Second time here! The service was great! We ordered the 3 lb shrimp! Cajun, Lemmon pepper, and Butter! Kids loved the already peeled shrimp! Omg our new favorite place!!! It was our first time here and will definitely be back!We usually go to the boiling crab but it's just too far and the wait is ridiculous! Our server Amy was such a sweet heart and super friendly and informative! We got the 3lb combo which comes with 2 appetizers so we got the Cajun chicken rolls and wings both were super yummy. We got shrimp and mussels..... shrimp was really good and pretty big however the mussels were a little on the small side!! There soda machine was out so all they had was teas strawberry lemonade and alcohol! Strawberry lemonade was good but something bubblie would of been good with seafood! The restaurant is clean but definitely a little small for large groups! A large party came in and they were split up into 2 different tables across from each other causing them to scream back and forth at each other which was a little annoying! Oh my gosh, Claws how we've missed you! My boyfriend and I were so heart broken (okay, maybe I'm being a little dramatic) when we found out the GG location burned down, but thank goodness the Cerritos location opened up 2 weeks later! The staff at this location is basically the same staff that was at the Garden Grove location, the service is the same, great! All staff members are friendly and welcoming and always make sure you have what you want/need. If you're a first timer I recommend the peeled shrimp, peeled, Cajun. Ask for it spicy if you like spicy foods. The Cajun fries are delicious to pair with. Every time we come here we order a michelada. It continues to be the one of the best we've had, even better than most Mexican restaurants. read more

I came here with my family to celebrate my uncle's birthday. We brought a cake with us and they didn't tell us until after we finished eating that we had to pay $1 each person who was eating the cake. That's completely ridiculous. Who does that? Even at 5 star restaurants, never have I experienced a corkage fee for a birthday cake. Way to ruin my uncle's birthday. Also, our server kept forgetting our order and we had to remind her like 3 times of items we ordered. And the hostess kept looking at us like we were going to eat the cake behind her back. I've been waiting for this place to open for a long time and finally went today! The place is kind of small but it is very clean and has a fun environment! The shrimp is big and juicy. The cannonball flavor is delicious and the corn is very buttery. I'm glad there's a Cajun seafood place much closer now so I no longer have to drive all the way to boiling crab. The wait is no where near as long (usually 15-20, or 45 on a busy night). Patrons of the old Garden Grove location (R.I.P) should be happy to know that the food at the new Cerritos location is on point. Our party of 4 devoured 2 lb live crawfish, 2 lb shrimp head-on, 1 lb mussels, corn, sausage, loaded carne asada fries and the freshly baked baguette (never thought bread could be this good). We walked in on a Tuesday night around 9pm and were promptly seated. The food came out in about 10 minutes. During our meal all the servers here were very attentive. They refilled our drinks before we even had a chance to ask, and several servers came by to ask how the food was...spoiler alert - it was awesome. The garlic butter sauce was well balanced and was perfect for dipping the bread. If you're a seafood fan do yourself a favor and give Claws a try. I'll definitely be back. read more

One of my good friends & I had the insanely immense pleasure of eating here last Friday night. I ordered the 4lbs. Of under the sea which comes with fresh crayfish, shrimp, clams, & mussels. It was outstanding. They have this garlic butter sauce that is amazing. They even even have little plastic containers to hold the limes in. We are definitely going back. Hopefully it stays our little spot. Also, shout out to Dennis. He was sweet, cute, attentive, & just generally made sure we were taken care of. Best customer service. I was craving some carne asada fries and sadly Cerritos doesn't have a fast food Mexican restaurant close by. My cousin ended up telling me about Claws having some bomb loaded fries. We got it to go and they were spectacular!! The fries were seasoned and so crispy! The sauce just made it so savory! I would definitely recommend it. I do have an issue that it was $15 dollars which to me was very pricey for loaded fries. Also it's loaded with garlic! I'm a garlic lover! The restaurant did not earn 5 stars because a member of our party asked to substitute her Cajun French fries for garlic French fries and was not allowed to do so. Even when she explained that she would pay an up charge for the substitution, the request was still not granted. I go to claws because boiling crab is too far. I have been going here for a while now and it has been good until today. I got 1 lb of kind crab legs,which i have gotten before, but this time they were over cooked and and chewy. I don't usually like to complain because I am too in the service industry and i feel for the servers. But because i was paying $32 for 2 crab legs i brought it to my servers attention. She then brought the manager to me i told her how i felt and she states "I'm sorry, i can assure you they aren't over cooked, we have a set time for 6 minutes every time. Therefore i can not help you out" i ate half of 1 crab leg and left the rest there. It's sad she got promoted to manager because she isn't manager quality. She didn't give me her name either so i cannot put it in the review but i did go above her and complained to the owner. And he said he would take care of it. Hopefully he does because the service is good but i won't be going back there just because of her. I wrote on the bill when received that i wouldn't be paying for the crab legs so i was short $32. She then ran out to me at my car and tried to take pictures of my car and said she would call the police. My shrimps were cooked perfectly and the crawfish was surprisingly bigger than I expected. Flavor was on point. It's pretty comparable to Boiling Crab, maybe even better? I think the little plastic containers the limes come in are a little weird and they gave a lot. Don't wanna be wasteful ya know. A lot of the workers are in training, but they do there best to make sure they check up on you every so often and get you what you need. NEVER GOING AGAIN! I used to like their crab alot. I went in pretty much weekly and used to twice a week. I havent been in for at least 3 wks though because last time i went the crab was TERRIBLE. I drive 45 mins to get there bc im a loyal customer and my mom lives nearby. Anyways, I wanted to go in today so I called to ask if i could return my order to get something else their crab was bad like it was last time (i wanted two pounds and dont wanna be stuck payin $40 for unfresh crab) and they told me no! The waitress ddnt even respond when i asked to speak w the manager then the manger HUNGUP ON ME! My dad spent hundreds before in one visit at their old location. I spend hundreds a month there. But ill no longer be going for their continuous rude service. Food is good (until recently) but their attitudes and how they handle things has always been shit! Ill also be letting all my family know who lives down the street to no longer give them their money. Its sad it came to this all bc i asked if i could return a meal IF it came out bad like recently. Got a three pound deal and picked all shrimp with mild sauce. Shrimps were huge and sauce was a nice blend of sweet, salty and a bit of kick to it. Got sweet potato fries, which were great and fried okra that was pretty good. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh. Nice touch with the hand washing sink in the hallway so you don't have to go into the bathroom to wash up. Also, very cool that you can get plastic gloves from them to help cut down the mess on your hands, since they've got your clothes covered with the plastic bibs. read more
