All shoes I've bought here have held up wonderfully and are super comfortable. The reason I rave about this company though is the customer service I received while making an international shipping order from their website. They were able to deliver to a tiny hotel in Lake Como, Italy, within a relatively limited time frame. They even called the hotel to ensure the package arrived when they couldn't reach me by cell phone. I couldn't be more grateful for their diligence.

The idea is simple: TK Maxx buys clothes at the end of their line for peanuts and sells them for just above peanuts to the public. Their selling point is brands for a lot less, which is true and attractive enough in itself. For me however, as a gentleman of some height who struggles to find trousers in other stores and then generally gets ripped-off when he does, TK Maxx is a God-send. Not only do they buy loads of US brands which do my size, but they also very conveniently organise all their clothes by size, meaning I can simply stroll up to the rack in question and then sort through all the clothes that are likely to fit me in one fell swoop. No trekking to each store for the same outcome. AND it's super-cheap, typically £30 for trousers, which for a tall guy, is hard to find. So TK Maxx, I salute you. May you long find business in these here shores.

It has items on the upper scale and more expensive items than the other TK Maxx, so although you can find some good stuff, there is less choice than on the other branches (because of the size store and the limited departments)

They have a plethora of cheap shoes ranging from under a tenner to just above 30 quid. Their range of styles are basic, but very broad as well. Not my favourite shoe store, as I like anything below my ankles to be screaming with awesomeness, but I guess it's worth a look.

For t-shirts from £2 it is really cheap and an easy way to build variety into your wardrobe. There is a huge amount of variety and a quick turnover of styles and clothes. Nevertheless, you will find someone wearing clothes that look familiar in London! The Oxford Street store is enough to put you off shopping there for life the number of people who invade it daily is quite extraordinary and the queues for the tills snake their ways around the store. The Tooting store is heaven in comparison. Although far smaller, it has a very good selection of all their ranges. You can get through the queue in 5 minutes on most days. Even when it is busy it is not comparable to the Oxford Street version. Generally, it is a very pleasant experience and gives you access to the cheap deals without the anarchy!
