Prior to your visit I'd keep your expectations low on the quality as most everything is plastic and inexpensive fast fashion items, but for a quick stop while you're in town, it's not too bad and they have fitting rooms so you can try things on. We did not love the UK law where although Primark opens at 11:30am on Sundays, you can't purchase anything until 12pm, so if you visit on a Sunday from out of town, it's just something to be aware of. All in all, the honey liked his £7 swimsuit and we were able to use self-checkout, so overall we'd definitely come back.

The store has a more boutique vibe and it is a welcome change to the hustle and chaos of tourists running amuck amuck amuck throughout the adjacent Camden Market shops. The gentlemen working hustled up and down 3 flights of stairs, handling every customer with ease and courtesy. We bought a few pairs of shoes (styles that I've been chasing all week). I really feel it was in part because of the high level of consumer experience that has me writing this review immediately after leaving. Now I only have 17,000 reviews left in my queue

Apparently Dr. Martens are made in China and Solovair are made in England. The owners were super friendly and super hands on, helping you lace up the boots and find the perfect sized shoes for you. They were super knowledgeable about all the shoes and really wanted you to get the best pair that are your perfect fit. Also the prices are comparatively cheap in relative to in-store prices. Bought the shoes for 89€ a pair. What a great experience!

He was so friendly and helped us from the very beginning. The store had basically any size you needed, but only sold a couple of styles. I bought the Black Fine Haircell Boot from Dr. Martens here for 89 Euros and the 8 Eye Derby Boot from Solivar for also 89 Euros. They have great specials too: there were three pairs of decent shoes for a bargain £30. I had to have a laugh at the Crocs near the back of the store, because Camden is the kind of place where if you wore your Crocs on a Friday night you'd never be found again, your only remains comprised of a bright yellow Croc floating down the Camden canals. There are lots of other brands though, and there is as much for the girls as there is for the guys. Ok, Clarks used to be for truly 'sensible' people. No style, no elegance, just the 'raw' deal. You could really see what you were getting in a pair of Clarks shoes. Really no mystery at all. And, you would damn well know that dear Aunt Mabel would have herself a field day drooling over those thick, flat, librarian style sling backs that would last her at least 15 more years. But...and wait for it....I don't kid you. Clarks have really modernised and yes, become quite hip in the process and our feet, which have been feeling the squeeze on so many levels for years, are really benefiting tremendously. Like many, I used to always give Clarks a sideways glance, knowing exactly what was through that door. Thought - Nana Mouskouri, thick rimmed glasses - and hairy armpits and moved quickly by. But, their bright and encouraging window dressing display finally got me in one day, but not before checking out my panoramic vision to see who might be watching me decamp into the depths of the unknown. I told myself I was taking the plunge...for dear Aunt Mabel. And, I have been pleased I did ever since. Their own range of goodies that they proudly display all over the show are indeed 'sensible' but without the loss to style. They have learnt. Their Un-Structured and Active Air range are their main support system and they are great. Coming in all sorts of delightful styles and modern colours that would comfort and nurture any foot with callouses and bunions brought on by years of stiletto wearing. They still don't cater for the real 'fancy dress party popper' or for the woman who, instead of going on a diet, just increases the height of her heel in order to 'hopefully' get that long skinny look. But, what you do get, is a good-looking, sensibly priced shoe, with lots of choices in store that are strong and long wearing that you won't have to take off mid-sentence just because that blasted blister is too much to bear.
