Trustworthy, honest, reasonable. Can fix problems other Subaru mechanics can't. Worth the drive to get professional Subaru mechanics.

These fellows helped diagnose and completely fixed the drain hose to my A/C on their lunch break in the pouring rain. Thanks!

Having had a terrible service experience at Mike Shaw in Denver I was really looking for a shop I could trust.

This shop was taken over as an expansion of a Toyota shop down the hill. Molly the receptionist is…read moreawesome. Mason the owners son seems to be good young man. Scott the owner is a hot head that yells and hides behind he is "looking out for his work crew". SITUATION: Took my 16 year old daughter's Toyota Highlander there for a new timing belt and new water pump. Checked the car in just fine, said hello to Mason (he's one of the mechanics there as well as the owners son) and left. Touched base with Molly around lunch to check progress as we were determining whether we would need to drive her to work. Molly said that the techs were out to lunch but she knew they had questions they needed answered presumably by Scott the owner. That was a little unnerving as I know changing a timing belt surely isn't just an oil change but it's also not a major motor rebuild. I said ok and we agreed to touch base a little later for an update. I called back later for the agreed update call. On that call I asked how was progress going and Molly stated it was going ok, that the "new guys" are working in it b/c Mason was busy with his own work. That put another doubt in my mind. My daughter hasn't had her license very long and with all the recent and continuous wrecks (some with fatalities) I wanted reassurance that I had qualified folks working on her car. I don't have lengthy experience with this shop. I can just imagine something going wrong and the motor dying, her loosing power steering, loosing most of her breaks and possibly not finding a place to pull off the road. Thats why I needed reassurance. I tried to approach this conversation as a dad asking safety questions. Molly said Scott the owner was there and she put me in hold while she went and got him. Mason the son picked up instead and tried to reassure me that he did have input and was overseeing the "New Guys". I asked if the "New guys" were just guys they hired off the street, if they had any training certifications, reiterated what Molly said about Mason "that he had his own projects" and that the "New Guys" were working on it. He told me that he did. I said ok because I didn't just want some Homeboys working on this car without oversight. Mason and I put my fears at ease and we scheduled a pickup soon. Within minutes Scott the owner called me back, started confronting me over and over about how he was the end all be all and that everything went through him. He only had faith in his warranty because everything had to clear his filter.., Ugh!!! OK Scott,, all good. Then he challenged me on my right to ask to get clarity on his service after the prompts that Molly gave me about "new guys", had to get "questions answered" about doing the job all the while raising his voice and talking over me to a point I had to say his name 5 or 6 times to even stop his tirade (while he was on speaker phone as I drove my daughter to work). He kept bringing up me using the word Homeboy as if it were a derogatory thing. If he would have been on the call that I had with his son he might have had better context. I asked if the new guys were just guys coming off the streets like any old homeboy or did they have any automobile mechanic training. How was I to know. I was just told new guys that needed questions answered and that Mason was busy on his own work. I don't think I've ever had someone treat me so disrespectfully. This was not about protecting his work crew. This was about him trying to "win" a conversation (with volume). I had every right to visit with him to be reassured of my daughter's safety. This guy was a loose cannon toward me. I've lived up the hill for 35 years and always try to reward local companies. I actually told Molly when I picked up the car (while someone was peaking out the curtains like a child) that I'd like to clear the air with Scott. She said he already left. I gave him an option (through a message to Molly) to call me to clear the air (again) today , the next day. Of course nothing. This guys an ass, too bad bc people around him look to different. I don't deal well well with Power Trippers! I would avoid Scott and this shop like the plague. There are too many choices up the hill now.
