods in terms of food. We've done the buffet twice, and the turnover keeps it fresh and the many chutneys and spices keep the standards good. They pride themselves on non-"Americanized" versions of the food, and while I'm no expert, it seems like they take a few more chances than some of the other buffets in town. The beer and wine menu can be a little out of date, but even there, the prices and selection are good. Service has been friendly on both occasions that we've been. This one's a keeper. Has a parking lot.
