Pretty great first cut here with Heather. The decor is excellent and the banter was solid. Not to mention the cut itself, which was on point! I'll be back. read more

I needed a new barber and was looking around and I found this place with such a good vibe. I called ahead and said I had a challenge (my hair), and something specific in mind. Nickolaus absolutely killed it!!! He had never really worked with my hair type but was confident in his skills. Also the service comes with a wash which is super awesome. The whole shop has some of the best energy I think I've ever experienced, thanks for making it fun Nick I'll be back read more

Great barbershop in Whitecenter. Tried this place for the first time as I was looking for a new barber and am definitely coming back.

Stephanie Marie is horrible. !! Do not book, cancels last minute, not forthright either. Very disappointing

I had a great experience getting my hair cut by Stephanie. She uses her technical skills, expertise, and clear communication to deliver an outstanding result. My fine, flat hair now has ~texture~ Thank you, Stephanie! Would absolutely recommend Barberella's to anyone looking to support a local, White Center Barber Shop. read more

I reserved a haircut online and got Kellie. She was awesome and gave me the best haircut I have had in years. While the haircut was going we had a great conversation and I left feeling very happy and I am looking forward to seeing her again in the future. The place had a great vibe and the other stylist seemed very happy to be there which is nice to see. read more

First time guest and I was super impressed with their cleanliness, how they followed all Covid-19 protocols and the welcoming atmosphere !!! Kellie recently moved from Bishop's to Barberellas and I followed her from West Seattle to White Center. Of course, Kellie provided her usual engaging conversation but she also gave me a WONDERFUL HAIRCUT. I even provided my girlfriends information because she's lookin for a new hairdresser and Kellie reached out to her even before I arrived home. #GreatGuestService #Keepupthegreatwork read more

Anna does such a fine job, plus the whole vibe is great. I used to hate getting my hair cut (still kinda do) but I LOVE going to Barbarella and leaving it to Anna to get this thing done. read more

Leah gave me a great cut. She totally respected what I was going for (didn't disregard my requests for more masculine shape and clipper-cut). I also got a RAD song to exit to (Erasure! How did she know?!). Finally found my new WS barber and will be making another appointment soon! read more

I live in West Seattle and I've been traveling to Mountlake Terrace every two weeks for my haircut. The reason I drove so far was because the place I went to had plenty of chairs (with barbers working, no appointment needed, and they did everything a true barber should do (comfortable haircut, razor neck shave, ears, eyebrows, etc). After getting a mediocre cut I decided to look for something closer. I stumbled upon Barberella's and thought this might be a good fit for me. I actually love the online booking..so easy. Their hours are great (open till 9pm) and thanks to Cristina and her very efficient cut I am sold that this place is the real deal. She did everything I expect from a sitting and also washed my hair...(scalp) after. My new go to... read more

Happy I gave this new spot in my neighborhood a shot. Insanely happy with the cut and service. I have thick hair with a fun cowlick or 2 to deal with. She handled it perfectly and it looks great styled. Also, the fade she did is awesome. Def the best one I've had since living in Seattle. My wife even said that it's the best cut I've had in a while. Other perks: *cute dogs to look at while in the chair or waiting *nice stylist who are fun to chat with *ample free parking *takes credit cards Needless to say I'll be back again. read more

I have been to Barberella's twice now and felt like I was given the royal treatment both times. Alycen has mastered her craft and it shows! My fade looks like it was photoshopped. Thanks!! read more

Just got a great men's cut by Amanda, the owner. Great new shop in the neighborhood. Nice vibe with some cool antique decorative touches. Blends hip-modern barbershop with classic, old school barbershop effortlessly. Highly recommended. I'll be back. read more

This place is supposed to be open until 9pm, I rolled up at 6:07. I confirmed with the barber (female with pink hair) that the place was still open. Took my seat and finished my phone conversation. Immediately after I hung up my phone, I was told that the barber was closing and would not be able to do my hair. Why advertise that you are open until 9, having OPEN signs flashing, confirm before I sit down your available.... only to send me away? The stuck up bitch with the pink hair needs to be fired and the establishment needs to honor its hours. This lady is a total bitch! I would avoid. read more

As I sit here in front of of the Columbia tower with my hair frolicking in the wind, I'm reminded that I'm almost due for a haircut. My first thought was, "shit I need to get this mane tamed and who better than Barberella's". Last time I went in I had no trouble finding this gem, but the parking can be a bit difficult. Don't let that stop you from coming here though as these ladies will give you a cut or color that will change your game or confidence. Ambiance = A+ Conversations = A+ Nino = A+++ Y'all keep doing your thing, can't wait for that next cut. read more

This crowd is always friendly and professional AND so different than the corporate shops. The decor alone makes it worthwhile! Making an appointment online is glitch-free and my expert (Izzy) is always clear about her availability. Super dependable and conscientious. She knows my hair and my preferences and doesn't try to upsell. Barberella's is another funky bright spot in White Center! read more

Just got the best cut here! Heather was a pro and listened to what I wanted. Then I just let her go at it! The place is comfortable and laid back. I'll be back soon! My dog also loved Heather and the friendly atmosphere! read more

I adore this place. The staff are friendly and very kind. Alycen is attentive, communicative, and a great stylist. I have the best haircut I have ever had in my whole life because of Barberellas. Thank you!!!! !!! Miranda !!! read more

Top notch. The shop has that relaxed old time feel to it. The Barbers are warm and welcoming. Heather Peterman has done a great job with my hair. My 68 year old disabled wife is a retired Barber. She accompanied me on the first visit and was impressed enough that she has had Heather cut her hair as well. She has gotten several comments that she looks younger. That has made a positive difference in her condition. Until I happened to find Heather quite by chance, my wife was the only one who had cut my hair for almost fifty years. I'm glad I had the fortune to have found her. We'll be consistent customers. read more

Leah cut my hair and trimmed my beard and I couldn't be happier. I've struggled to find somewhere that does a good job.

Amanda is a fantastic hairstylist! Flexible schedules, online booking service works well, easy to find, and easy parking.

Amanda always does a great job. Even if I don't know what I want, I end up looking terrific. And if I"m lucky, I get to pet Nino, the coolest pooch in town! read more

My husband went to get his first barbershop haircut and beard trim today and let me tell you Heather Peterman slayed his hair today ! It looks amazing and he looks 15 again he will be back in a few weeks. Fun comfy atmosphere and love all the vintage decor throughout the shop and the furniture. They have been open just short of a year and hope they continue in the neighborhood for years to come. PS there was a super cute and friendly dog in the shop too. read more

Haven't written a yelp review in years, but this shop is is worth breaking the fast. I've only seen the owner Amanda for a cut and beard trim, and she put together a fantastic skin fade for me for a better price than I'd expected. Shop is set up in White Center styling, classic furniture with a kind of tattoo parlor vibe. Skip the crap at Rudy's or the high dollar shops downtown and go here for a classic cut. read more

Horrible, horrible customer service! I have honestly never had worse. I was a loyal repeat customer who typically could ignore Amanda's negativity. In July I showed up for a previously scheduled full haircut to be told that I had only signed up for a bang trim. I'm not sure how this happened from the booking but didn't appreciate her attitude that it was definitely my fault and she's just too busy to be bothered. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for a month out in August for another full haircut (bang and long cut). This time she TOTALLY no called and no showed!!!! I showed up for my appointment to be told by her colleague that Amanda had called and texted everyone but she was unavailable. WTF? The only text I got was one from the Barbershop confirming my 7:30 appointment (of which she was not there). I called her the following afternoon offering a chance for her to apologize and she left me a return message telling me that she'd texted me. If she had texted me, I would not have arranged childcare and driven out of my way to come to her business. If you want to avoid drama and HORRENDOUS customer services, seriously steer away from Amanda and her business. There is no excuse for such terrible customer service. read more

I left the easy coast to travel nurse over three years ago. Needles to say, I've been to a lot of barbers. While in Seattle, Amanda has provided me with hands down the best haircuts I've had in over three years. Wish I could take them with me. Plus there's cool dogs to hang with. Bonus! read more

I just had a color and cut from IZZY NICOLE and I'm ecstatic! My hair is so gorgeous and far exceeded my expectations. I came in needing some serious color corrections so much orange and stripes. My hair was also extremely brittle and damaged yet I came out looking superb. I highly recommend seeing her for color and cuts. They also let me bring my dog! read more

Good haircut, good conversation, good price, and good COVID practices. This was my first visit, and I'll be back. I was a longtime customer at a shop in Ballard that closed during the pandemic. I got my first amazing haircut by Amanda when she was at Rudy's in West Seattle and I have never got in cut by anyone since, even now that she now owns her business in White Center. I highly recommend Barberlla's for your future haircut needs. read more

I say mid fade. They give me a low fade. I say I'm growing my hair out to an inch. Then they say "no. One and a half is better." Because white "barbers" are experts on Asian hair. I say skin fade and to hit it with a foil shaver then they say they will only do the sides because otherwise, it'll be a bald fade. But... a bald fade and skin fade are the same. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt by trying it for a second go only to have my hair cut by the same stylist who talked about her client as soon as he walked out the door because she couldn't braid his hair. read more
