I have been here several times now. I absolutely LOVE being able to walk in without an appointment and get amazing service. Color, cut, style, etc. Amy is a very skilled stylist that is efficient, knowledgeable, and intuitive.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The lady who worked on my hair was "SUNY". I came in with kinda wet hair, wanted just a trim with some layers. First her attitude was very sour. Like where is the customer service? Second when she got to tangles in my hair (cause it was wet still), instead of adding some serum or blow drying my hair a little she proceeded to RIP & TEAR her comb through my hair literally YANKING my hair till it was ripping off. I mentioned it was painful and that adding some kind of hair oil might help. She continued to ignore me and kept telling me it was happening cause my hair was wet. But wasn't doing anything to help the issue, she just continued to rip out tangles and yank my head around. I added photos beneath showing the results of my haircut when I got home! Super uneven it isn't even funny! Also I have to go pay money a second time somewhere else just to fix her mistakes!! Now my hair is way shorter then I wanted and will have to be even shorter just to fix it. I'm highly upset and will never come back here again! DO NOT COME HERE!! You will be left with pain and have to pay double to have someone else fix it.

    What I left with.

I feel bad writing a negative review, but it is what it is I guess. I went in to take my younger brother for a haircut. He has gone there for years. I wanted to have my hair dyed so I figured I'd get it done there. I've never had my hair professionally dyed before so I don't know much about it. The price said 50+. My hair is just past the shoulders, curly and brown. I showed the lady a picture of what I was hoping for. She said she didn't think she could match the gray exactly (I guess it was a black/gray hombre style). I understand that hair stylists aren't miracle workers so we agreed she would try to for the closest to gray she could get. She wanted to know if I wanted to use my natural color for the roots or if I wanted the black. I really have NO idea about hair so I told her she's the expert so what did she think? She advised me to dye my whole head gray and let the roots grow in to be the darker part. She kept asking me if I wanted a haircut and I said NO because I was trying to grow my hair out. She started the color removal process and then added the gray afterwards. My hair came out bottom half gray, top half yellow. She told me that when I came back for a touch up we could fix it. I was not going to leave with yellow and gray hair. So she said she would try again, but first she pushed again for a haircut because my ends were so bad. I said ok maybe a trim. She proceeded to THIN MY HAIR without asking and was already half way in before I realized what type of cutting she was doing. It then took her 2 more tries to get the yellow to look like the rest of the gray, with yellow tint. I was there for almost 5 hours. She charged me $205 total for hair coloring (and of course she charged me for the cut I didn't want that absolutely ruined my hair), my brothers cut and some expensive conditioner she sent me off with. She shouldn't have thinned my hair when it was clear I was already very apprehensive about the cut she pushed me into. If she didn't think she could do what I was asking to begin with, she should've told me. And she certainly shouldn't have charged me over $140 for coloring that now literally looks like a feather duster. When we called to complain she said she had already given me a $10 discount and that it did not matter what she had done, that I wouldn't have liked it. That was SO frustrating to hear because I was very gracious about my lack of expertise In this area and i wasn't even that upset about the color itself because you can only do so much. I was upset about the cut and the high price for a VERY so so color job. She made absolutely no attempt to make it right, even after our family's been a customer for years. While I was there, a gentleman was getting his hair done and he told the stylist "I JUST told you not to do that!" I don't know what's going on here, but I dont feel I was cared for, I was just sold on everything and pushed out for the next. Now I'll have to go pay someone to fix the color and theres no fixing the cut. I will just have to wait the years it takes for my hair to grow back in. You can't unthin hair. The customer service needs some SERIOUS work. Bottom line, if you're looking for anything more than a basic men's haircut, I'd go elsewhere.

I go in every 2 months or so for a trim. I ask for Amy, she cuts my hair just like the pics I show her.

On top of this the owner texted me several times from what I am assuming is her personal phone. Per the policy at this place, you have 24 hours to cancel. I work night shift 12 hours and have limited availability when I can do things. I was going to confirm until this morning I received a text message that seemed desperate to me. For a place I thought was doing well I wouldn't anticipate receiving these texts. I went online and cancelled and her is what I had written back to me. Mind you, this is the owner as well. These pictures speak for themselves.

Betty scolded me and made remarks about my body and stretch marks while I was in my most vulnerable state. She had a Trainee wax me post putting me on the spot and while being waxed, some of the wax had accidentally gotten flicked onto Betty's scrubs. She then used the trainee's hand that had just been waxing me to remove the wax from her scrub to then put the same hand back onto my private area being completely unsanitary. As a licensed esthetician I knew it was unhygienic and as a woman I was in a vulnerable position and mortified. Her after care kit consisted of bath and body works 'warm vanilla sugar' hand sanitizer that she instructed me to use to sanitize my private area. This product should NEVER be used NEAR or ON your private area and especially not on open follicles that can lead to bacteria, infection, and irritation. She also said to use Curel lotion to soothe the area after using hand sanitizer. This kit was a joke and so was her business. I paid full price for an UNLICENSED trainee to wax me while being simultaneously humiliated by this businesses owner.

I called at 12:35, 12:40, and again around 12:45 before someone finally told me the door was open. Each time I spoke with a different person and nobody seemed to know what was going on. When I finally got inside, I was told Alexandra the esthetician I was booked with was still with another client. By then it was almost 1:00 PM, 30 minutes after my scheduled appt. I ended up having to cancel one of my services because I no longer had time. Thankfully Cindy was able to squeeze me in for my brows, which I appreciated, but the esthetician (Alexandra) I was originally scheduled with finished late and then immediately took another client while I had been waiting almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. Taking the client of Cindy who was finished with my services and would've been prepped for her next had she asked the client to wait 1 more minute. For an "upscale" salon, the whole experience felt very disorganized and inconsiderate of my time. Despite a new employee or not there is no excuse for a 30 minute delay, when customers would've been charged a fee if roles were reversed. A discount or some kind of acknowledgment for the delay would have been appreciated, but I still paid full price after everything. I would not recommend. Take your money elsewhere.

She did the exact color I was looking for on an acquaintance and they had passed her number along to me. After sending photos of my hair goals, hair inspiration and current hair we set an appointment for 15 February. The morning of the appointment at 0621 she texts to cancel due to illness. I was able to rebook it with her for 5 March, but again on the morning of the appointment she canceled due to lack of childcare. So, after waiting over a month for the appointment I was cancelled twice and did not make a priority to promptly rebook. She offered to talk with a coworker that was available before, which I stated was fine with me. This may have been naïve on my part, but I did assume she would only recommend someone of the same skill level. Cindy promptly reached out after Melissa and I spoke, and offered to book me that same week. I sent the exact photos from Melissa and I's texts to Cindy. My hair goals, hair inspiration and current hair. Which had grown out more while waiting on my appointment for Melissa but manageable. Before my appointment started, and as stated in my text I confirmed I wanted my hair copper/strawberry blonde. The ends of my hair in the photos were my goal, and really, I wanted it to be brought up to my roots. Covering my natural brunette hair. The conversation went well, and there seemed to be comprehension on my color. I could care less about cost, or application to achieve the color. We didn't go into too much detail on that. After she washed the color from my hair, I realized it was a cool blonde, no where close to a warm copper/strawberry blonde. The color also did not go entirely to my roots, and you can see my natural color in places. Cindy stated I was not blonde, "It's the lighting". After some back and forth, she said my hair color wasn't achievable because I had filters on my hair. I directly asked for the color on my ends to be brought up as we spoke in person. There isn't a filter in person, and the current hair photos in our texts had no filter. We stated I wasn't seeing the color correctly and it was what I asked for. I then had to show a photo of my partner and I from that morning, where my color is completely different from the blonde she did. In fact, the blonde matched my partners hair. Only then did she say she could put copper over it and that I wasn't clear on it. Honestly, I felt defeated at this point and agreed if that was our only option, but it still didn't cover my roots or natural color. She said that's normal with foils, they don't go to "The scalp". I was at a loss at this point. The copper she put over the blonde isn't the worst, but it wasn't what I wanted. The haircut was underwhelming. I asked for face framing and layers, even provided photos but it wasn't even close. My bangs and ends were just cut straight across. I didn't go into depth about disappointment with the cut. We had already spent five hours together and the color wasn't going to be savable. She ended up curling my hair, so it wasn't till the next wash that I saw the lack of layers. Thankfully I ended up going to my normal Stylist to fix the cut, but sadly he doesn't do color and was at a loss as well. I found it incredibly unprofessional that I was still charged for the service. I do understand the time and materials, but I'm unhappy with the results. The results are too far off from what I asked for. I wouldn't recommend the salon for any service after this experience.
