The fence looks good, for the price there were immediately split boards everywhere and my dog knocks the boards off constantly after they told me it would hold for him. I would not have spent 7,000 dollars if I knew the fence couldnt even hold my dog in. They were very nice and professional the entire time. The product just isnt the best. My experience with the company was a nightmare. I ordered the fence, to their defense Covid slowed delivery by five months. However, when their workmen installed the fence they cut through my smart home lines; major water valves, pet fence, and garage generator electric wires. Three different areas. Worse, the workmen did not bother to notify me, nor did company. When my irrigation did not work that night, my irrigation service provided came out and found all the damage done up my property $1.200 before smart home repairs. I was told the owner would contact me- they never did until they wanted the other 50 percent payment. I made that Payne this in good faith they would deduct have the repairs off the price of the gate they had yet to install. Once they were paid they failed to get the gate done. When i contacted them they said they'd work with my attorney. As of date, no return calls to my attorney or me. I received calls from Tamara at this company only when she wanted to get paid. I asked for my fence in my new construction home to be on my side of the property line only so I do not to share and save further issues with neighbors if repairs are needed etc. To also give extra support and security to my elder dog. Well, this was never done or even done in writing(my fault) never take anything verbally. They also put the door on the wrong side. Now I'm having issues with new neighbors using my fence for free and not offering half mind this is all new construction. There are a lot of gaps underneath. I am not sure if this is the dirt or them. A lot of the wood is full of splinters. Im talking almost completely on the board. I have difficulty opening my door. It is on a slant so not sure if this contributes but I have to pull the door up by the wood to even unlock it. When I do I get splinters. Also, the manager whose name starts with a T is very unprofessional. She told me my new neighbors are rude for not asking for me to share. Thus getting almost a 2 grand side of the fence for free. Then she told my neighbors the complete opposite and said I'm causing a ruckus to her employees outside. I went out 1 time to ask if they were connecting to my fence. He replied no and put the post directly behind. No other words were ever exchanged. I got an accidental voicemail from the manager that was for my neighbor stating I was outside multiple times causing a ruckus to her workers. I have cameras lady and have your voicemail. Because a customer called the office and asked questions about the fence I paid for and the property line and easement doesn't mean Im causing a ruckus to onsite workers. The owner never called me back per my request. Now I have to pay for another company to move my fence get another survey and put in boards not giving me splinters and fix the gap underneath. read more

We bought our house a year ago, and when we moved in there was a four foot tall arch style, space picket fence. I wasn't a fan of the arch style. I would have rather had a nice finished, flat top, but we kept the fence, because it was fine and did its job. In that year, our dog grew from puppyhood to adulthood, and while the fence was fine when we moved in, it wasn't fine a year later, when the now adult dog could jump over it. We got a second dog as well, and to add to the complications, she could get under the fence. It was time to have it replaced. After three estimates, we settled on Classic, even though it wasn't the cheapest of the three. They were the friendliest, the most professional (believe me when I tell you they were the most professional - a guy from one of the other companies showed up drunk and yelled in my front yard), and they were very prompt. We didn't want privacy, because our children like to talk to their friends through the fence when they are playing in the backyard; they like to see what's going on. We settled on five foot, space picket, and I finally got my pretty finished top. They moved it back to sit on the actual property line. The original was over a foot off. It was also crooked, and they fixed that, as well. They were aware that it needed to be installed pretty much flush with the ground, because we had a small dog that could get under. The classic crew was fast (it took two days), efficient, friendly, and they didn't leave a single bit of mess behind. We had one small issue (a gap behind the air conditioner that actually let the small dog out). When I called, Lynne was courteous and concerned. The first thing she asked was if we got our dog back. They showed up to fix it two days after we called. As always, the men who showed up were friendly and helpful, and less than five minutes later, the gap was fixed with a board measured and cut to fit, looking like it had been there all along. I absolutely love Classic Fence. They are the nicest people to deal with, from their office staff, designers and installers. They installed our original 42 section cedar picket fence 20 years ago. A couple of years ago they replaced 4 posts for me that had rotted due to standing water around the fence line and today they came out and replaced 11 posts and 9 sections that had just rotted over time due to carpenter ants. The guys worked so hard in almost 90 degree weather with occasional rain storms. The rep from Classic Fence was very nice and the quote he gave me was comparable to the others I received over the phone, so I decided to go with Classic Fence. They came out as soon as I got my building permit and approval from the association and were done in two days. They left the yard clean and took out the utility flags. So far my experience with Classic Fence has only been over the phone, but they have been, by and large, the most polite and responsive. I have called six fencing companies for quotes. Three never called me back. I have had to call two of them back every single day for four days to follow up, and still only JUST got a guesstimate from one of them on what the price "might" be. They have my plat of survey - I should be getting more than a guesstimate. On top of that, they keep telling me how backed up and busy they are. I haven't even hired you, and you're already not following up with me, and keep telling me how overloaded you are? Not a good sign, if you ask me. Classic on the other hand was very polite, and I had an accurate quote within half an hour of sending them the plat of survey. Their quote was also cheaper than the "guesstimate" the other company gave me. At this point, even if the third company comes back with a lower quote - their service has been such a turn off, I think we're best off with Classic Fence. read more

I just had a large 6 foot vinyl fence installed by this company. First off, from the sales process, Francisco was as good as it gets. They matched a bid from another company, and put me on the schedule. The first day they said they'd be there, they were. Even after the first day, I wanted a large gate moved to be more available to get a car through easily, and they did it at no extra charge. They really went the extra mile for me and my property. In our experience, this was a great company to hire... until we paid them and had a problem. Specifically, water was leaking into the bottom of a removable fence post put in and we called to see if they could "cap" the PVC. In total it took three weeks for someone to get back to us, then another two for them to "work" on the problem. The solution was for guys to randomly show up, nail in unfinished boards to the bottom of our fence post, then leave without even checking with us - or notifying us they were there. I then followed up with Classic fence basically saying that if you don't want to do the work, that's fine, I will... just don't half-ass it. Their response was that it would be great if I could fix it then. In between the install and the problem (a few months) we had recommended Classic to several people; lesson learned. read more

Hands down, the best experience with a contractor ever! Our old fence needed replaced before this winter and Tom and his crew did an amazing job in just 3 days. Very professional work. We have a large back yard and were very impressed from the initial estimate meeting to the end result. Tom also met with our neighbors to discuss the plans and delivered as expected. Redwood board on board looks amazing! Price was comparable to 2 other bids, but we went with Classic Fence due to great reviews. My husband and I are VERY pleased with our fence!! We LOVE it!! I called around the area and received six quotes and they were the best deal! The were able to finish the fence ahead of schedule (only 4 days after we signed the contract) and it only took them 1.5 days to do it! The final product is beautiful, and very high quality. They were able to go down very low to the ground, which prevents a gap at the bottom (that I see other fences with the same style have) and we don't want our dogs escaping (they are small dogs) or tons of rabbits getting into our yard. Also, our yard has a slope and they made it look seamless, the same height the entire way, and just used different size boards where the ground slopes... it looks amazing! My husband/father/brothers were planning on building our fence, but it would have costed more, taken way longer, and not have looked as nice as this... we are very very happy with Classic Fence! We used Classic Fence to replace 6' fence across our property. We did it in segments since it's quite expensive. The first 2 sides were great but the last and final segment I wasn't happy with at all. There were large enough spaces at bottom that our dogs got through repeatedly, it wasn't even, and the gate didn't close properly also letting the dogs out among other things. I called and made an appt to have sales person come out but they missed the appt. I even left work early. They did call me the next day and said they'd call me back but I finally called the office at 4 o'clock when I didn't hear back. The salesperson came out but wouldn't even listen to my concerns and kept speaking over me. Finally, she said she'd have the owner call me and left. I've never heard anything back. I would NOT recommend them. Their service is terrible once they've completed the job. They could care less about how satisfied the customer is. read more

I had a replacement fence installed on Sept. 23rd, 24th, and 25th. I usually don't complain and try to take things in stride, but the install was a complete train wreck.... Monday I wait until about 9:30 for someone to show up. No call, no show. I call Classic. I was asked if I got a work permit. Said, "No, you guys were supposed to get it." I paid extra for it. The person then said that the Village had not mailed it to them yet. Keep in mind this is the first I'm hearing about it -- I would think someone would have called me about it prior. They said they would call the Village and find out... wait some more. Finally, I call the Village and they said it has been ready and all someone needs to do is pick it up. Call Classic back and told them. Someone went and picked it up and the crew didn't get here until 1200. I get a call from Classic about the lot line and the fence would have to moved in without neighbor's signature -- I think the original fence was in twelve inches anyway, and had been there almost ten years, and three other fences attach to mine. Not thinking the neighbors would be too happy if I moved it in. But at that time there was nothing I could do about getting signatures from all three of the neighbors on that day, as they were all at work. I had to have the fence up by Tuesday or lose a day's pay at work. So I said to put it wherever it needed to be... obviously it would still have to connect to the neighbor's. I thought there would be some common sense regarding obstacles. Posts go in. They looked OK from ground level... I wake up on Tuesday and look out a top window to see (in horror), that the posts were put in through my raised bed garden. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open thinking "Who in God's name would do that?? You can't install a fence over a raised bed of landscape timbers and have six inches of timbers two and a half feet high sticking through the fence into my neighbor's side!!!!!" I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that someone would do that without contacting me or the office, saying, "Gee, we might have a problem here... are you sure we should do this?" I said the fence could be moved in a little, but obviously NOT if there was an obstacle in the way. What would they have done if it was a play set, or shed? So I'm out in the yard taking pictures at 6:30 in the morning with my neighbor looking at me and the posts like I'm a complete fool. Call Classic up, and was told that they were "stymied", saying they would fix it and another crew would come out (do you think). I was told it was miscommunication. Are you kidding? Again, who would do something like that?? Another crew comes out. Classic calls the Village and ask if the fence could simply be put up where it has been for almost ten years. The Village said that was fine!! UGH!! They worked all day to get all the botched posts out and put up new ones. Did fine, but the top wasn't cut yet and had no gate. Wednesday I had to take the day off work without pay, losing about $450 to get it finished. Was told they would be back at 8:00. I thought I still might be able to go to work late so I didn't lose so much money. They didn't show up till after noon, so I lost the whole day. Also the gate has no handle on the outside to open it... you have to reach over the fence to open it, or go through the house to the other side. It also opens opposite the way I instructed. We needed to replace 375 feed of fence and Classic Fence gave us the best quote of the companies we talked to. The fence is only a few weeks old so I can't talk longevity but the installation process was great. The initial sales rep was the only one who identified that we needed a specialty gate and warned us of some damage that would be done to a stone walkway due it to it being too close to the gate. I was told that our installation would take 2-3 days but it ended up taking 6. The delay was worth it because they were often waiting for the correctly cut piece, and I'd prefer they take longer to do the job than do a poor job just so they could finish. We have an angled piece of fence in the front yard and all other companies told me they couldn't do it, but Classic Fence said they could do it, and made sure they did it correctly. I was very impressed with the precision of the installation team, all posts are the same height and the fence looks great. The installers conferred with me when there was a decision to make about a fence post, and i appreciated being consulted instead of them making assumptions. With 375 feet of fence there are bound to be some imperfections but I am very happy with the finished results. The team did leave behind one of the posts from the old fence sticking out of the ground and Classic Fence sent someone the day after I called to remove the fence. All in all I was very impressed with the professionalism of the installers. This fence was not cheap and I was a little concerned based on the amount of fence we need (and its on a corner and white picket!) but it turned out great! read more
