Then message was sent 48 hrs, 1 part was missing & new date 7/22/22. I've sent 2 messages, no response. Today is 7/25, CPP eBay has blocked me from messaging them now. Zero stars should be an option. Received item that was not as described and with no instructions. Instead, I was provided with a picture of a car being built. I was not willing to modify my car to fit their part. Item was returned at a cost of $38 to me for shipping. After 2 weeks of acknowledging receipt of item and being told my refund would be issued, I received a refund that had been reduced by 20% with no explanation. Now being told by CPP that the reduction was a restocking fee. Yet return invoice shows the 20% as a "discount" with $0 as a restocking fee. After contacting the seller regarding the $60 "discount", they have offered to waive the "restocking fee" for a store credit. What could I possibly want from them, after they sold me a part that did not fit and did not match the description? Transaction was via eBay. First and foremost, I'm an ASE certified technician, I have built several custom cars and motorcycles in my 30 years in the field... This isn't my first rodeo. After buying many parts from these guys, hundreds if not thousands of dollars generated through friends and family that I recommended to CPP.. They have LOST my business today...I will never buy anything from these people ever again, I will tell all my friends to do the same.. Bough a disc brake conversion kit from them less than 20hrs ago,asked the counter man if we could return the kit if it wouldn't work with my OG wheels and he said" as long as you bring it back in less than a couple of days ,with no damage, and in sale able condition it should be no problem, and I WILL NOT Charge a re-stocking fee" Well, hours after arriving home(2hrs away) we immediately realized the disc brake conversion would not work (only way it will work if you replace the wheels which means another 400-500 bucks plus tires) not an option for me.all parts are still in t he original boxes,unopened and sealed... Next day,less than 24hrs later after driving in L.A. Traffic, they refuse to honor the initial agreement of hassle free returns and no re-stocking fees..to make matters worse,I wait 30 minutes for them to "cut a check" for me..oh! Did I mention that they refuse to give me cash back ?? Ordered the right control arm set, they shipped the wrong set, and in the meantime, the car sits on my hoist at my shop for a week, waiting for the correct part shipment. When I call and ask where my parts are, they tell me they are waiting for me to return the wrong parts, and only THEN, will they ship them out, unless I want to pay again for the correct parts. I paid for them (now twice) so I could complete the job, and now trying (still) to get my refund for the parts that they incorrectly shipped. This company gets one star only because I have no lower option. Working with CPP has been a nightmare. This place is awful. So far they have found a way to screw up every order they've sent to our shop. The kits are usually supplied with instructions for completely different vehicles and without fail show up with some form of wrong component included or show up with something missing completely. Furthermore, once you encounter a problem, good luck trying to get someone at CPP to put forth any effort to resolve it when the issue was more than likely their fault to begin with. Good luck getting a call back from these guys either. I have wasted more time sitting on hold with this company trying to reach anyone who can get something done over there that it is down right ridiculous. How is this place still in business? I ordered a set of springs through CPP, first the web ordering system let me setup an order where I shipped to an address different than my billing address, looks like they have since changed their system so this won't happen. My order sat around about two weeks before I called and resolved the issue. The springs arrived promptly but along with them came a $55 charge for shipping, the estimator on the website estimated about half of that. According to the person I contacted that's about standard for shipping to the West Coast. For the amount of volume these guys do I am in disbelief their shipping is this expensive. About a month ago I got a Show Stopper Hydraulic Brake System kit 900.00 bucks the first kit the chrome on the master cylinder was defective and they replaced it, the second kit one of the pressure hose fitting keep leaking so I called them and the guy that answered told me to bring it to the store and they will fix it so I went to the store and the guy told me they don't fix hoses so I told him what about the warranty he told me there is no warranty. so This is my last time I get something from them, I never had a problem with Classic industries in Huntington Beach a lot better than CPP. read more

Their salesman had no clue what the right part was; why even send it to me to begin with? No response after trying to track down my return. Finally got a hold of them and they said we damaged the product and had to pay an additional 40% fee, but it was never used, so how was it damaged? Worst mistake I made. They have a little bracket for the sway bar to hook up to and it scraps on my coil spring. The stock sway bar did not line up with their little bracket and their own sway bar didn't line up with their own control arms! Crazy that they have even got away with this stuff. Plain and simple, if you want a decent product DO NOT go to CPP. It will cost you more time and money in the long run. read more

I ordered a set of Viking front coil over shocks for a 1973 Camaro and was sent one 1967 and 1973 shock. The shocks were sent in two separate boxes that did not indicate a make and model indicating which is which. The shocks are physically similar with the 1967 shock being about 1/2 inch shorter that was not evident until after installation. I returned the incorrect shock and CPP refused to replace it because of a small scratch on the housing of the shock. I didn't take pictures before sending the shock and was not aware of any scratch to the shock so I could not refute that this might have happened while sending the shock back. I paid $425 for both shocks, springs, and hardware and CPP's proposed solution was for send the correct shock for $170, essentially full price. I proposed splitting the difference at $85 because I do not see why I should have to buy a new shock because they sent the incorrect part which was impossible for me to know until after installation. Despite being a repeat customer and having spent over $4500 with them year they have left me with a set of shocks I cannot use. Their customer service is argumentative, I was left on hold for 30 minutes, and repeatedly lied to by rep. Danny Castillo. I spent 2 months trying to get the correct coil over sent so I could remove my Camaro off the jack stands. Eventually I had to settle for having them send the incorrect shock back and pursue my claim with my credit card company. Avoid CPP at all cost. CPP is your best friend during sales and a complete nightmare if you have problems. When you purchase from CPP, whether they send you the correct part or not, you will own it. They will not back up any of their promises, accuse you of damaging a return, and not respond to emails or voice messages. I have found out first hand that they make their money by unethical business practices. CPP has many 1 star reviews here. Don't be fooled by these 5 star "customers". read more

I really believe that CPP Performance offers great parts, but their service level is very poor. Purchased a big brake upgrade for front and rear on my 1972 Chevelle from them. Although the fit and feel are great, they left out so many parts. For the money I spent I figured it would ship complete. Called numerous times to be put on hold for eternity, to leave your name and number and we will call you back. They did return my call, and I missed it, but to return it 10 minutes before they close? I've had enough!! I am a service manager at a local auto repair and restoration shop. I have had the displeasure of dealing with CPP on more than one occasion. We have done two disc brake conversions on 67-69 Camaros, and it took numerous trips back to CPP to get the right set up. The ball joint holes were always way too small. We did a disc brake conversion and Power Steering upgrade on a 1963 Chevy pick up and got two completely different spindles, had to take the one back and swap it out. It took over 6 MONTHS to get my complete tubular upper and lower "A" arms and spindles for a 1966 Suburban (which they said would take two weeks and by the way they make on site). That wouldn't be such a problem but I could never get a return phone call or even a straight answer from any of the sales reps. as to when to expect it. Then when it all finally came in, they informed me that the shock relocating kit (that I specified I needed in the original order) was going to cost extra. Really?? Could you imagine if my shop was in South Carolina? Imagine all of the shipping back and forth and length of time it would take to complete one car? These guys supposedly sell their stuff World Wide, so I guess the one star that I'm forced to give them is for them being so local to me.
