Was quoted for a few repairs which made sense for my vehicles age. I bought the truck due to the repairs being small. Wanted just peace of mind so I took it to TWO other shop for full inspections and was quoted for almost double the amount of work. Both shops quoted the same thing, not upselling. I took it back to McKell to get a few things done that fit within my schedule. I was scheduled at 12:00pm on a Wednesday to do some repairs. I dropped it off and waited until around 3:30 with no update. Went back to McKell to get an update and they havent even started working on it. I did not drop it off at 3:30 lol that's funny, owner. I was told the truck wasn't going to be worked on at all by the end of the day. Why schedule an appointment for me if you're not even going to work on it and waste my time. Owner tried to twist the story of my google review. McKell is not trustworthy.

I had new tires put on my vehicle and was told I needed an alignment. I was also told recently that I needed my rear differential fluid changed because of the mileage on my car. I brought my car in for both of those things today and expected to pay for that. Turns out my alignment was perfect and my fluid was clear and fine. I ended up only paying for the time to take a look at it...when anyone could have charged me full price! ALWAYS go here!! I've had a few times when they have saved me hundreds!! Such a great business

After performing work on your vehicle, they will reach out and make sure that everything is still going OK and that you were happy with their service. While they are working on your vehicle, they will stay in frequent contact with you and send you a report on what they found before you pick the car up so you know what to expect. I have found their prices to be very fair, and they have even suggested at times that I get my work done that I needed through insurance as it would probably be cheaper for me, and I appreciate their honesty. My youngest son and…read morehis wife are moving cross country and asked where they should go to have their Subaru "trip inspected". I immediately said Dustin at McAuto. They took their car in and Dustin found that the drivers side rear break needed replacement. He did it at a reasonable price. They also asked him to take a look at the drivers front head lamp and panel (it's been loose). He took off the front tire to access (and this is where the problem starts). When the tire was replaced the lug nuts weren't tightened (at least after a few hours driving and hearing loud noises from the front end, my son was able to tighten them by hand. We took the car into a Subaru shop in grand junction (after being stuck there over night) and was told that the noise came from not tightening the lugs. After paying them to figure this out, I called Dustin to find out what the heck happened. Needless to say I wasn't happy because if the tire had come loose (it was that bad after the mechanic in Grand Junction got it up on a rack) it would have killed my son and his wife. Dustin said it wasn't his fault and hung up on me. So if you're looking for a mechanic my advice is to keep looking. Nothing to see here.
