Take a look at the other reviews and you'll see I would call and ask if the A/C is operational. The manager will try and tell you it's the lights that's causing the heat and so many people inside but that's a falsity. Price wise it's reasonable in comparison to other kids locations. But invest in your business with air conditioning. Me and my family have been at places like this on other states and regardless of the heat outside if your AC unit is working it's cool inside. This made for a quick trip.

Neon Retro Arcade is an Old Town/Old Pasadena must…read more It's a kid friendly hub, but just as fun for adults if not more. Open daily from Noon til 10pm, 7 days a week. Everything is set to free play with a paid admission fee. You can do hourly pay or a set price for all day play. There's probably about 60 different arcade style games ranging in many decades including 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s favorites. Pinball, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Marvel Vs Capcom (my jam), Super Smash Bros, Basketball Pro, Pac Man, NFL Blitz, Rampage (arcade game of my youth), Donkey Kong, Tron, The Simpsons and so many others. Soft drinks, great lighting, a spacious layout. Neon Retro offers cool holiday deals and specials, hosts fun events, IG giveaways and keeps the fun going all year long. It's still only $15 for unlimited hourly play or $25 for a day pass. No food is served here other than snacks (think chips and candy), but so many places closeby to eat before or after your Neon Retro Arcade fun!! It's not a barcade like EightyTwo or Player One so it's alcohol free. They're all welcoming and very personable. I do know they have a capacity limit and weekend tend to be the busiest until around 4 or 5 pm. Nights and weekends are definitely lower in foot traffic, but still great energy. I don't make it over too often, but highly recommend experiencing once or thrice. They just had a cool 50% off hourly prices for Bonus Level Loyalty Club members, and yes it's free to be a member :) Local street (meter), paid lot and garage parking available. Gender-neutral restrooms. Great for groups or just you.

The prices are very reasonable as well. The inside is clean and the bathroom. They are cool with letting you bring boba in which is cool because they have two boba places in the same plaza. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that the waitstaff here is absolutely amazing. They work…read morehard, provide great service, and are always a highlight of visiting. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The management is awful, and the lane maintenance is completely subpar. Between my son and I, we have had multiple bowling balls severely damaged by these lanes. One of my balls has suffered damage so extensive that it required a full resurface on four different occasions. Even worse, both of us have brought in brand-new balls, only to have them gouged and damaged on day one of hitting the lanes. Whenever an incident happens, they will address the immediate mechanical issue, but they completely neglect to maintain the lanes to prevent it from happening again. It has become such a frustrating cycle that I actually dropped out of my league. I refuse to pay their high prices just to risk destroying my equipment week after week. Through all of this, management has never once reached out to apologize or rectify the situation. I know it's become such a widespread issue that they recently started fixing ball damage in-house, but frankly, I'd much rather pay out of pocket to take my gear to my trusted pro shop so I know the repairs are done correctly. If you care about your bowling equipment, I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

This trip was the antithesis of our past endeavors! Everyone won! Multiple times! And it was no less exciting. Our kids ranged in age from 5-11 years and they all had a blast. The employee who helped us was Robert. He really is what made our trip special. He helped us get started and would even help set the kids up to ensure a win when needed. He was so kind and attentive. The place was pretty busy but he seemed to be able to see everything that was going on and made sure every guest was having a good time. It was such a strange feeling to be somewhere that you can simply have fun at and not spend a ton of money with nothing to show for it. It was like being back at the malls in the 80s. It wasn't overstimulating, the pricing structure was fair, the prizes were great quality, and the attending worker was so sweet and not burnt out. We left feeling really satisfied and excited to return. We didn't feel defeated or swindled. We just truly had such a fun time. And honestly all thanks to Robert. He wanted us to win as much as we did. Claw Daddy is lucky to have someone like him there. The kids felt comfortable asking him for help and he was so warm and kind. I can't wait to go back. There were so many activities to choose from, and the axe throwing was an absolute blast. We purchased the all-inclusive package, which was definitely worth it. After axe throwing and laser tag, though, it became so hot inside that we ended up leaving before we could enjoy the arcade games. The only suggestion I have would be to turn up the air conditioning, especially during the summer months. With all the active attractions, keeping the building cooler would make the experience even better and encourage families to stay longer. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The manager went above and beyond with what I would call 150% customer service, making us feel genuine memories!y appreciated from start to finish. Despite it being very slow when I went, the employees were sitting around chatting the whole time. That's perfectly fine if there's nothing to do but the place was DIRTY! Pizza boxes sitting around from parties previous days. Restroom smelled like days old piss. Spill marks on hard floor and loose panels hanging off of games like dance dance revolution creating trip hazard. This place has lots of potential but if I were the owner, I'd step in and put the employees to work because they go to chill and do the bare minimum while the place is dirty as can be.

If they are they are doing a good job letting people win most of the time. I think there were a few machines at time I had to try 8 times and gave up because I couldn't pick up the plushie. But usually one token I get one plushie. This place is absolutely addictive but I like it over other places because you can upgrade your plushies for bigger ones at the front desk. It's such a nice treat because if we have a bunch of little ones we don't want, and a big one we do like better, it's worth it. I leave with at least one big plushie that I exchange for 8 medium plushies, and a few more medium plushies. Total I take home each trip 1 big plushie, and 3-6 medium to little plushies. Other claw machine places I feel cheated because you either have to put a bunch of coins in to play once, or the plushies aren't easy to grab. This place is not only affordable, but you put one coin for each machine for one play. It's really fair and wants you to win. The cherry on top is the plushie upgrade exchange after you're done playing. I come here at least once a month because it's really fun
