Updated review: I now have 5 tattoos from classic and this shop never fails to amaze me. Bucky always gets me right. Everyone is super chill over here and welcoming. Give em a shot, you wont regret it!

I recently got my nose piercing done here and had such a great experience. I was honestly a little nervous going in, but the piercer named seleina made me feel so comfortable from the start. She was very gentle,patient, and explained everything clearly before beginning. The process was quick,clean and way less painful than I expected. Definitely recommend!

They were super helpful when I first called and when my sister and I showed up for the appointment they were quick to help us and get the idea of what we wanted. Natasha did an incredible job with her Charmed collection! I had a hard time choosing just a few charms because they were all so cute! She's not only super talented but also very sweet and professional--she helped me figure out the perfect placement for my tattoo and made the whole session enjoyable with great conversation. The tattoo turned out super clean, and I've already received so many compliments, even though I haven't even taken the second skin off yet! I can't recommend her enough--10/10. I could not recommend Classic Tattoo enough. I had come in to make an appointment to get my very first tattoo, and they were able to bring me in right then and there. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they made any anxieties I had about getting a tattoo completely vanish. I showed them that I wanted a tattoo of the quote "Keep Moving Forward" in my mom's handwriting. They explained to me the healing process, and how the wording may look over time. They made suggestions and improvements that would help with the lifelong look of the tattoo, while also still staying as true as possible to how my mom writes her letters. Bryan Black was my artist, and he did everything to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. He was incredibly kind and made the whole experience quick and painless! I adore how my tattoo came out, I couldn't be happier with it. I adored every second I spent at Classic Tattoo, and I'd recommend them to absolutely anyone! read more

First off I want to start that while this tattoo was thought out in what I wanted, the fact that I spontaneously decided to get it done while on vacation close to 400 miles from home was not. I used Yelp and this shop was the first that popped up and thank God it did. My wife and I walked in about 30 min before they closed just to ask question and Josh couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. He definitely made me feel comfortable and not at all dumb for what seemed like basic questions I was asking. I kept asking for what he thought I should do and he kept putting it back on me saying that this tattoo is mine and so while they will help me get to where I want to go, they won't make the decision. So we made a plan for me to come in the next day at opening to see if there was anyway that he could fit me in on a packed schedule. So we showed up as planned and he said that he had an artist that was willing to help me but that it would be later in the day and if I could be patient they would love to help. They would call me when they knew more accurately when they could fit me in. I came back when they called and I was introduced to my artist, Isaac, and I couldn't be more pleased that I was paired with him. He could tell I was nervous and had no problem with the fact that my go to defense mechanism for nerves was constant babble. He let me bore him with the story of why I got what I did and the miniscule details of my everyday life. He was professional and friendly. He made it feel as if I had been coming to that shop for years. Please reader if you are either a neophyte or an learned traveler of the inked arts this is the shop you want to come to. read more

This is one of the first shops I went to back in the early 2000's. I went back this week to get my son's name tattooed for a 40th birthday gift. I chose Jose Araujo after following him for a while on Insta. He does a great chrome style script that I am stoked to now have on my leg permanently. It's been forever since I got my first two tattoos so I was a bit nervous of getting this third one. I actually didn't want any tattoos on my arms cause they would be too obvious. But I had to get one to cover a burn mark on my wrist so I had no choice. And I wouldn't need it if my skin was darker. I was glad that I had a great experience at Classic Tattoo shop and everything went so smoothly. We went in on a Saturday afternoon but none of the tattoo artists were available at the moment. So we made an appointment for the next day and put in some deposit too. I showed them the flower I wanted and emailed them so they could have the drawing ready for my appointment. My tattoo artist Javier did an amazing job and my pink flower looks very bright and pretty on my fair skin. I absolutely love my fresh new ink! I followed the aftercare instructions carefully and my newly tattooed skin is healing up quite nicely at the moment! Everybody here was so nice from beginning to the end. I'd definitely come back here if I ever wanted more tattoos! read more

Great tattoos are so much more than the creation and application of art. It is the conversation and the sharing of time, creating the experience. My visit to Classic Tattoo, specifically to Bryan Black, was exactly that- an experience that I am truly grateful for and will never forget. This is our second time back for my boyfriend and I and we love getting our tattoos done here! On this visit we saw Issac and my boyfriend and I love the tattoo he did! Issac really took his time and made sure my boyfriend was comfortable and always checking to see if he's okay. The atmosphere in the shop is great as well. It's very welcoming and you can see the people that work there are like a family it's really cool how other artist were checking the tattoo out as well and bouncing ideas and tips off of one another. We were walk-ins and they took us right away. Javier was my artist and he was rad. Super nice, professional, and made the whole process a breeze! I drove almost four hours to get tattooed by Natasha, and it took me almost seven hours to get home because of traffic... And I would do it again. I'm super particular about my tattoos (which I'm sure everyone says), and I'm honestly extremely impressed with how it came out since this was my first tattoo from her. After removing the second skin, I was staring at it for a while because the ink was so evenly distributed under the skin. The line work is super clean too. I give the whole experience a 20 out of 10. The boyfriend & I were finally ready to get our 1st tattoos. I searched many shops and called and spoke to several based off reviews. This shop answered the phone every time I called, was patient when speaking to me and answering all my questions. We were lucky to get Bucky Crispin as our artist for both our tattoos, his professionalism and work was excellent!!! He made each of us feel comfortable and took time to draw out and discuss with us our tattoos before starting. My boyfriends turned out really good then it was my turn. I called the shop looking for an artist for two different tattoos. I was assisted by Mari(sp) and she was a doll. She was patient and helpful and really tried to fit me with the best artists for my needs. I had my first appointment with Bucky and he nailed it. He was extremely professional, great to chat with, the tattoo was done faster than I thought it would be, and it is gorgeous. The overall vibe of the shop is very laid back and welcoming. I have had a lot of tattoo experiences and classic tattoo was definitely one of the best! Walked in and right away was greeted by the shop helper, didn't catch his name but man he was on it. Busy Sunday morning and he greeted everyone that walked in and got everyone set up and taken care of. Tim was my artist and needless to say he killed it and I'm super stoked! He made what I wanted work even though it was a tough ask, sign of a true artist and a person that takes pride in making sure to give their customers a great experience. What else stood out to me is that the mood and vibe at Classic was so awesome, all the artist and other employees are friendly, easy to talk to and willing to help anyone. All and all great experience, definitely will be coming back! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Tim H.

Tim Hendricks is a second-generation artist, taught by his father at a young age and a Fullerton native. Tim has been tattooing since the early nineties, he got his start by learning to tattoo in this very neighborhood that cradles Classic Tattoo. Tim received his first professional tattoo at this very shop over 30 years ago and now owns this establishment today.

Classic is a legendary shop rich with history, and the renovations made to it really make you realize how much respect everyone involved has for the location and it's past. They have taken great care to showcase much of the old flash and keep the original feel - in some ways it feels like a sort of tattoo museum. Really cool, and incredibly well done. I got tattooed by the owner, Tim Hendricks, and he certainly did not disappoint. His skill level is top knotch, and everyone in the shop was very friendly and helpful. Obviously, getting tattooed is not the most pleasant thing you can do with your free time, but they make it as comfortable as possible and really go the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with the product. There are an infinite amount of tattoo shops these days, but I always think it's important to remember that you can't get good work cheap, and you can't get cheap work good. Getting a tattoo is a major life decision, and, (obvious reminder) will be there for the rest of your life. Do your research before getting something like that done, just like you would buying a car or any other luxury item. This is not saying that the cost is extravagant - it is more along the lines of a helpful suggestion for anyone who came this far on the internet to find a good place to get tattooed. Tim, along with all of the other artists at the shop, take great pride in what they do, and their prices fairly reflect that. Not only does this shop have very courteous and professional artists, but it is the cleanest tattoo business I've ever been inside. Each time I go in, I work with Jeff Sypherd who is always willing to patiently draw out designs that conform to my preferences. I've known Jeff for many years and his artwork is incredibly unique! Each time that I'm a customer, I feel that I'm given an individual experience that is carefully tailored to my preferences. More than that, I've seen the work that Javier, Gabe and Joe do and I'm always impressed! I recommend my friends to this shop because it is safe, clean, and the artists tailor each design around the customers wants - always leaving them satisfied. Mover over Disneyland, because this is truly the happiest place on earth, for me that is. This place is breath taking the moment you walk in. Such a historical place, with an amazing staff and awesome work. Its truly like you were to walk back into the past. YOU can never go wrong with getting your ink done with these bad boys. I want to truly thank Joey for always giving me perfect, very vibrant and amazing traditional work. I honestly can never be disappointed. A few months ago, I stopped into classic tattoo as a walk-in and was warmly greeted by everybody. I picked a rad little spider out of Isaac's flash book and was super happy with the end results. Since then I have gone back three more times. I got tattooed by chris twice and once by the owner Tim and every time I was in the shop, I noticed everybody who walked through the doors if they had a simple question or we're looking to book large scale work we're all greeted and treated the same way, as a tattooer and business owner I can't recommend this place enough whether you're a hard-core tattoo enthusiast or somebody just looking to get a fun quick tattoo if you live in the area, this is the shop for you. I just got my 7th tattoo from Bryan at Classic and it won't be my last. The shop is super clean and holds onto the nostalgia of a traditional tattoo shop. Everyone that works there is professional and cool. Bryan is not only an amazing tattoo artist but you'll get great conversation, care and honesty. They'll be the first to tell you if something you want won't age well, etc. You know why? Because this shop and the people in it are professionals with experience and have INTEGRITY. And because of this it won't be cheap and honestly why would you want it to be? You can't have all of the above at a low price point. Classic tattoo is great! Been a frequent client for 8 years and each time I'm incredibly pleased with the results. The atmosphere is great and all of the artists have been awesome and welcoming. My artist John Troeller has done 9 of my tattoos and I couldn't be more satisfied with all of em. Every time I've come in with half an idea, he's been more than patient to help me find exactly what I want. I haven't gotten tattooed here yet, but I must say the renovations make it look so much more inviting. I love the colors, new sign and all the people who work there are awesome too. The owner is totally a babe, but that is neither here nor there. This was my first tattoo by John Troeller at Classic Tattoo. Because I was coming in from out of state, I set up an appointment in advance. I told John what I wanted and he delivered. He drew the first stencil, we talked about placement and color. He then drew another one based on our conversation. John took the time to make sure I was comfortable and got the tattoo I wanted. My artist here is Joe Rouhana and needless to say I will never get tattooed by anyone else. He's done both of my sleeves and chest piece and I couldn't be more happier with his work. I've been tattooed more than a few times and have been to many tattoo shops and Classic Fullerton tops the list as one of my favourites. I travelled from the west coast of Canada to visit the shop and get tattooed by Chuco Moreno. All my expectations were met and exceeded. Chuco is a legend and the staff there are awesome. Classic Tattoo is an awesome tattoo shop. What I like about the shop is how friendly and accommodating everyone is. The shop managers are great at helping customers and keeping things going. John Troeller has been doing my tattoos. He does an awesome job. While I'm there, I see all of the other artists making awesome tattoos also. All of the artists at Classic are good. My dad and I flew from Florida to get tattooed by Tim Hendricks. Tim is a world class tattoo artist and an even cooler dude. Classic Tattoo is one of the cleanest and friendliest shops I've ever been in. It's an awesome environment with a lot of history behind it. Every artist there is badass and will give you a A+ tattoo. Jeff did an amazing job on my tattoo. There was a lot of ink, and I have been to places before where they either gave me bad advice, or a bad tattoo, but not Jeff. I have several tattoos, and all of them have been done by different artists, and I can say that Jeff's work is far and away the best I have had done. Found this shop on Yelp and was a bit worried what to expect...had never really got a real tattoo ( long story). I'm so glad I ended up in Tims' hands!!! He was awesome!!! Made me feel comfortable and at ease. Left with exactly what I wanted. And price wise- very reasonable. All his staff were professional and welcoming! I love this tattoo parlor! It has such a great old school feel and the work is amazing. Love the traditional sparrows Joe did for me. He was very accommodating and made me feel welcome. When I tagged along with my bf, who got an amazing Panther tattoo, Javier answered my random questions about the history of the shop and of tattooing, etc. Such a welcoming shop. I don't know how I'm ever supposed to get tattooed by anyone else!!! I have been lucky enough to get 3 tattoos now, by Tim H. He is an expert at guiding my ideas and fine tuning my vision.
