Don't bring your Tesla or Rivian here. They don't have low-profile jacks and will lift the Tesla with a flat lift that will damage your plastic trim and may damage the battery. They have no lifting pucks for Rivians and said they would just use a flat rubber puck directly on the plastic trim or the battery to lift it. When I said they can't do that they didn't seem too concerned or cared. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Horrible just Horrible!! Had a screw in tire. Made appointment, showed up next day. They pulled the screw and then told me that they couldn't repair because of the location of the screw. It was 5:30pm and said it was leaking and that I needed new tires and they could get them the next day. $1700. I asked why did you pull it if you knew it was in a location that couldn't be fixed. Should have asked if they could pull before doing so not to set someone up. Oh but it gets better!!! Took vehichle to discount 3 days later after no air pressure leak and they tested tire and there was no leak and no need for new tire. So bottom line. They will set you up and lie to your face and try and put you on the spot. Really hard to support local businesses in the mountains when you try to use people. Never again!! Shame on you!!! I should have known better. I've had two bad experiences prior. They would not rotate my tires that I purchased at the big o in conifer. Was told it wasn't worth there time. The second time they wouldn't patch my tire that I bought there. They said it was too close to the edge. The tire were new. I paid for the tire protection. So I say OK, we'll let's get a new tire. Then they told that this set of tires were discontinued so if have to buy a whole new set of tires. Mind you there tires were almost new. So I take the car into another shop. This new shop patched me up no problem. Now for the latest, get a punctured tire with a screw in it. The other shops were all busy so I decided to take a risk and go to big o. They said they patched my tire, but they did not. I was told my air pressure sensors were bad. Strange because they were working prior. Wake up with a flat tire. I look at the tire, and there's the screw still on the tire. They did nothing! Just tried to up sell me parts I didn't need. So I take it to another shop. They patch me right up. Guess what my tire pressure sensors were just fine. Big o is a big no. Will not be back. They are either incompetent or are scammers. Maybe a bit of both. So do not go to big o in conifer. read more

Hire people that have a mechanical background. They did a oil change on my 2017 VW Jetta and they listed several different things that were leaking oil. Got it home and saw it was leaking oil on the driveway. Afraid to drive it had a mechanic find the leak and found that the oil plug was the only leak. With a VW Jetta you cannot use the the crush seal twice it needs to be replaced. They used a copper crush seal and it leaked. VW uses a aluminum crush seal that needs to be replaced at each oil change and needs to be torqued to 22 ft. Pounds. I paid the mechanic 100.00 dollars for labor and new parts. My granddaughter last name Freyta paid for the service. read more

NEVER come here. They put on the rotors wrong causing immediate damage, broke the brake caliper leaking brake fluid, disconnected the emergency brake and refused to fix!! Lol- they even told me the e-brake wasn't working because the brake fluid was low!! It's MECHANICALLY operated as EVERY car's e-brakes are. The servvice provided was the replacement of a rear wheel stud on a 2006 Toyota Tundra 4WD truck. The cost was $178. Conifer Automotive bid $140 for the same service. Stevinson Toyota West bid $95 for the same service. I needed the repair to be done immediately so that I could safely travel. All the contacts, service and time were acceptable, it was just by far the most expensive. read more

Forever Grateful to Big O Tires! We weren't far outside Denver heading to a family wedding in Buena Vista when the front tire went flat on us. It then started raining. Luckily we could hobble off 285 into Conifer and made it to a King Soopers parking lot. We soon found out the can of Fix-a-Flat wasn't going to cut it -- we had heavy, precious cargo. The minivan was loaded down with all the booze for the weekend celebrations! The woman in the car parked next to us saw our predicament and suggested we call Jerry Schroppel, the owner at Big O. It was nearing closing time but the Big O rep said "Come on over quick. We have your tires in stock." Big kudos to Jerry & Co.! The team got all 4 new tires on and finished up for us in 20 minutes (or less). The service was great and the prices were very fair. Being from Florida, and in over a barrel, we thought the costs would be crazy high, but not at all. Wow, just wow! Also, thanks to Beth in the black Mercedes parked next us for the recommendation! Slippery - The Big O in Conifer, Colorado is under new management and be careful is all I can say. That is not a positive change. Why don't these businesses realize that when they slip in things customers don't want or need, that it costs them thousands of dollars in future business? I have five cars and will never take any of them back to Big O (any Big O) as a result of this visit. It cost me $200 but it will cost them $thousands. Any future visit will be limited to included services such as included and required "free" tire rotations, repairs and alignment checks. Date of Visit To Store: March 30, 2023 Purchase: Four brand new Big O tires for a Chevy Silverado. Amount spent: $1,543.00 4X4 All Season/Terrain Truck Tires and full synthetic large Oil Change, *alignment, *nitrogen, *TPMS rebuild *none of these were requested A I said above but warrants repeating, I own five cars all of which need tires and I will not be returning to this store ever again and nor will I recommend them to anyone. Expensive lesson learned for me and for Big O Tires because I'll never buy from them again. "Slippery" is the term I would use when working with this store. It harkens back to the days of snake oil and hucksters. Some was my fault for not looking more closely when the salesman was quickly going down the list of items with his highlighter but in a small town at a store I've bought from six times in the past, I made the mistake of trusting the salesman and not looking as closely as I should have. I've learned a lesson that will serve me well in the future. Several services and products were added to the bill that I did not request, did not realize were being added and that were not explained to me. The total extra cost amounted to about $200.00. 1.) Alignment: An alignment was added to bill only if needed. I asked to be notified if it was needed but they performed the alignment without notifying me. After driving home, I found that the alignment was not only unneeded but now my steering wheel was cocked to the right. I now have to go back to have that resolve. 2.) The alignment they conducted was off by about 2 degrees on the front end. I had to take it back two days later and when they checked it they advised that yes, the front end was off by 1.9 degrees and had to redo the alignment. 3.) Nitrogen - They added Nitrogen to my bill without telling me and without explaining that they were doing so. I did not want Nitrogen but it was added without clarification at a cost of $40.00 4.) I had an oil change done and they did not reset the vehicle computer to reflect the oil change. 5.) They did not reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) so my TPMS showed the wrong tires at each location. Fortunately I have a tool and had to reset them all myself in my own garage. 6.) TPMS rebuild kit was added without my knowledge or explanation. 7.) The services took over three hours in what I was told would be an hour. 8.) The store did not communicate with me relative to the alignment, nitrogen, rebuild kit or other services that were conducted without my understanding. My fault for not questioning it up front but the shop across the street was much more transparent when I bought tires for my Jeep from them the next day. Again, lesson learned. 9.) The second day following the installation of new tires, I picked up a piece of metal. I took the tire back to have it repaired and while they did do the repair for no charge, of course they would not replace the Nitrogen they charged me for two days earlier but only put regular air back in the tire when it was on their dime. It could have been worse though because I did have all of my fluids checked on this 4X4 Chevy Silverado and they told me that the fluids looked good. Had they told me that they needed changing, I would have approved that with brakes and other consumables so at least now I get to give my money to a different local small business for those upcoming service needs. They did give me a $50 veteran discount which helped ease some of the pain. My advice is to check the list of charges very carefully and only and make sure you want what they're selling. Be careful, they're slippery. read more

my wife pulled into shop with a nail in the tire. She asked representative if they could repair the tire? He asked her if she had an appointment? How stupid was this question? They told her to leave the car and they could get to it in a couple of days... I was about 30 miles away working. After she relayed to me what Big O told her, I could not understand the lack of caring. She drove across the street to the gas station. I installed the spare tire and went home, about 20 miles away. This shop clearly needs to be schooled on customer service... we will never be back read more

First experience getting 4 new tires went fine. Second experience, not so well. We needed one tire due to a blow out on 285. First they tried the old, "we will put on the rim" nonsense then let me put on the car. What am i paying them for? My wife went in to get the new tire put on the car, one tire. 90 minutes and still not done as they only have one tire guy working. I had a screw in one of my tires that I bought at this location. My tire was losing air due to that. I was told I could schedule an appointment 2 days later! Obviously it wasn't safe to keep driving with this damaged tire, but they refused to repair it. I went across the highway and got it fixed at Mobile1, no problem for them. Of course it came at a charge, but I rather pay for safety and excellent customer service than waiting 2 days for free repair that comes at a risk. I used to like the Conifer Big O Tires, but not any more, worst customer service ever! I won't be back, Mobile1 is the place to go! read more

Fast, friendly, reasonably priced. I called to check on pricing for some specific tires and the front desk staff was very nice and helped me figure out the specific tire I wanted was actually not made in my size. A few phone calls and some research later, I decided to order the tires I wanted through Big O. They had them in-house within a business day. I got there at about 8:30 am and they were done before 9 am; I had 6 tires that I needed mounted and 2 people stopped by during this time for courtesy air pumps. I'm sure 8:30 on a Tuesday is probably not their peak time, but my experience was quick and pleasant, and its clear their staff doesn't dawdle. The front desk guys were friendly and made conversation with me while I waited. Everyone seemed very kind so I am a bit bamboozled by previous reviews. When my husband called a few months ago to check on pricing for his own tires, he also had a similarly pleasant experience with the desk staff and getting help researching tires. We'll be back next time we need tire services! read more

This Conifer Big-O is my least favorite business in town. I rolled in to purchase tires for my Honda Pilot. When I left, three of my tire pressure monitors were failed and then I checked tire pressure with my own quality tester. One tire was 47psi and another was setting at 22psi! The other readings were in the thirties. My owners manual recommends 32psi. I thought about little old ladies leaving this joint with such badly inflated tires and the danger that would pose. The installation was Very fast and careless. Jerry, the manager dismissed my tire monitor failures as being an old car and that they don't last forever. He would only replace them at normal cost. I left the store and never went back. Discount Tire in Lakewood was sympathetic, replaced the three damaged sensors at a really nice price and balanced the tires properly. Find another tire shop. The staff is rude & always seem like we're putting them out! My first flat repair was free (like every other shop down the hill). My second flat repair they charged me $27 without telling me there would even be a charge. Also, when I had my winter tires put on they said it would be a $80 charge since I didn't buy the tires from them (only because their price was $200 more than other shops). When I picked up my vehicle it was over $100 charge! They said my tires were expensive so there was an additional charge!! Their reasoning was if they damaged a tire they would have to replace it. Needed my seasonal tires changed, called around other places. Some told me 2-3 hour wait, some told me 2-3 day, some told me a week wait (to change my tires?!) Stopped in at Big O and they had me in and out the door in 25 minutes. I stupidly lost my tire lock and they even got my tires off without it. This shop is a big MEH and has been as long as I can remember. The front office staff is not friendly or helpful. I felt like such an inconvenience during my recent visit to get snow tires installed. I do my best to support our local community but I'll go elsewhere next time. Communication is lacking. The lady who answers the phone and works the counter was forgetful and nonchalant. Some guy- maybe the manager or owner, spent my entire visit chomping his lunch at the front desk and complaining about the prices of competitors. They didn't check my all season tires as requested multiple times and didn't put them in the car before I left. My recent visit was pretty short, thankfully. I have been there for hours on prior occasions. They don't take appointments during the week so plan on waiting. I go where my business is appreciated. I will pay extra for customer service and to support local businesses. Simple customer service goes a long way, like "Please" and "thank you" - especially in a small town where you may be losing business to competitors down the hill. I have been a long time customer of Big O Tire, but this week was the last time. My wife picked up a nail that ended up ruining a relatively decent Michelin LTX AT2. The spare turned out to be flat also so the I left written instructions for my wife to purchase 2 new Michelin LTX AT2s, put one on the spare and run both new tires on the front & take the older LTX AT2 & put it in the spare position. I returned home to find they had left the crappy / old Bridgestone spare still on & back in the spare position & they had thrown away the perfectly fine left front LTX AT2!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention they scratched both plastic Toyota hubs. Previously they badly scratched 3 of 4 ASA rims on our Mini Cooper & lost one of the large aluminum hub nuts. I was quoted on the phone $40 to resurface two front rotors; When I went in they said it was $60. When I said I was quoted $40, they denied anybody would have said that. Since I was there and hungry for lunch, I let them do the service while I went and ate. The work was done when I got back and there was an additional $8 charge for Shop Supplies. Having been in the auto repair equipment business, I am familiar with shop supplies, but most shops charge around 2%; This was 14%. I didn't question it because I figured if they wanted to rip me off TWICE on one repair order ($60 vs $40) and (14% aka $8 for shop supplies), then I was NEVER going back there again. We mtn folks try and try and try to support our local businesses, and time and again I've been overcharged or scammed in one way or another. read more

Quick service, great prices, excellent customer service! I have a funky tire sensor, so I often stop by for a courtesy tire pressure check/fill. The staff is always super friendly and it never takes more than 15 minutes. We also purchase our regular/summer tires & studded tires for the winter as well as getting them exchanged/mounted. I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes for this service no matter how busy it is. The prices are always reasonable (way better than anywhere in town) and they are honest. I leave knowing my vehicles have been properly serviced and are safe for my long commutes to and from work. I have always had excellent customer service provided by this local business and will continue to go to them for all my tire needs. read more

They are HORRIBLE at customer service and do not know what it means to TRULY serve the customer or what it means that the CUSTOMER signs your pay check. Also, their warranty does NOT disclose everything and they WILL find a way NOT to cover your tire. So do not purchase warranty, waste of $8.00! Secondly, I was dealing with an older man in his 40s and he had the audacity to "jump" in the air while blowing a "raspberry" and say I do not know what I am talking about I have only been doing this for x years!
