Like a typical commuter station center, it also offers services like massage in a chair service, shoe shines service, flowers , etc. Only one thing that turned me off about this place, I did not like that I need to pay a coin to get into their restrooms.

Emma Hope is mostly known for her divine wedding shoes, but she also happens to make some pretty amazing boots as well as all sorts of lovely dress shoes. I eventually ended up buying three pair of shoes -- I know, I know, I cried when I got the bill too -- and the boots are some of my favorites ever. I never fail to get compliments on them and even after over three years of use, they still look amazing. (I take good care of them though and have a great English cobbler in my neighborhood who makes sure of it.) These are some of the nicest, best made shoes you will find anywhere. It's probably a good thing that she doesn't have any shops in the US (yet).

The Tricker's shop on Jermyn St. is quite small with original wooden fittings that probably date from Victorian times. The knowledgeable salesman was helpful in advising the correct size which fit perfectly. (I have wide feet so sometimes hard to find a good fit). The sales assistant told me that the design of this brogue hasn't changed in over a 100 years and they can rebuild the shoe mutliple times when the soles wear out. The shoes I purchased can be worn for business and also when not at work and still look good. They are the most expensive shoes I have bought but at the same time the best shoe purchase I ever made. Completely comfortable, robust and I can tell they will always look good even as they age. Tricker's is a family run business that is 180 years old with craftsmen made shoes that are made in England (wow, something that is NOT made in China). High quality super durable leather and hand stiched soles. You can see and feel the difference. For me it's a perfect combination of tradition and timeless style, not fashion. I was so pleased with my purchase, I went back a few months later and bought a second pair in the sale in a different colour. Three years later the shoes are still as good as ever (soles might need refurbishing soon but that's testament to the miles they have put in).

Don't be put off by the title: this no-frills shop sells classic, timeless styles (think Brogues and Oxfords) by some top quality brands, such as Loake, as well as workwear, including Dr Martens (though I personally think the quality of 'docs' has gone down-hill of late - don't worry, that have other brands). The shoes aren't seconds either, so the discount is genuine. Strutton Ground itself is always worth a look - it's an odd survivor, with the feel of a small, slightly down-at-heel town centre street, right off busy Victoria Street. (well a happy customer with a pair of £20 brown leather boots..!) The prices cannot be disputed- cheap, cheap, cheap..! And since my boots are still in one piece after a year so the quality of their shoes is good too! Their sales are really very good, with the prices of most items halved as well as the shop's layout. All the shoes are arranged and organised in paris, in size order, ready to try. I know I was surprised too! Its definately worth a visit if your looking for a bargain AND it sells good jewlery too!
