While no car repairs are ever cheap, I found their prices to be fair, and did not try to "diagnose" and "repair" and frivolous services, like many auto repairs are known for. In fact, they cautioned me on things I knew needed replacement like my brakes, that were separate from my check engine light problem, and took care of noticing and replacing my rear windshield wiper free of charge. I am now having my engine light on again, and under the warranty he is helping again, to take care of it, and was told by phone that they will assist with rental reimbursement as well, since their loaners are limited to 35 miles/day, and my driving needs exceed that. Also Kevin called me an Uber to the rental place! I will update this post once I hear more from the diagnoses of the light coming back on. But still very satisfied with their service, attention to detail, and friendly, and trustworthy service.

1 star Took my 2004 350Z to Z Auto for the A/C. Clutch…read morewasn't kicking on. Paid $199.99 on 5/23. Invoice #19121. What actually happened: They diagnosed a bad compressor. Invoice says: "low side high, high side low, compressor is weak and would need to be replaced." So I bought a compressor and did it myself. When I got under there, the high side line at the condenser wasn't even clipped in. Spring lock was just hanging there disconnected. Their invoice says "System holds vacuum. No visible leaks." You can't pull vacuum with the system open. That's impossible. Also says "NO INSPECTION PERFORMED CLEARANCE TO LOW"... the A/C ports are right next to the brake master cylinder. Under the hood. Don't need a lift. Also says "Electric fans never kick on." Did the IPDM test at home. Both fans work. Come on with temp too. [video attached] I put the new compressor in, hooked up the line they missed, and brought it back. Now they say it has "no signal" and want more money to diagnose it. Also told me I only paid for a recharge, not diagnosis -- even though the compressor diagnosis is printed right on the invoice I paid for. So let me get this straight: I paid $200 for them to miss a disconnected line, call it a bad compressor, then charge me for a service the invoice says they didn't do. Now that I fixed their mistake, they want more money. also was told it was to hit to work on my car, what am I paying for then ? Would not recommend this shop to anyone especially people with 350z/ g35, they dont know what their Doing, go to Rivera auto shop they will actually work on your car!!

I took it to another shop in Lakewood, who finally destroyed the engine, look up 5 Star Automotive in Lakewood. These shop get away with it because mechanics are not moving into Lakewood and they know they will get more business anyway. Also, realize that in CO there are zero consumer protections against bad mechanics, the only thing you can do is take them to court.

After about five minutes he game me an 1800 dollar estimate. The estimate was lower than I expected. We made an appointment to have the bumper and supports replaced next week. I found this auto body shop to be simple, direct and pleasant. I will update this review after the work is done.
