1/4 Lb. Burger
Lawrence H.

Got the 1/4 lb butger ($6.99) and a large order of fries ($4.84). The burger was tasty. Good sized. Comes with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and thousand island sauce. The fries were golden brown. Was expecting the fries to be more crispy based on the appearance. My guess is that they use a denser version of fries. Plenty of space for dinning.

Breakfast burrito was worth a try. I loved that it was not egg heavy, great amount of toppings and the bacon was nice and crisp. The only thing I wished it had was a better salsa. I didn't try the corned beef hash but heard it was pretty good.

Teriyaki Chicken plate $9.99 Surprise Special. Great deal for a nice salad and tasty Teriyaki Chicken over rice.

I saw the sign outside offering a Surprise Special for $9.99 so went in and ordered the Teriyaki Chicken plate. Salad is nice crispy and a flavorful teriyaki chicken over rice. Service was nice and I ate in and it didn't take long for the food. Place is clean and has a good amount of tables to dine in with outside seating on warmer days. I'll come back and try more of their menu.

You just now departed the beach, traveled a couple of blocks, hunger has kicked in - sun, water and sand has a tendency to do that - and there you go, a nice friendly small strip mall burger joint to address your immediate needs. The burgers are substantial, juicy with that bite to bite beefy flavor. The buns offer a nice soft support system for your toppings and condiments of choice. They use fat fries and that's a plus. It's a popular breakfast and lunch spot for workers in the area. Service is friendly.

Classic style diner serving up the classics just the way you want them. Make sure you make it in for their Daily Special and get two burgers for $9.99!

The Service here is so friendly! The dining room is clean and they offer plenty of seating. I was astonished by how many menu items they offer. There is truly something for everyone here. My bacon burger was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The fries are delicious and the ranch is excellent ! It's honestly everything I hoped it would be! The carne asada quesadilla was good but VERY heavy on the (super finely diced) white onion. It's frankly too much to pick out if you don't like onion. The red salsa they offer is Heavenly.

A sample of the clean dining room. Those are my cups on the table.

While waiting for my iPhone to be repaired at Custom iPhone and Repairs, I walked next door to Classic Burger. Upon entering, I was instantly greeted and welcomed. The menu has a variety of items to choose from, so it took me a minute to decide. I finally developed on the chicken fried steak and eggs. Served with your choice of potatoes and toast. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh. The dining room was clean and staff walked around cleaning and preparing tables for other guests. It was nice to see everyone supporting the restaurant.

Classic burger serves classic food. Open early. Great variety. Friendly staff. Old school combos and plates. Been coming here since I was a kid. Close to beach and nice cool breeze to beat the heat.

Mexican plate special!

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, Classic Burger got you covered. Korean, Mexican, Japanese, and of course the good 'ol Classic burger can be had here, all made to order. Ordered the corned beef hash plate. It came with 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Also ordered was the early bird special french toast, it included bacon and 2 eggs. Both solid breakfasts! $27 and some change for 2 entrees and a coffee. Will definitely come back to try other items. Gotta love Classic Burger and the variety offered, a Redondo Beach staple for 30+ years.

The burgers would've been pretty good aside from a hair being INSIDE the burger patty. I also tipped 20% as I usually do to ensure my food is done well & also because I've worked as a cook so I tend to always try to add extra for small businesses. We were offered a remake or a different item but unfortunately I had pulled the hair from in my mouth and the rest of it from the remainder of the meat patty. It put me off so I requested and received a refund for my item. Hopefully in the future health & safety protocols are followed more strictly. The rest of the meal (fries) were good.

Chilli cheese burger, and fries.

I love coming here, as the food is consistently great. The brisket is really tasty and they give you a good portion of it. Soup is always hot, not lukewarm which I appreciate. I genuinely think their sullungtang is the best I've had! I was really happy that this time, they had purple rice. The past few times, they only had white rice, so this was such a great change! Not sure why they were out of the purple rice for so long, but glad that it's back! Banchans are great with unlimited refills! Service: the couple that runs this restaurant are welcoming with good customer service. Parking: This place is located in a plaza, so there are a lot of parking spots available right out front which makes it convenient. Overall, if you like Korean food and sullungtang, I would definitely recommend you come here!

It's very spacious, lots of seating, the service is quick and polite. It's a good spot for hanging out with friends. Their sullungtang is a solid code if you like a creamy bone broth. They give you your own salt, pepper, etc to flavor to your hearts content. I tried the mixed haejangguk for the first time and loved it. I took a gamble because it is ox blood, tripe, brisket, and INTESTINES. there's other stuff in there but that was the highlight. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Ill definitely be ordering this again! Its got a small level of spice so it is perfect for a cold day. Definitely coming back!

Second, Haejangguk was quite blend yet reeking meat smell (not sure how else to describe this, wondering if the meat was getting old). Blood was not fresh either imo. Third sundae soup, kinda disappointing seeing only glass noodle filled sundae. If they used real sundae as well, the soup wouldn't have been so blend. Servers were kind and service was fast thus 2 stars.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.
