Claudio and his team installed our multi-boiler regulated heating system in a 150+ year old house approximately 25 years ago. The job required considerable design and energy flow distribution customization. The engineering was well done, installation of the equipment neat and well organized. Today, the heating system continues to work as designed and has requiring the expected maintenance. If you need to retrofit and old building with modern equipment and custom heat flow balancing, I highly recommend Claudio Heating. He is competent and meticulous. read more

Very rare 5 Star but what can I say? I read the YELP comments and working for the City Mr Claudio was highly recommended for his honesty. Well guess what? They were not lying! Picture it, It was around 7:30 PM in January (Today) and it is starting to snow and drop cold! Well I called the "other" heating company I worked with for many years, yet I was told by the Manager: "I am at home and it will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon". Ummmm, I have an elderly mom who cannot wait until tomorrow, so I got on YELP, called some friends and again Claudio Heating was recommended since its not far from me and the guy was honest. Extremely happy I did, I love YELP, and as an Elite 11, I take it very seriously! Mr Claudio (yes the owner) was extremely fair with pricing and wasn't looking to kill me financially (mind you I just paid mortgage) and his estimate was not even close to what I thought I would be paying. I was elated and proud to say that Claudio Heating and Cooling are now the pride of my Heating Business from now on. I can't say enough on how the comments really stand up to his capabilities and honesty! This one, is for the books, YELPers take heed, this company is what is needed more of, Thank you for YELP for saving me TONS of money. Wow. read more

Claudio Heating & Cooling - One of their exceptional works. No job is too small. No job is too big. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Earlier this year, I called them because my parents' furnace was shutting off after running for only about 8 minutes. They were not patient enough to diagnose the problem but just worked to clean the flame sensor and do some vacuuming. After the furnace shut off again during the service, they started looking around and diagnosing all sorts of things wrong with the furnace. They recommended replacing the gas valve, the inducer motor, and the main fan motor. The quote for replacing these items were over $1000 total. To be fair, they sent a substitute tech out because they said the main person was sick that week. So maybe that's the problem. The substitute tech seemed to be obsessed with selling a new furnace to me instead of pinpointing where the actual problem was. Thankfully, I did some online research and got my multimeter to trace where the voltage was breaking (which would cut off the gas suddenly). Then I saw, at the switch where the voltage broke, the flue collector plate was completely cracked. (The tech completely missed this and told me to replace all sorts of other irrelevant things, or to buy a completely new furnace.) I got someone else to replace the plate for around $200, and the furnace works fine. Thank goodness I didn't go through with this company. read more

Turned my AC on once the technician got here, and it turns out nothing was wrong. Still charged me for the service call though. Service call charges are to stop price shopping, and should be waived if nothing is wrong within the first 15 minutes. Shady business practices. Wont be using these guys ever again. read more

Believe me when I tell you, I was a bit skeptical about the reviews on here. It's hard to believe that you'll actually find an honest repairman, almost like trying to buy a unicorn at a pet store. He was very professional and friendly. He was easy to work with and incredibly knowledgeable. I gave him my "diagnosis" of my A/C system and by them time I was done he said he knew what the problem was. We walked over and sure enough just like he said. All in all he was awesome and by the time he was done he only charged me the diagnostic fee. I highly recommend him. He won't try and tell you your system is broken and $6,000 will fix your issue. read more

Miguel, Moses and the Claudio crew are the best. Fast response and short time to service. They squeezed us right in when our a.c.was down. First, attempt to seal leak was unsuccessful and came promptly out a second time to address it. Did extensive testing to find leak, turned out to be too extensive to salvage. We ended up needing a new roof top unit and line set. Reasonable price, done fast and they credited us for the first service call out (without being asked) and did the testing as part of the overall job...no extra charge. We have had multiple other contractors out over the years trying to come up with a solution. They just put bandaids on and never really fixed. Ultimately made problem worse and ruined a brand-new unit...which lead us to Claudio. Glad to have it fixed for good. read more

From the office to their service technicians, Claudio Heating and Cooling treated me like family! They worked around my schedule and was thoughtful and considerate when I had to step out and pick up my daughter. Ray and Moises checked back with me a few days later to make sure everything was working top notch. I noticed some issues a week later and the 2 technicians worked quickly to fix the issue. I have a VERY old house with radiator steam so my highest concern was finding a company that I would be confident they know what they are doing. Moises and Ray exceeded my expectations and taught me a lot about my old house. I would highly recommend this company. I had called a number of companies (even the well-known company!) and couldn't even get an estimate to check why my radiator wasn't working. Moises came out right away! They even gave me a discount because it was off season and they are dedicated to keeping their customers happy! read more

Bill gave me a quote for a new system 2 years ago but I have been trying to hold out on replacing it. I saved his info as he was so professional and seemed very honest. I had to replace both units last week and I can't begin to tell you the incredible job that they did! I was so blown away by their professionalism and the quality of their work. It is sometimes hard to find honest and skilled contractors but this company met and exceeded all of my expectations! The owner Mr Claudio is also one of the best I have ever worked with! Thank you for an amazing job!! I will definitely recommend your company to anyone in need of service! read more

We had an incredibly positive experience with this company when repairing our air conditioner on our new condo purchase in Chicago. We had had two very disappointing consults with others that were not encouraging, honest, or, frankly, competent. From our initial enquiry with Claudio's, we were met with a positive attitude, no-bullshit discussion. Ray was prompt, very courteous, and competent beyond our expectations. His price was very reasonable, much more acceptable than the others, and HE ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED what others would not even attempt! I would not hesitate to rely upon Ray Claudio and his firm for further work if it would ever be necessary. Believe me, I sincerely recommend Claudio's. read more

Ray Claudio and his crew are fabulous. 'Nuff said, right? Allow me to elaborate. The hubs and I bought our first home last fall. Right away we had issues with our hot water heater--a valve was releasing water randomly and without warning. On a recommendation I called Ray, a little frantic and concerned, and he came right out. Turns out the valve wasn't strong enough to deal with city water pressure and that's why it was releasing water whenever it felt like it. A quick switcheroo and Ray was gone, and he didn't even charge us for parts or labor! Then, after the skies opened up and the world almost ended a few weeks ago, we ended up with 5 inches of water in our basement. The water got high enough and far enough to put out the pilot light on the tank. We relight the darn thing, problem solved, right? No. A few hours later the pilot light is out and we don't have hot water. We go through this a few more times until we've had it and in desperation for a hot shower I called Ray. He sent two guys out right away and they replaced the damaged thermal coupler. He warned me that the whole tank could be damaged and could require a complete replacement. CRAP. A few hours later, no hot water. I called Ray and he knew almost instantly what the problem was. He came out a few hours later, replaced this teeny little part--no bigger than a thumbtack--and thirty minutes later he was out of the house. And AGAIN he didn't charge me! I thought it was a joke, but he just said, "Nope, it was a simple fix for a repeat customer." Uuuuummmm....no catch? Whaaa? Additionally, he took one look at the tank (which is less than 5 years old) and said, "I can fix this." Ray saved us a few hundred dollars and a huge headache. Best of all? Three hours after he left my house I'm sitting at home, showered and happy. The man knows his stuff. I'm insanely satisfied with the service and results. A small company, but very dedicated to customer service and giving you the best work possible. I'm a formerly-frantic-but-now-satisfied customer, for sure. read more

Great small business! We bought our home a few months ago and of course within a few months BOTH AC central air units go down. We had three companies come out to do an estimate. The first charged us $200 just for the inspection (which did take a few hours and included some small parts being changed like fuses, etc) and their quote was about $3500 to change both units (one 2 ton and one 2.5 ton). The second company, a well respected company called Reeder, charged us about $85 to do the initial inspection. They also recommended changing both units and their quote was $6000. Finally, we had Claudio come out. The first jarring thing was that they did not charge to do the initial inspection. Moses, the tech, came out and spent at least 2 hours looking at the fuse boxes, the furnace, every inch of the system. He also had the same diagnosis and recommended we change the units. Claudio's quote: $4500 with both units being Trane units. This being a big job and a lot of money we had follow up questions for Claudio's. Ray Claudio, the owner, came out and patiently answered all of our questions and went through the work that would be done as well as the quote itself. Incredible customer service. I always try to find local to my neighborhood (McKinley Park) business and Claudio's was perfect. All the techs that came out to do the job were great. They answered our questions and did a great job. Ah the cold air is blasting in our home again. Thanks Claudio's! read more

Claudio's HVAC is a very professional & reliable company. The service technician Ray was excellent. He was on time & followed through. I am very pleased & would highly recommend to family & friends. Thank you! read more

I had a leak on one of my vent for my hvac. Instead of helping me do a quick and fast fix, they quoted me for a full hvac system replacement, who does that? The reason wasn't specified, other furnace was looked at for 1 min and wasn't fully tested to see if it shut down and restart properly. They charged me for $185.00, I wasn't happy at all. I called John's HVAC next and he told me the same vent was just loose and he reapply pvc pipe sealant and it was fix. Besides that John also ran through what Mose from Claudio did and only charged me $100.00 and also told me to change the whole system upstairs would onlu cost $3,000 even. He was also licensed & insured. read more

Claudio Heating & Cooling - My exhaust vent wasn't seal properly, that's all! Then I was quoted for a new hvac system? Over priced & no other options. Skip Claudio! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

It's taken me a while to write this review...I have used Claudio's 4x's and each time has been smooth and easy. No problems whatsoever. I will not EVER call 4 Seasons or worse Chicagoland Heating and Cooling (thieves) again. Ray and his team are honest, pleasant, and reliable. read more

Call for hot water tank replacement. Ray was quick and great service. He is on my prefered list.

I've used Claudio several times since I bought my house in Chicago. Found out about them from Yelp and they have always done a great job. So far I've had a switch replaced on my furnace, furnace cleaned, chimney liner installed and water heater replaced by Claudio. The boss, Ray, is a straight-forward, tell-you-like-is type of guy and he knows his craft. The hubby and I totally respect that. Prices are extremely fair, given he's running a business and has to pay his crew. I just realized I never wrote them a review when I suggested them to a friend tonight after she told me her furnace went out (just in case you are reading this C.L. lol). read more

Technican moses was very helpful explaining what was going on and assured that what thought was heading problem was not the issue. Late for appointment but that is expected with it being small business. read more

When I called to set up my appointment they answered the phone! That's already a huge plus for me. Mr. Claudio was pleasant and was able to give me a ballpark figure on the problem I was having. I ended up not needing their services but I'll be keeping them in mind if I have a problem next time. read more

Ray is the man! I have an empty apartment about to be rented with the AC out. I called late Friday evening. Claudio called me back on a Sat. Scheduled my appointment for Monday since there was no emergency. Ray showed up earlier than promised. Evaluated my AC problem quickly and ordered the parts. Came out a few days later to install. Low and behold, it was only a bad capacitor not the entire Fan Motor. They were honest enough to tell me and saved me a couple hundred dollars on the repair! They're my go-to HVAC team now. Thanks, CHC! read more

Called up Claudio's when my furnace wouldn't blow heat. They were able to fit me in the same day and arrived early! Moses the service tech was nice and knowledgable and shared with me some great tips to keep my furnace running. He diagnosed and resolved the issue in less than 10m and recommended future maintenance should problems pop up in the future. I would definitely recommend them for your heating and cooling needs! read more

Quick and fast. There was some confusion at the end regarding the original quoted price. That was corrected.

Ray moved mountains for me and my family! Not only is he an expert but he can deliver as promised and the price?!? Don't call anyone until you call Ray. Or be silly like I was and figure it out late. I just saw first hand how you run a successful business, fantastic customer service! They have a customer for life. read more

I have used Claudio Heating and Cooling for many years and call on them for my own home and relied on them when I was managing multi-unit buildings. I always can reach them in an emergency and they are prompt, courteous and know their business. Recently, Ray was able to troubleshoot a problem with my boiler and first explained what to do prior to coming out and then fixed the problem and was able to salvage an important pump after it was damaged - which saved time and money and got the heat back on in the midst of a cold spell. read more

I never leave reviews & i take customer service really serious when spending my money, so Claudio's deserves a great review. Literally perfect from start to finish. I needed an HVAC pro asap because i'm in the closing process on a condo & a possible red flag popped up with the HVAC system. I needed to find out what it was so I could possibly back out of the contract. When everyone else needed 1-4 weeks, Claudio's sent someone out the next day. $100 for the diagnostic charge, came out and quickly diagnosed the issue, which happened to be very small, but still, fixed it for no extra charge. I will 100% be using Claudio's if I have any HVAC needs in the future as I purchase my home. read more

I was unhappy with the BIG heating & cooling service I'd been using. When I needed a new furnace, I shopped around for a better price and better service. Claudio's was recommended. They charged about half of the BIG company price. Ray came out quickly, and did the job well. He answered all my questions, and Bill in the office made sure I filed for the state energy rebate. They are my new HVAC folks. read more

They came out very quickly and when they said they would. Moses was very pleasant and just let me know that the air filter was dirty and charged a reasonable price. Definitely would call them again. read more

Claudio Heating & Cooling installed air conditioning in our older house in Beverly. We had radiators, so installation was complex, but these professionals did an absolutely superb job. The work was done quickly, and on time, and for a good price. We are more than pleased with the work and heartily recommend them for any job! We worked with a guy named Ray who knew his job, and provided great advice. The installers were always on time and worked diligently. These people are the best! read more

I've used the larger services in the past, which were fine, but I'll be calling these guys from now on. My condenser went out in a stretch of hot days, and everyone else was a week or more. I called around for a faster appointment and luckily happened upon Claudio's, which got me in two days later. Repair was much less than I expected. Friendly people as well. Highly recommend. read more

Turns out, our AC gave out a few weeks ago. I called Claudio again; his guys had done such a good job again last year. Our rooftop unit had to be replaced. Claudio quickly found the right unit for us, contracted with a crane operator, and replaced it. The price was very competitive, and Claudio answered all of my questions quickly. We're happy to have the air now that we're into the 90s. read more

I called Claudio's at the recommendation of two neighbors. Ray is the owner and exceptional at what he does from the initial through the post-job follow-up phone calls. I had an emergency on Tues. eve, the A/C unit stopped working and it was already approaching hot,hot and expecting 90's on the next day, Wed. Without hesitation Ray said he could come all the way to Rogers Park/north end of Chicago near the lake and assess work needed, promising something would be done to get the A/C, if even only temporarily, working as we had out-of-towners arriving Wed. afternoon--yikes! Well, he arrived early Wed. a.m. and after the assessment, going over all our options, decided that we needed to just bite the bullet and get a brand new unit. He and his guys dropped in a whole new unit by mid-day Wed. and we are all good! It's been a long time since I've experienced such great and personable service from a company and I say, HIRE THIS COMPANY without any reservation. Thanks Ray and crew, you saved my life! read more
