Claimed the parts they needed to fix the vehicle were on back order for MONTHS- turns out they are liars who can't do their job right. Who also lie on paperwork!! They have had my vehicle for 3 months, don't return phone calls, won't even give out the name of the owner of the business nor do they allow you talk to him when you call. They LIED to me and when I followed with the Chrysler dealership they ordered my part through with the PO # I found that they just ordered my parts this morning and have been lying for 3 months about them being on back order. I had one of the worst experiences I've had in 20 years. Michaels Auto Body demonstrated poor communication, missed deadlines with little explanation and they cracked my windshield and would not take responsibility for it. Had vehicle repaired previously...the work performed was acceptable...but the communication was lacking...also more importantly when I did get vehicle back it was NOT completely put back together...was missing various clips and screws that had been removed to make the repair..when I called they said they would order those and call me to have the vehicle back to go through and take care of that...WELL a year later still have yet to hear from them!! I waited 2 months and took it to the dealership and they were happy to secure everything correctly and showed me everything that was overlooked from the repair when it was put back together. Hopefully things are better now as there was no real quality control or inspection of the vehicle before giving it back to me. read more

I was told by Michael that he would do the repairs on my jeep but it was obvious that someone who had no clue did the work because my tire carrier was rattling and missing parts but the front desk told me that it was normal. I went to a friends house who had the same tire carrier that he had put on after reading the instructions which obviously Michaels staff did not read the instructions because it was done very poorly. We went and bought some of the parts that were in the kit but we're missing on my installation and my friend and I got it working correctly with no rattle but there are still a couple of missing parts that I just never got and was very disappointed. read more

Terrible Customer Service. No communication. Had my car for 3 months!! They act like they are doing you a favor. When I picked up my car they gave me a hard time because I paid with AMEX. If you don't like AMEX then don't take it! Then he gave me the keys, and told me my car was out back. No Thank you, no here is what we did to repair your car. I will never go here again!!!! MAB was recommended by my insurance company for repair of the right side of my Toyota 2014 Tundra. To keep this review short: 1) The scheduling process was very cumbersome and frustrating 2) Communication with the staff is strained and difficult. They do not follow-up and it's on you to pester them for any information. 3) They are very disorganized and their default answer when calling is to say 'We don't have record of your car'. 4) They don't call or text status information as they promise and then they get annoyed when you call for status. 5) The body repairs they performed lasted about a year before the body repair started bubbling. 6) It's now be three months trying to get them to perform warranty work and they always have an excuse why they can't perform the work. 7) They finally took my vehicle for warranty work, kept it a week, then when I begged a status from them, they said that they didn't have the materials (paint)! Good lord, why ask the customer for the vehicle before you check your materials inventory? 8) I've now switched to communicating with them via email but they wont respond via email. 9) I can't think of single aspect of my interactions with Michaels that has been professional or competent. read more

They even offer loaner cars if you need one and not an old Junker but a really nice car while yours is being worked on. We took our car in on a Friday for Hail Dent removal and the car was ready a day earlier than we were told. FIRST CLASS all the way. I've been holding off on writing this review hoping to have my truck back and issues resolved, but yet again I am without my vehicle after the promised return date for now the second time. I came to Michael's per the recommendation of Geico and I've had work done here in the past, however this time it's been an horrific experience. So it started with misleading texts and miscommunication between the staff. I was told the bumper was weeks out, then told it was the bedside, which I was able to locate in town in less than 5 minutes, but then back to the bumper, which wasn't even the issue in the long run. After 31 days I was told my truck was finally done. Went to pick it up and my headlight was not working, my window switch was broken but biggest of all they missed the repairs on the entire right side of my truck!?! Yeah it was quoted out and included in the estimate as well as paid for by insurance but it was "missed". So, they said they would rush the repairs and my truck would be another week. The owner kept me informed of the progress and I was told the truck would be done Thursday... And here we are. Got a call an hour before pickup stating that they can't get the headlights to work. All lights were working when I dropped the vehicle off. I am beyond upset about this experience and still without a vehicle. No offer to cover a rental (insurance only covers 30 days) no restitution offered at all (maybe offer to detail the entire vehicle) but nope, just wait and be without a vehicle. I installed the headlights on the truck and got them to work just fine, yet trained technicians aren't able to figure it out. I am venting a little here but man I'm upset. I know that stuff happens sometimes but a resolution is all I'm looking for. I just want my truck back working the way I dropped it off minus the dents I paid to have repaired. Super Place for Auto Body Repairs.....Michael's in Castle Rock!!! What a pleasant surprise. Super service and super nice people. Had some small spots/dings and mysterious yellow, hazy rings on the door of my almost new pearl white car. The owner, Michael, managed to buff the spots/small dings and yellow rings out. Not sure exactly what he did, but he was a miracle worker and there was no charge! I will definitely be going to Michael's for any auto body needs. Highly recommend. In my 65 years of life I've never been as disappointed and angry at a vendors than I am with Michael's Auto and Glass in Castle Rock. It took nearly 3 weeks to get an estimate from scheduling to the actual estimate. My vehicle had very little damage on the truck's tailgate and I went there because the side got smashed and needed an estimate for both sets of damage. My insurance company was just covering the side of the vehicle for repair and I asked the adjuster "Is there any economies that we can realize by repairing both at the same time?" (both the side damage and tailgate) and the adjuster suggested "I was attempting to engage in Insurance fraud ! " I told her I was doing no such thing and am insulted by that suggestion in itself. She told me then she wouldn't prepared an estimate based on my reaction and disappointment. I said, swell please give me another estimator, she said no way. I asked for the owner Michael. I explained to him the exact same request and he declared I was attempting to engage in insurance fraud, I was shocked and angry that they would suggest such a thing. I explained to Michael that it made sense to me that since you're removing the entire bed for repair could there be potential discounts for the tailgate repair. I understood in advance of this appointment that there would be 2 separate repairs performed, one paid by the insurance company and the other we would pay for out right. The 2nd estimator Peter wrote 2 quotes for what I needed and expected. Made the appointment for repair some 6 weeks out. I was even contacted by Michael's last week to remind me of this AM's appointment. As planned I showed up this AM as scheduled for both repairs and was advised by the same Peter that my insurance company denied the claim - wow! I asked Peter what was going on and why we were not notified much earlier, he only stated it was an Insurance problem and to talk to my insurance company (Liberty Mutual). I suspected something else was at play here so I asked him what was really going on, he declared I was a "rude a-hole" to his fellow adjuster and if I needed to know more to contact Liberty Mutual. My sense is that they were aggrieved when I called them out for suggesting I was attempting to commit insurance fraud. I immediately contacted Liberty Mutual to find out if there is or was an issue around our claim, well surprise surprise, there IS NOT AN ISSUE with my insurance carrier, Turns out Michael's Auto and Glass unilaterally decided they didn't want to fix my truck and purposely and with malice. They wanted satisfaction so they wasted 2 months of our time and good will. Liberty Mutual is looking into their practices as it's clear they are minimally unprofessional, create expectations with no intention whatsoever to honor their obligations. In other reviews of this business there have been consistent issues with the front end and estimators being rude, uncivil, unprofessional and in my case in particular were projecting their own malfeasance onto a paying customer. I've contacted my counsel to explore the feasibility of suing Michael's Auto and Glass for contract fraud, punitive business practices and civil rights violations. I've also filed complaints with the BBB, FTC and FCC Stay away from this place, they are rude, petty, punitive and believe they can act in this egregious manner without any accountability. Fair and balanced review. This shop is busy. That is always the excuse they provide for the poor communication, bad service, and delays in getting anything done. An estimate took over two weeks to get to me after I called every other day. Each time, the nice lady promised to have it to me in the next 15 minutes or by the end of the day--which never happened. They promised a three day turn around on my repair. It took over two weeks. The only way I received an update was to call repeatedly. The excuses for the delays were laughable. Liberty Mutual directed me here for the estimate - which was quick, painless and made me think this would be straightforward and easy. Called the day before I was to drop off my truck and confirmed that everything was set, "yep bring it down". Few days later I called expecting to hear some progress - was given "bad news - part we ordered was damaged, good news we have the replace". Yeah ok... not exactly good planning on their part - like didn't you inspect the part when you got it? Skip forward several days - where are we at? Oh it's in the "production shop", should be next Thursday. Skip forward several more days - where are we at? Oh it's in the "production shop" , let me check on it and call back. No call. Next day, where are we at? Oh it's in the production shop, let me check and call back. No call. Later that afternoon, where are we at - production shop, I'll call you back in 5 minutes. No call. Next morning - today - I stopped by in person. And what do I see - my truck - untouched from the time I brought it in. "The problem was...". I got my key back. I know there has been a substantial amount of work due to hailstorm, I don't even mind if things get postponed and dumb mistakes are made. But do not lie. read more

I hit a deer and smashed the front of my suburban. We had it towed to Michale's Auto Body as they were a preferred body shop for our insurance. They said they would get to it in 1 week. 2 1/2 weeks later and multiple calls and voice messages we still had no news about our car. We finally got some results as the insurance company put enough pressure for them to do their job. I can't say enough about the poor communication and awful customer service that they provide. I always try to support local businesses. I realize that they may have more work than they need but if they continue to offer crap service that may not always be the case. read more

For most of us, the pucker factor is pretty high walking into an auto body shop. My insurance company suggested Michael's for an estimate and to be honest, I had never heard of them before. After selling a kidney on the black market, I took my vehicle in for an estimate. Michael himself, I had no idea at the time, was sitting behind the counter and did the estimate himself. A little more background - southern Denver had just been hit with a major hail storm and his shop was packed with other cars. As busy as the shop was, he sat and made small talk with me while he did the estimate. He took his time and addressed every concern I had. He told me they could have the job completed in a day. Pucker factor just went up. I thought there was no possible way "quality" would even enter the equation. Just picked my vehicle up from Michael's and holy crap, they did an amazing job. Not only did they repair the damage within a day, but they detailed my vehicle, and I probably should have kept my kidney - not nearly as expensive as I had thought. Took my car in for an estimate on December 8th and by December 27th the they had not completed the estimate. They said they were overbooked with estimates.....hmm when I took the car back on the 27th I saw about 10 cars in the lot. I took my car back, drove to Cisco's in Parker and had an estimate the same day....hmmmmm thank you Cisco you must believe in service. I would never recommend Micheal's. My mother had an appointment to get her car looked at. When we came in the receptionist was extremely rude trying to tell my mother that she needed to go through insurance and reschedule the appointment. We chose not to use our insurance, much to her distaste. Angela the estimator kept us waiting for over 20 minutes and when she walked over to speak to us, she smelled like a distillery. She had so much gum in her mouth, we could barely understand her, possibly thinking it would take away from the alcohol smell. It didn't. She was as nasty as your receptionist. We've taken my mother's car here in the past and didn't recognize anyone who helped us before. I don't recommend your "new crew". Extremely rude and we felt like we were intruding on their time. I have read some of the negative reviews here but my review will not be one of them. Had a very positive experience just recently with my 2013 Avalanche. Every body shop in the Castle Rock area is booked up solid because of the massive amount of hail damage throughout Colorado. I had a hit and run dent to the back of my vehicle and Michaels was able to get me in fairly quickly It took longer to actually get an estimate. They had my Av back to me 1 day earlier than promised and their head technician, Lee, actually did a better job repairing a fix from damage that was repaired at another body shop. AWFUL PLACE I do not recommend going here at all. We were supposed to get our car back in 2 days and they had it over a week. I am sure we would have not had it back if it weren't for our numerous phone calls made. When we finally arrived to get our car at the time they had told us we were informed that they were going to need another hour to wash the car, absolutely rediculous. Wish I could give more. The damage I came to the shop with was fixed, and fixed well. The issue is I now have driver rear side paint and wheel well damage that they do not want to take responsibility for. I dropped off my truck on a Monday night drop. They moved my truck to a different area and squeezed it in-between other cars. They did not wash it or check it in until noon on Wednesday, which their pictures reflect the damage (because it happened when they stuffed it in diagonally in a different area). I am disappointed that a family owned Castle Rock company doesn't want to take any responsibility for the damage. Trying to convince me it's my fault and that I am trying to take advantage of them is beyond my understanding. Front desk representative was perhaps the most non-communicative and gruff, bordering disrespectful, person I have come across in Castle Rock since moving here in 2005. If you take your vehicle there...take your own time stamped pictures FIRST. Otherwise you are going to be told too bad, so sad. read more

When my wife's car got crunched we went to another body shop in town where they wrote such an outrageous estimate that the insurance company said they were going to total the car! (15-year-old car with a now crunched hood but in otherwise great condition) Julie at Michael's (recommended by my mechanic) looked at it and immediately identified about $2400 of "damage" that was minor cosmetic stuff - I mean REALLY minor! About $3K less than the first estimate and a week later we were back on the road and couldn't be happier. Took my car in for hail damage repairs in September. Was told it would be finished in 2-3 weeks. Called at the 2 week mark to see where they were at and was told it was delayed because they found more damage and needed the adjuster to come back out. Called the next week and was told it was delayed again. Long story short, we called them every week for 9 weeks until my car was finally finished. Every phone call we made the person answering the call said they'd have to check and call us back. Each time this happened we never received a call back and had to call them again, sometimes multiple times, just to get a status. Once we got our car back, the rubber pieces surrounding the windshield flew off on the drive home! We also noticed a few other things that weren't put back correctly. We contacted them about those items and even that took multiple phone calls and trips to their shop to get resolved. Absolutely terrible experience from beginning to end. read more

My husband had used Michael's to repair his Honda and they did a great job. So when my Tesla was side swiped I took it here to see the extent of damages and get an estimate of repairs. They evaluated the damage and gave me a 'worst case' estimate. The car was repaired and ready one day ahead of schedule and they were able to repair the car for about one third the cost as it did not need to be repainted. I am very happy with the results. The customer service at Michael's is also fantastic. They treated me very well, kept me apprised of the progress, and I am happy to highly recommend them. read more

Great body shop! The insurance company was giving me grief and Michaels was professional and understanding through it all. They used all OEM parts for my BMW and it looks like the wreck never happened. The noticed details like my aftermarket clear lenses and made sure my baby was back as I had it!!
