A great haircut for a great value. The barber shops farther up into West Seattle cost a good chunk more and are no better.

Best cuts in Seattle. Robbie is the owner of Colman Barbershop and always does a very clean and…read moreprecise fade. I've been coming here for more than several years now and have never been disappointed. Recommend calling as he can be booked out a couple days ahead.

It's come to this: the Colman Building Barbershop is the only place I'll get my hair cut anymore…read more I've had cheap haircuts and I've had expensive ones. Robby's shop falls somewhere in the middle, price-wise, but his work and his partner Madison's are consistently at the top of the list when I get out of the chair and get a look at what they've done. There's never that awkward "oh no, what am I going to do with this?" moment when you see it for the first time. Simply put, their cuts look fabulous, every time. As experiences go, the Colman Barbershop is fun and relaxing. You can go expecting funny adult conversation with a racy edge to it, classic rock on the stereo, a comfortable old-school barbershop chair to sit in, and a phone that rings like a phone, not an electronic tweet. Robby and Madison not only deliver a great cut, they have genuine fun chatting with you and with each other while you're there. And men? Go with the knowledge that you're not quite done when your hair is done. You've got a rare treat in store before you're all the way finished, a back-of-the-neck shave with warm shaving cream and a straight razor, followed up with a warm wet towel. It's a delight for the senses not to be missed, and it feels fantastic afterwards. So. It comes to this: get thee to the Colman Building Barbershop for 45 minutes of entertaining downtime, for good music, for a little nostalgia, and most importantly, for the best haircut you'll ever have. Call me picky, but I won't settle for anything less.
