I parked clumsily (if anyone can do that, it's me). My Mazda's rear bumper met my neighbor's 30 year old VW bus front bumper & my Mazda lost. Zsu Zsu's rear bumper hung like a jack-o-lantern smile. No damage to my neighbor's car, thankfully, but the string I used to hold Zsu Zsu's bumper in place was clearly not a long term solution. I asked the auto body teacher at my college where I should go. He said Renton Collision. I decided to forego insurance, thinking it wouldn't be that expensive. The initial estimate to replace the whole bumper was close to $1,000. It still seemed easier than dealing with my insurance company. But Brent had another solution- one that fit my budget perfectly and would set Zsu Zsu back to rights in a single day. I dropped her off the next morning. Brent emailed me at mid day to tell me she'd be ready at 5. She was- looking just like she did before that mean VW tore into her- and they'd even detailed her lightly. Dusted, vacuumed, washed. Perfectly professional. Great work ethic in all the employees and owners I worked with. They worked with me well even though a neighbor hit me and didn't want to go through insurance. I have used a large chain in Bellevue for 4 previous accidents between myself and my husband, and I'll never go back. RCC was quick, efficient, creative and accommodating. I would give -1 if this site allowed me to do so.I am really not happy at all with the work done by the facility and I regret taking my vehicle there. The alignment was not good, the inside was dirty and he was dissatisfied with both the body work and paint work performed. I was not kept updated and I had to call the facility to get progress information. I would not recommend the business because they do not seem to have any quality control and the quality of the work was not good. It is the same with any other small car collision repair center quality of work and you only need to pay extra in this place for bad quality. read more

Hands down the best repair shop...and we've been here a few times over the last few years :). Super professional, and my Jeep comes back in stellar condition. They always go the extra mile to detail it inside and out, and even did a complimentary tire rotation the last time we were here. Above all, they are super super fast. Literally I'm in and out of there within 5 minutes when dropping off/picking up. Camille, the Hertz rental gal, is a gem and a pleasure to talk to, and the owner is just the nicest. I had great service at Renton Collision and was kept updated on the status of my repair. My car was completed at the time promised. I called the shop asking to set up an appointment for a quote on some body work. I called the number and told the woman in the office what I wanted. I told her the insurance company (Farmers) asked me to take the car to a shop of my choice, get a quote with pictures and fax the quote to them. All the woman would do is say "no, that is not how it works," or "that's not how Farmers does things." I tried explaining to her that those were my explicit instructions straight from the insurance company and she wouldn't believe me... Even if she was right she was very rude about it and would not let me get a word in edge wise. Suffice to say the customer service was lacking and I will choose a different body shop going forward. read more

Frustrating experience here. Things started out fine, I was referred by my insurance company to Renton Collision Center on 4th to fix a broken window. The reviews online looked good. They received my insurance claim information, reviewed in advance, and called me to make an appointment to come in to get the required estimate from them. During my appointment they looked at my vehicle and took photos of all four corners and the broken window. After seeing my vehicle they finally decided to tell me that there is actually a hidden rule somewhere that normal insurance claims adjusters don't know... which is they are not allowed to provide an estimate for damage caused by vandalism or break-ins. Maybe this is a real thing but it seems a bit shady to me. Also it seems odd that they reviewed my insurance claim and knew my car was vandalized (btw I am covered 100% through a very reputable place) but they did not share that hidden rule with me before I re-arranged my day and came all the way down there. They waited until after I was there and saw my vehicle to inform me of this. I got the impression that since my repair required glass only, but not any expensive body work, my small job wasn't worth their time. They did ask me at several occasions if there was any other damage to the vehicle or just the glass. It was very strange that they did not seem at all concerned with turning me away. I spoke to my insurance company afterward and they said they don't know anything about this 'hidden rule' and they suggested I take my business elsewhere. Just sharing my experience to hopefully help others avoid this place. read more

I was completely freaked out because of the accident I was in, and the only thing that made me feel better was the people that fixed my car! They were so nice, and totally helped me with the insurance stuff and helping me understand what my car needed to be 100% again. I wish I wasn't in the accident, but they made me feel like they really cared about me, my car being right, and the whole experience. They are great. ;) read more

Last week my vehicle was hit while it was parked causing some damage to the front end. I was very upset when it happened being that the vehicle is less than 2 months old! After filing my insurance claim I got in touch with Renton Collision. Full disclosure - I work for the insurance company and have had the opportunity to recommend Renton Collision many, many times as they are on the preferred list of shops. This would be the first time using them for my own personal vehicle though. I took the vehicle for an estimate that night (Friday) and had an appointment Tuesday morning to drop it off. The estimator, Jesse, even took an extra step Friday night at about 5:30pm to call and order the parts while I was standing there. He walked me through what they would do and made me feel comfortable that they would get my 2014 Explorer back to looking like it did when I picked it up 2 months. I had the vehicle back on Thursday night and it looks perfect. I couldn't be happier with the service, communication, patience and professionality of everyone at this shop. I will most certainly keep recommending this shop after having my own personal experience. read more
