We both got a Signature Pedicure, and the pricing was right in line with what other local nail spas are charging. Both of our estheticians were very good and did a detailed job. They were friendly and courteous, and again we were impressed with how quiet it was; just a little background music playing. I would recommend this business to those in need of nail services in the Wesley Chapel/Lutz/ Land O' Lakes area.

However, by Sunday night, the polish had completely come off one of my toes. I called the salon Monday morning to let them know, and instead of simply helping, the person who answered questioned whether I had even been there. He insisted I must have had the wrong salon until he looked up my phone number and confirmed my visit. He then asked who did my pedicure, and when I said I didn't know the technician's name but that it was a man, he argued that there wasn't an older man working that day. Eventually, he agreed to let me come in for a free repair. When I arrived, one employee told me to find the matching polish myself. After I selected what I believed was the correct shade and explained that my original color was sage, she insisted I was wrong, claimed it was gel, and handed me a completely different color that didn't match at all. Thankfully, another employee stepped in, immediately recognized the color I had originally chosen, and fixed my toe correctly. Even then, the first employee refused to acknowledge her mistake and acted as though it was somehow my fault. Mistakes happen, and I understand that polish can chip or peel unexpectedly. What I can't overlook is the way I was treated when I came back for a simple fix. Being questioned, dismissed, and blamed as a returning customer was frustrating and unprofessional. Before I even had a chance to soak my feet, the technician wanted to begin the pedicure. Instead of properly soaking off my no-chip/gel polish, an electric file was used to remove it, and the e-file was also used around my cuticles. Which if you have gone to nail shops and experienced them cutting you that is why we don't use them around our cuticles. The biggest disappointment was the lack of attention to callus removal and exfoliation. The pumice was used for only a few seconds, and most of the remaining foot care consisted of rinsing or washing my feet with water. Skipping the initial soak, barely scrubbing, and relying on fast machine shortcuts completely misses the point. They did such an incomplete job on the exfoliation that I ended up having to scrub my own feet. I am a licensed nail technician, and I occasionally get pedicures at different salons specifically so I can evaluate the quality of the service and whether proper pedicure procedures are being followed. To top it all off, the business charges consumers for their own credit card processing fees at checkout 3%. If you want a detailed pedicure that actually focuses on callus removal and proper care rather than quick shortcuts and the extra processing CC fee, I would look elsewhere.
