Wow! Where to start?!? My car was totaled in an accident, and I was panicking to find a replacement. I knew that I wanted a Cruz, but trying to find the best deal in the metroplex was proving to be an overwhelming feat. I ran across Classic Chevrolet, and even though I live in east Dallas and didn't want to drive all the way to Grapevine for a car, I found the car that I wanted on their website. I called and spoke with Alan, who told me the car was no longer available, but he'd see what they did have and call me back. I was super bummed, and thought for sure that he'd call me back with something I either didn't want or couldn't afford. I was very wrong. He called me back about 15 minutes later and told me that he found a car, that was almost identical to the car I wanted. It was a demo, but fully loaded, and he could get me into it for less than the car I was looking at. I was a little skeptical of buying a demo, but agreed to come take a look at it. When I arrived, they had the car out and ready for me to test drive. Robert helped me, and I instantly fell in love with the car and it more than exceeded my expectations. With just over 2500 miles knocking almost $4000 off the price, I couldn't pass it up. The only thing the car didn't have that was a must is window tint, which will be done before I pick the car up tomorrow. My concern was financing, not getting a loan, but getting an interest rate that would put the payments within my budget. In steps Rusty in finance. He worked hard to find me the best rate, and came in right at my desired payment. I'm so excited to pick up the car tomorrow, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from all involved. I had been looking to purchase a truck for several weeks. I have continued to run across dealership websites that had a truck shown, but not actually on the lot anymore. I saw a truck on your website and checked the availability of it. To my surprise the truck was actually still on the lot. I received an email from Kevin Gooding very quickly after I sent in the inquiry. I called him and told him of the time constraint that I had on this particular day. Kevin told me that it would not be a problem to get me through the process with some time to spare. When I arrived at the dealership, Kevin was waiting for me and had done exactly as he said that he would (have the truck out front and ready). I was able to take a quick test drive and determined that I liked the truck. I was very happy to see that your company had gotten away from the slow paper credit forms and moved on to the modern electronic versions. This made the entire process go much faster. We were taken over to the main building by Kevin and directed to the waiting room. A short time later, a gentlemen with the finance section came and got us (I apologize for not remembering his name). His process was very quick as well. After we finished with finance, Kevin was waiting to take us back to our new truck. In the short amount of time we were over at finance, the truck was washed, fueled up, parked. There were a few stickers left on the vehicle and some minor touch ups on the cleaning that needed to be completed, but overall not a huge deal. Kevin walked us through pairing our phones and the On-Star welcome call. We finished all of this about 40 minutes before my cutoff time. If you visit this dealership be sure to ask for Sammy A. in the New Truck Sales Department (even if you aren't looking for a truck). Sammy A. was great! He was honest, up front, and knowledgeable. He was never too pushy and was always available to answer my many questions. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had at a dealership. The aspect of my experience that I appreciated the most was that Sammy never treated me like a female who was wasting his time - He knew I was the one making the decisions and writing the check, so he made sure that on every visit his attention was directed towards me and not anyone that I had accompanying me. His respect towards me and effort to make the process simple and quick was greatly appreciated. Walking onto a car lot is something most women dread because of how they are treated and there are far too many car dealerships that need more employees like Sammy who speak to, acknowledge, and treat female car-buyers as equally as they do men. I will definitely be sending business his way and will be a repeat customer of his as long as he's in the business of selling cars. I wish there was negative stars for this review. The sales team was absolutely horrible. Tried charging me over 200 extra on my lease payment. Offered me 3500 less than other dealerships for a 2015 tundra. Wouldn't meet the others value because they "have to buy 2500 in tires and rims for it" (Which I could've got the tires and rims for less paying full price). Tried charging me 3k in taxes to raise my payment, let my wife (who works at a dealership) take to them and set them straight that the taxes should be no more than 1k max. Their reply"oops I pressed the wrong number". Overall worst dealership of any branch. If your buying a gm product go up to James wood in Denton or Decatur and you won't regret it. read more

Strike 1: Service tech putting a dent on my driver door panel. Around this time this year (Early July 2012) I took my car for emergency maintenance where I had to get my lifters and cam replaced. The service technician left a nice ding on my driver door when I picked it up. I took it back to dealer on July 22nd and they started the repair. I received word on 8/7 that car my ready so picked it up. No door ding anymore. Unfortunately on 8/20 when I was giving her a full detail I noticed a big scrape on the inside of my driver door as well as the trunk release button not working. They finally replied on 8/30 that they want me to bring the car back to fix the damage. Turns out the dent repair man drilled and scrapped the inside of my door as well as broke the inside of the panel while repairing the dent. On 9/6 they call me back and say she is ready. I go pick her up and immediately put her back in. They had given it to the dent person to repair and he did a horrendous job on the paint job. I don't even want to call it a paint job because it was not matching or meshed together. Finally I go pick the car up 9/15 and find the steering wheel scratched. By the time they finally got the correct steering wheel it was 10/19. This strike is on the service technician because of the lack of attention and sloppiness from the service technician that added a dent. The service consultant Yrenio did everything in his power to do right on this mistake. Strike 2: Service tech forgetting to check if he had the right fuse box. In late January of this year I went in because my seat warmer was not properly working. Turns out the issue was that the fuse contacts on the fuse box were worn out causing a loss of connection. Note they were able to diagnose this issue with my aftermarket Scocshe dash kit. After driving it a few days I noticed the AC is not blowing. You twist the knob and the fan was not turning on. I took it in on 2/7 and what was their response... Diagnostic lead us to the aftermarket controller to be at fault. We are unable to work on aftermarket products and you will be required to take back to origination of installation for repairs. I reply on 2/7 that it was not the Scosche kit as it was working fine and I had even attempted a 2nd HVAC that I had form Scosche and scratched that off my list but that I would agree to their terms and put my car back to stock. Note that this charge to turn the car back to stock and then reinstall the kit was incurred on me. Do you want to know what the problem was?.... Ineptitude. The fuse block that was replaced by my service technician did not have the pins in the backside for the blower fuse. This is something that the technician should have watched out for when he replaced the fuse box. You want to know how much they refunded me for the removal and add of the Scosche kit... $50 dollars for 2 hrs labor time. It was hard to get this money out of them and they were still holding that for whatever reason their tech tools diagnosed the communication issue but could not find any problems this time around. It's funny that they say they charge 25$ an hour for labor when everyone else charges 90-100. My incurred cost was not $50 but 324$ for 3 hrs of labor and tax. I honestly think the $25 an hour rate is BS but I have no way to prove it. I tried to get them to quote me a separate job via email so I can see their hourly rate but they didn't want to give me price. Note at this point they feel so humiliated by their mistakes that they ask that anytime I bring my car for warranty work that it must be stock. Ladies and gentleman you hear it here that Classic will automatic blame your aftermarket parts without doing proper diagnostics. Again this strike is on the service technician for not making his checks before saying he was done and for Classic to blame and undercut compensation for their mistake. The service consultant Yrenio did everything in his power to do right. Although I don't believe the proper compensation was given the mark of good customer service was there because Yrenio apologized for the technician's mistakes Strike 3: Service tech not bothering to check my brake wear. I had my car in the shop on May 29th for some warranty work for my door lock. After that was resolved I had them to service which was part of my pre paid service package. Everything seemed fine until a few weeks later. It's about mid June and I start hearing allot of noise from my brakes. I email back and forth with the service consultant and avoids a very basic question which gets me upset. I ask "isn't checking the brake wear part of your normal inspection when servicing the vehicle." He keeps avoiding that question until the end and ever goes as far as telling me it was going to be a $59 diagnostic fee for them to check what should have been checked on May 29th. Finally on 6/20 he admits that the 21 pt inspection does include a visual brake inspection to the best of the technician's abilities which sucked read more

In regards to service: I scheduled my appointment on line, which seemed very easy and I got a confirming email. When I showed up on my day and time, nothing....I was not on the list. Someone said, 'Oh, you should have called instead.' My answer to you now is 'No, you have a very easy to use schedule system and I was able to use it at home after work. If the system is not real and the confirming sent out is merely an autobot, then you folks need to fix it. Otherwise, they did put me in the queue and got me my rental car. That all went smoothly. My car was fixed the same day and I was called by my service guy. read more

I have bought cars at various dealers throughout my life and this was by far the easiest purchase that I have ever had. I went to the website first and looked through all the trucks. I found one i liked at got a price qoute. They even gave a price at 915 at night. When i went ther i decided i didn't like the color and they were patient and helped me find one I liked. They stayed late for me and got financing for me with the same bank I use. If you want to buy a Chevy you should at least give them a shot! Good job Classic read more

The Sales staff had aliases, bait & switch, multi levels to confuse even the most prepared customer, they had a line of lies, false " me too" empathy, credit shaming, selling the highest price vehicles with absolutely NO regards to customers best interest. I urge all customers to avoid this dealership, they may be a large dealership but both the New and pre-owned use tactics to disarm, divide and conquer and outright Lies. The finance department is the most deceptive of any I have ever dealt with in on over 30 yrs of buying New and Pre-owned vehicles. The internet salesman I spoke to, Tim, was rudely dismissive with my offer on a Certified Used Truck they have for sale. They were not willing to work with me except "maybe $300 of asking price" and was rude about it even laughing at me on the phone, then proceeds to say "have you had a bad day?!" because I reprimanded him when he laughed at me. They have had this truck for 1 yr minus someone who bought it for only 8 days and returned it. My offer was not excessively discounted, it was fair. I have one in Ca set to buy that negotiated to $3000.00 lower than what he laughed at. Rude entitled dealership that teaches their salesmen to laugh at you when you offer them below asking price for a used truck that the 1st owner didn't even want. Save yourself some money and dignity, find a dealership willing to negotiate with you. Ripping people off because of their lack of knowledge about your profit mongering, is not ok. And laughing at potential clients is possibly the worst experience I've had so far. I buy a lot of cars and never have I been treated so rudely. No thank you. read more

I bought my Tahoe at Classic in April of 2010 and I have taken it to Classic for all maintenance and repairs. I asked them to check my TPMS as I was receiving warning that 1 sensor was not working. They came back with a quote of over $400 to replace 2 sensors. I declined the service and when I started my Tahoe, all of the sensors were offline. I was told that without the replacement, they could not reset the system. I went straight to Discount Tire and they diagnosed the faulty sensor, replaced it, and reset the system for $60. I have taken my Tahoe to Classic for all of my oil changes and service over the past 6 years. I will not be going back. My Dash is cracked, my door handles are peeling and cut people on a regular basis. I will be buying a new vehicle in 2017 but I will not be buying it from Classic Chevrolet again. read more

My sales process went great which is why they get 2 stars but I was sold a product that wasn't available for a business owned vehicle. No biggie. I got the letter from the GAP company saying they were sending the dealer a refund in March of this year. Months go by and I never hear from the dealer, never see the refund. I called to find out and was told they didn't get the check. Called the GAP company and they said yes, in fact they did get the check and they cashed it in March. Suddenly the check is located and I'm told it will be sent to the finance company. I asked Shelly very clearly to make sure that they payment would be an adjustment to the original loan balance (that way I get the interest back that has been accrued for the policy I SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN SOLD ANYWAYS) and she said that's how it will be done, and sent the payment electronically. Of course, it was sent as a loan payment and I'm credited the amount MINUS INTEREST to the loan balance. A PAYMENT AND A LOAN ADJUSTMENT ARE NOT THE SAME THING! I have since called and left multiple message for Shelly to fix her mistake and she will not return my call. Safe to say I will not be buying another vehicle from Classic Chevy since their back end office is obviously not capable of fixing their mistakes. I have waited patiently for 6 months for them to fix this on their own and now I've had to make a dozen calls only for them to not do what they said they would. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

I've purchased 4 Silverado's and a Buick LaCrosse from Classic. Had a car wreck last August, had made one payment on it, took it back in 3 or 4 different times to try to get the truck fixed, it idles rough, there's something loose in the frame in the back, my mileage sucks. Got into an argument with the service manager in the driveway of the dealership, who literally told me there was a pre-programmed miss in the engine to help conserve fuel. I've called the GM, left a message, no response. Waited two weeks called back and asked for the GM's assistant and was given to the Sales Mgr, told her I wanted to speak to someone in their senior mgt, she said she would have one get back with me, several days later I get a call from the same Service Mgr who I had dealt with before who when I asked him if there was something wrong with my truck, his response was the pre-programmed miss and that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I completed 4 different surveys from Classic and GM and burned them in all 4 and didn't get a single response. I have finally decided they don't care about their customers and I'll never buy another vehicle from any Classic dealership. In fact , I went over to Freeman GMC and bought an Enclave for my wife in December. I'm sure they make a lot of people happy, but they've lost any credibility they had with me along with my business. If you are looking for good customer service after puchasing a vehicle, Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine is NOT the place to go. I purchased an Equinox 3 years ago and although my salesman was wonderful, the Service Manager was awful and disrespectful. The lead mechanic was no better. The service manager told me on my last call that "They could not fix my car if they didn't know what was wrong with it." REALLY? So I finally decided to go to the dealership and ask to speak to the head of General Sales. He was with a customer, but they poked their head in and told him I was there to see him. They asked me to have a seat in the waiting area, where I sat for almost 45 minutes. I then decided to go see how much longer it would be, only to find out he had gone to lunch leaving me there to wait. I called and left a message for the head of Classic Chevrolet, but I have yet to hear from him either. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them and I will let everyone know what horrible customer service they offer. read more

In all of my years, service charges have never NOT been disclosed to me. I brought my truck in for what every single website indicated was a Recall for my tail lights. The National Highway Safety Administration even listed it as a recall. After waiting for nearly three hours, I am told that this wasn't a recall, but rather an extended safety bulletin (One that I was never even contacted about) and that my truck was no longer eligible based on age and mileage. Instead, I am advised that the service to perform this is $144! I politely declined as asked just to have my alignment completed instead and was then advised that this repair would only cost $14 because Classic Chevrolet charges $130 just to look at my vehicle. Out of principle, I am telling everyone I know NOT to bring their GM vehicle to this dealership because of the lack of transparency. I had a right to know about this charge - my truck was accepted by the Assistant Service Manager for heaven's sake! It never crossed his or anyone else's mind to tell someone about a $130 'look-at' fee? I could have completed this repair myself with parts from the Parts Department for $20 - but nope - I thought I was doing what I was supposed to do and brought it in for a recall. I've never been so pissed off with a dealership in my life (I bought this truck brand new and at 119,000 miles, was considering another new truck - definitely won't buy any vehicle if I can't trust their service staff.......... read more

Everything seemed okay until the left my car door open for almost 30 mins before some finally got in it . But what I'm most upset about is I felt like I was ripped off. When I went to go pay she said the total was $47 and some change I was kinda confuse because I was told I was getting a 20 dollar discount but I was like okay then she have a paper that said I paid $11.85 wish was a lie every time I ask for my original copy where I paid the $47 and I ask why it was that much I get the run around I dnt mind paying the amount but at least tell me why I'm being charge that amount and why it shows I paid a different amount then what I really paid!!!!!!! read more

All the cars I have bought from Classic over the years have been purchased through Steve Thomas. He has always been honest and upright and I would not consider purchasing from anyone else. Never any pressure, but always ready and willing to provide me with the service everyone should expect from a dealership. I just purchased a new 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. I don't like salesmen that are ready to pounce on you the minute you stop your car and Steve is not one of them. He is also ready to help after the sale in the event you have any problems. In addition when I return for service I always go to Casey Barnes who also provides me with excellent service. I'm sure there are other fine personnel, but I only deal with these two men because they have proven to me that excellent service still exists. read more

7-2-2016 On Saturday morning I went to the first Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas on 2754 N Stemmons.Dallas Tx. I had a CS agent reprogram the remote on car and have a spare key made. They didn't have the key, there was one in Grapevine, he called and their was one available. Then another CS agent reprogramed the remote,(Dallas) and it worked(didn't charge me), went directly to Grapevine (Classic Chevrolet 1101 SH 114 TX 1717 Grapevine TX) .to have the key made. I had the key made, then had the remote reprogrammed there because it didn't work at all, after I left the Dallas station. I told the CS agent there I just replaced the battery in the remote, would it be that long of a wait and she said its going to cost you. She said no we close at 1 o'clock anyway. The agent she gave the work order to looked at it and started throwing his hands up in the air like he didn't wont that particular order. He walked past me went and got an item and went back outside to my car and moved it to the back. I waited over 30 minutes, I asked the front desk agent, how much longer it be, waited another 10 minutes, car came up, payed for it,jumped in, came directly to work, the remote does not work. Paid 71.50, and drove an extra 20 miles for bad Customer Service. ONLY good service there was in that station was the part department( the agent whom made the spare key. J Crain read more

If I could give no stars I would. My complaint isn't with the dealership itself, I didn't buy my vehicle there. But I did take it there after I was in an accident. I dropped my truck off the day of the accident, 1/12/2016. Took a few days to get everything in order as far as insurance and repairs go, I completely understood that. I was assured I would be kept in the loop with everything. Well, that was a false statement. I called multiple times a day to get an answering machine for the man who was supposed to be taking care of me. It was as though he was avoiding me. He finally called me back and again assured me that he would keep me posted and also be done with my vehicle before I needed to return the rental I was in. My insurance, like most, only pays for 30 days. Which should be more than enough time with what I was told as far as the repairs for my vehicle go. The rental was due back on Wednesday 2/10/2016, and I couldn't get a straight answer as to why my truck wasn't done. I returned the rental, and had to borrow a vehicle from someone else so I could get to and from work. I was told on Thursday 2/11/2016 that my truck would be complete and ready for pick up on Friday 2/12/2016. I didn't hear anything on Friday by lunch so I called Brendan, more than once. I wasn't the least bit surprised when he didn't answer any of my calls, nor return them. Saturday I called, again, no answer and no call back. So Monday 2/15/2016 I decide to leave work a little early and stop by to check on my truck since I couldn't get any answers from the person who was supposed to be taking care of me. To my surprise I walk in the front door to the body shop area and he has his feet propped up on his desk and he's cutting up with a couple of co-workers in his desk area...please keep in mind that I have already called twice that same day and heard nothing back. I ask him the status of my vehicle and ask him why he hasn't returned any of my phone calls, he can't give me a straight answer on anything. Today, Wednesday 2/17/2016 my truck was ready for pick up. Brendan himself left me a message to pick up my vehicle. I arrived to do so and he was nowhere to be found, the "front desk" woman was just as rude and disconnected as she was on Monday when I had come in. She asked me for my deductible and said nothing else. Ran my card, sat down my receipt and walked away. You would think after having my vehicle for over a month, giving me the run around for that long, and being dishonest the least she could do is thank me for my business. I guess Classic Chevrolet of Grapevine doesn't really care who works in the body shop. Rude and dishonest people are all they could get over there. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there for any kind of body work. Sad part is, I was in just a few months prior and didn't have such terrible service... read more

Wouldn't go back. Guy acted like I couldn't buy a new truck, because I had my own financing coming in, talked down to me like I am a child. Just because you cant bump me on financing and make a few extra bucks you lost out on selling a car. Oh well they sell a lot of cars so one deal wont make or break them, but think...if they treat you this way before the sell how are they going to treat you after. So I went elsewhere and bought a new Silverado from Autonation. More straightforward and no running back and forth bs. read more

I was looking at 2 different Corvettes, I contacted the dealership multiple times to make sure they had them and if the internet price was different if I wanted to finance & I was assured that is was not & that both vehicles could be financed (meaning no cash cars) so I drove an hour to get up there and dealt with Richie Lopez for about a whole 10 minutes...First to find out that one of the cars wouldn't you know had just been purchased right before we walked in by an elderly couple paying cash & the other car....yes you know that one ended up being a "cash" only deal because it was older, I said Ok, what's the bottom dollar on that car, he printed the paperwork off was gone less than 2 minutes & said the price is what its listed for...they wouldn't even come $1 off a car they had had on their lot over 20 days & was 11yrs old...I walked out and will NEVER recommend that dealership at all....lies all they way around.. read more

I am not one to write a bad review, but feel this is worth mentioning. We had a great experience with the purchase of our vehicle and Chris Pepper in Internet Sales was great at getting the deal to go through. Then....after the sale when he was contacted about whether something could be done to the infotainment system to be compatible with the phone, he lashed out. I left a voicemail at 10 AM on Monday morning since the prior Friday he said he would check with the service department at 7 AM. I don't know why he even returned the call when he wasn't at work yet but he had such a bad attitude saying he wasn't even in yet. It seemed like he felt he was CYA saying it did include Bluetooth and that was all we asked about. I wasn't even trying to say we didn't get what we thought we were getting. We figured it was an option we didn't pay for and just wanted to know what it would cost to add it. Then he said he was pulling up right now and would go right to the service department and ask them and would call me right back. He did call back with the service department and determined it was best for us to bring the car into the service department "not to him, but to the service department." It was just a typical experience of once the sale goes through, go to H_ _ L. He has a real attitude problem. He talked to me like I was someone he knew and disliked. VERY unprofessional, especially since I never raised my voice so as to not provoke him further. There goes any repeat sales for him from us or anyone else we know! I don't know how the other sales people are, but recommend staying away from him. I am running the risk of him contacting me and lashing out again by posting this! By the way, service department was great explaining options to try to get the phone to sync since it may just be that the device is not compatible. This also could all have been eliminated if Chris knew the product he was selling. read more

just got my new BOLT! love Buzz Smith and his "electric avenue"

If you are looking for the worst customer service from a sales representative, this is the place to go for service. With our current vehicle we paid for service for every oil change, tire rotation, etc. for our truck, but the sales person we used most treated me such disrespect when I complained about a ridiculous charge that should have been covered by our service warranty anyways. He told me "you voted for Hillary". This was absolutely inappropriate and yelling at a woman in the middle of a dealership is NOT appropriate. We ended up meeting with the sales manager on site and did not have to pay for the charge (for which we received no service anyways), but will NEVER return to Durant Chevrolet again. We will also NEVER purchase another Chevrolet every again... even though this was our third purchased from various Durant dealerships. This bad experience was after service told us we needed a new oil tank because it was leaking, but when we got a second opinion we were told this was not true. Be warned. read more

purchased a used vehicle from a dealer in bedford and within a week had a problem with the a/c. still under bumper to bumper warranty so i was forced to take it to a chevy place for repair. called donna and she said come in first thing the next morning. when i arrived they summoned her for me and she was quick to get things rolling. i waited in your comfortable and convenient waiting area for just under a couple of hours and thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary coffee. donna came out in less than 2 hours to let me know I was all set and ready to go. donna was friendly, helpful, and truly provided exceptional service. i will certainly choose classic for any future service needs that may arise. almost regretting i didnt purchase a vehicle from them to begin with. read more

Like other reviews here I was sold a used car that might have had damage when they sold it to me. Since it had been a while since I bought the car but still within warranty I took it back to see what kind of agreement we could reach. Long story short - they refused to repair my car or even negotiate on cost sharing.I have never been treated so horrible in my entire life. One of the used car managers came out and without saying anything just laid into me about some repairs I was trying to negotiate. At one point he was yelling at me in the lobby before taking me to his office. I literally cannot imagine anyone in this world treating anyone this poorly. 1 of my 4 service requests was completed and when I called to talk to the g&m about my experience I left a voice mail. I still haven't heard back from them. I will never buy another car from them nor would I ever recommend anyone else doing so. This is 100% factual and has not been embellished at all. At one point in the service area the two folks helping me sat in the office chairs giving me no where to sit. Not once did they even offer me a seat. I was left to stand against the wall while they stretched their legs out and enjoyed the air conditioning. I even took a picture of it to send to a relative in the car business because I knew he wouldn't believe me. He was appalled. There is one star here because you aren't allowed to give someone zero stars. read more
