The mark up here is insane. They jumped on the Labubu bandwagon and are charging $60+ when they go for $24 at Popmart. They are now back in stock at Popmart (since the trend is dying), so you might as well go straight to the source and save yourself $40. Also, it doesn't help that the business owner constantly complains to customers about having to pay $20,000 a year for Square (the credit card system they use). And now he's adding a 20% charge to all credit card purchases. Part of running and owning a business are expenses. If you can't afford to run a business, then don't run a business! And don't complain about it ad nauseam to your paying customers. And the place has a strong fish odor because of the market next door. read more

I'm writing this with a heavy heart as a long-time fan of AVPopShop and a fellow collector. Orlando has always been incredibly welcoming and my partner and I always enjoyed browsing his unique finds. We'd even have really enjoyable conversations together at times. Unfortunately, my partner purchased a counterfeit Labubu figure a couple months ago at the shop without realizing. We were disappointed to learn later that these were counterfeit, information that wasn't disclosed at the time of purchase. We understand this might have been mentioned in an old Instagram Live, but as collectors who don't always have time to follow every live stream, a more prominent warning, such as a clear sign on the display, would have been appreciated. For collectors, it's not just about the money. It's about trust and the integrity of the collecting experience. We were hoping for a more understanding resolution, perhaps a full refund without needing to return the counterfeit item, especially since we don't live locally. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. I believe AVPopShop has the potential to be a fantastic resource for collectors, but this situation has unfortunately left a negative impression. read more

I've visited this place ever since I could remember. I always went out of my way to go to the Palmdale shopping center to get the latest pops from Av pop shop, but I can't justify shopping for collectibles here anymore. I understand the state of pokemon and other collectibles are right now, but the markup that they have is insane. I'm disappointed in what they've become by charging triple the amount for what other people online are charging. I understand supporting small businesses but when the small business takes advantage of the consumer that's where I draw the line. I hope people realize they can obtain collectibles somewhere else at a reasonable price. read more

I understand this is a small business and as a long time customer and experienced card collector over the years this small business has unbelievable high pricing and are scalping Pokémon cards to only resale them for $100-$150 over market pricing. Of course this depends on what bundle and what series you pay for but it's very unfortunate. I've had so much better luck with paying less by betting online live streams from other shops or streamers for a much better acceptable price. Also from shops in downtown LA. AVPopShop was great at the start but now they're just ripping people off and of course have favorites when it comes to close customers/friends from when I visited before. read more

Never thought I would be writing this for a local small business that my family loves to frequent. But truly disappointed in the fact that it was not displayed or acknowledged/ warned of items that aren't legit . From my blindness of excitement, I did not realize until I went back for a second one for a friend that I questioned my first purchase. I took my friends back because the item had some issues in the quality. Once I got home and looked into my labubu , that I realize it was not real ! I opened the item so I know it will not be accepted back. After coming on here and seeing the last review , I wish I had looked into more. Like previous person said we trusted and are frequent buyers. So we trusted the shop! Please, Orlando fix this mistake for these items and at least make a sign warning your customers on the items that aren't real. read more

This used to be a local small business I used to like to support for my anime needs. But recently it's gone sour. I used to trust all items were legit but recently I've noticed alot bootleg things have been added along with some poster/stickers with stolen art. I understand that some things aren't made as available. But if I wanted knock offs I know I could go online and buy them at a cheaper price. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice establishment and the people are really nice. The shop is clean, and the workers really try to help you. But before it felt more like the workers actually cared. Now it just seems like it's just another job for them to get over with, especially when you ask them a question about an anime. You can sometimes tell they're trying to make things up on the spot to seem like they know what they're talking about. And I've also noticed the owners attitude has gone sour as well. Not only is he hardly ever in is shop compared to before, sometimes during his livestreams he really has an attitude that wasn't there before. Overall, it's a good place to stop by. But I don't think I can support a business that will knowingly stock their shelves with bootleg items and use stolen art to make money. read more

I've been following them on Instagram for a month now and have been dying to come! Today I decided to stop by while I was running errands in Lancaster and I'm so happy I did! I've been collecting pops, typically the horror ones or ones from shows I like. I bought 3 today! They had a deal that was 3 funko pops for $33. I ended up only finding 2 in that section but found another one I had to have, so I didn't get the deal. Oh well though. I added 3 new pops too my collection! Definitely will be returning!! read more

Coolest shop in the AV. They have all of my 80's childhood toys, and they do a hilarious comedy show on random nights. They giveaway prizes, and my daughter got a cool White Walker sword from Game of Thrones. The owner is super nice. Basically a nerds paradise. read more

The Antelope Valleys pop shop, by far one of the most nostalgic places in Lancaster. It doesn't matter what Orlando is doing whether helping out a customer everyone gets greeted and he will make his way to you and touch bases with you see what your looking for what's coming up or if he can get stuff for you. Orlando is down to earth, kind and unfortunately like Goku over Vegeta, but that neither here nor there. The shop is awesome everyone who works there is great come on down and check them out they have something for the kid in you. read more

Popped in looking for gifts and ended up not liking this place. It smelled..."off"... and the employees were not happy to be there. We left after a few minutes--which was the amount of time it took for an employee to brush off our question--and went down to Bases Cards and Comics. We got what we needed and were treated with appreciation. I don't think I'll ever go back to AV, but I genuinely hope they change their current business practices. There are too many competitors out there for employees to treat customers like we are bothering them. read more

I spent a little over $100 on my first visit and I know I got an incredible deal on some hard to find Funko Pops. I highly recommend this store. Also, the owner, Orlando, is very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Didn't know we had any local pop shops, so when we found this nice little pop shop of course we had to go. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was very very helpful and funny, I liked his attitude a lot, he was really cool. This place is really amazing found pops I've been trying to find for a long time and found then here. The pops here are in really good condition I'm very particular about my pops having a good box no dings and the owner definitely takes care of all his products so that's definitely a big plus for me and anyone else who are collectors. Also found ones I didn't even know existed too which is awesome.
