Primark is always my go-to for clothes shopping. They always have a great selection and the prices and reasonable. I feel like the quality of most of their items are also really good. I recently found some cute Miffy PJs! They have cute collabs with Disney and I've also seen Harry Potter and Hello Kitty items here as well. The store is huge and they have so many items other than clothes - travel, makeup, home, a small toy selection, etc. I always stock up on their pantyhose since it's like £4-5 for a 3 pack and they have a wall of different opacities and styles. I need these for work so it's the best deal. Everything is pretty organized and I believe the sizes that are out are all they have. You could literally spend hours in this store if it's your first time here, or if you just don't visit that often. read more

This chain is my happy place. First time at this location and as expected it was packed. I went in for some beauty items and came across Grinch land. Never saw so many Grinch items for an adult. Pajama sets were less than $15. I love getting underwear and shoes from here. The clothes are built to last considering things are cheap. You could knock out your Xmas shopping here. Something for every age. I love the nba items they have and their beauty products. The ones here are so much better than in the states. Give yourself at least an hour bc the queue is always long but moves fast because of the multiple cashiers. read more

The lady with the short blonde/white hair in the downstairs fitting rooms today was lovely (16.06)! She was really helpful even though she couldn't leave the fitting rooms. Date of visit: September 5, 2022 We have been so impressed with Primark since we found their first US store while visiting Boston and were excited to find a couple of pieces that we felt comfortable buying, knowing that we have no way to return them when we get home as the closest store to us is in Chicago (ew!). Primark feels like how Old Navy used to be before jacking up their prices and lowering their quality. Having only been to a couple stores, we are still not quite used to how much of a hot mess the store looks, but I feel that's more due to the shoppers than the staff. That being said, staff is not great, but I wonder how great I would feel if I was surrounded by pushy tourists all day? I was torn between three and four stars, but since we scored some great items for a low cost, four stars it is! read more

Oh my gosh why didn't I come here sooner? This store has it all. I came here looking for rain boots but ended up buying several t-shirts (£5 each), hair accessories, a pair of tennis shoes (trainers), and a bag. I probably spent two hours here just exploring each department. Yes the line (queue) is long but I made friends with a nice lady from Germany while waiting. I had never encountered this chain before, although I knew the name. The store is pretty bonkers. Multiple floors of tourist shopping like they're on a game show, and emerging with 6-8 bags spilling over as they come out the door. The workers do a pretty good job of restoring order to the knocked-over piles in real time. It seemed a lot like a British version of Walmart. Its full of people who are family oriented which sounds nice on paper but in real life means that while you're browsing at bras and panties, nine guys who are someone elses husband or brother stare vacantly in your direction, while random children past their naptime howl at your ankles. I got some packing cubes there for my flight home that were amazingly helpful in corralling my stuff. and also some socks and a pair of pajamas. I didnt try on too many of the clothes, but I saw a few things on the racks that looked cute, like sundresses and blazers as I passed by. read more

This is a "flagship" store which apparently means its complete chaos and disorder at a times. Staff tries their best to keep things organized but the crowds act like it's Black Friday at Best Buy. That said, this store is great if you need a cheap thing while traveling. Feet sore? Grab a £5 pair of sandals. Chilly? Cheap sweaters and jackets everywhere. They even have "London" and "Harry Potter" areas so you can grab souvenirs on the cheap. I bought some PJ's for seriously like £6, and they're honestly really nice. I don't know that I could take the crowds regularly but you can't beat the value! read more

Came here on Boxing Day and I now understand why YouTubers do Primark hauls. The variety of clothing is amazing and everything is all pretty cheap even though it isn't the best quality. Once you enter into the store, they give you a luggage basket which is absurd to think about buying that much clothes but don't underestimate your spending ability because you will definitely need that basket. We bought around 15 things and our bill only came out to be around 130£. I mean they have 75% discount for some items. Also not a crazy amount of people waiting in line for the dressing rooms but there was definitely a crazy amount of people in the store. They seem to not have any maximum capacity cap. The line to the cash register was insane but a plus was that they do tax deductibles at the register. Definitely understand the hype of Primark now and can't wait to come back for more shopping adventures. read more

Much like other tourists I found myself here in search of something for my trip. I basically picked the closest store to meet my needs and this one was it. Depending on your tastes this may or may not be up your alley. It was very chaotic. People were pushy, rushed, and in a frenzy as tho some sort of invisible timer compelled them to grab what they needed and go, go, go. The sections were well marked but the merchandise was a bit haphazard from the dozens of hands that picked it up and then set it in the wrong place. This store does have practically everything you can possibly think of in terms of clothes and shoes plus a variety of household items. I can't speak to all of the quality but it was suitable. The checkout lines were another level of madness. The queue was impressively long and the cashiers did their best to keep the queue moving. There are a variety of impulse buy items all along the queue and none too terribly impressive. People's nerves quickly became frayed. I almost thought a row would break out before me when a lady who did not speak English cut in front of the lady before me. She was not happy one iota about that! It wasn't until her daughter arrived and escorted her mother to the back of the line that the tension was diffused. So if you like chaotic madness this is the place for you! read more

Oh my god! Thank god our time in London came to an end. I visited nearly 5 of these locations and each time I left with a bag of things. It got so bad that we even had to go out and buy two more carry on luggage pieces just so we can get our items home. Each location is unique and they all carry items that another store doesn't have. Some are larger others are a bit smaller but each location offers amazing items at even more amazing prices. CHEAP, like cheap cheap. Seems like great quality items and very fashionable. I wish I could throw out everything I own and start over with everything from primark. I'm sad they don't have stores in the US but also thankful at the same time. One of the locations had a nail salon inside while another had a large home section. From clothing to home goods, xmas decor to beauty supplies... there is something for everyone here but be prepared to load up on things. I'm obsessed with this place! read more

I hate that I'm a fan if Primarni, but damn it all to hell I effing love it. I even love the chaos of being in one of their mammoth flagship stores. Children melting down, adults with fashion finds piled over their head, tourists floored by the cheapness, locals desperately trying to get in and out for that one thing they always come back for... chaos! Complete chaos. Over the past few years I've spent quite a bit of my life in London, and as a sometimes-local I would never recommend Primark to anyone per se, but I still have to give it the props it deserves. With a little lady and a baby on the way, my sizes are all over the place and I'm constantly buying things for my changing body and two little bodies that grow out of things fast, very, very fast. For these needs, Primark has an unmatched price point. Bonus: When I'm back in Canada, no one knows where the cuteness came from and I can easily hide my fast fashion shame. read more

Tax refund? It was my first time traveling to Europe a few months ago. My friend recommended me to check out this store. I'm not a big shopper but my boots were killing me at that time, so I figured I should grab some new comfortable sneakers. I went by myself and had a great time looking around. The clothes and shoes were super cute and affordable! I really like the store; however, my experience at this particular location was kind of... weird? It was pretty obvious I'm not from this area (I don't have the English accent). I paid my items in cash (with about 7 pounds in change) and the lady (the cashier) asked to see my passport (which I thought was weird). She glanced at it then she stapled my receipt and asked me to sign it. At this point I'm confused and I asked where's my change? And she told me that I'll have to get a tax refund to get my change. I kept asking questions but I still couldn't understand her. Still very confused at this point, so I decided to drop it. I didn't bother to ask any more because it was just 7 pounds. Primark: for the budget-conscious, daring fashionista. There are some things that Primark has to offer that you just can't beat, like some essentials: * underwear (£1) * nylons (£1-£2) * robes (£5) * camis (£1 - £2) * leggings (£2 - £5) * skinny jeans (£8 - £10) * accessories/jewelry 'Essential' items like that would retail and triple or quadruple the cost elsewhere - so you just can't beat those prices! In the past, I've also found some nice, not too eccentric coats from them. As for the women's clothing (dress, shirts, skirts), I've sadly never really been able to wear anything, bar the occasional tank top or shirt. The things just look silly on me. No matter what I do, I can't make anything look cute on me from Primark. This might, in fact, just be me. Some of my mates shop here quite frequently and manage to find cute things that look stellar. For shopping at this location, come mid-morning. Not first thing when they open and there are people queued up outside to get in, and not at the end of the day when the queue is a mile long and the place looks like a disaster. Personally, this is my second favourite Primark in London. Yes, it's large - but it is also super busy. If you're out in West London, pop into the one on King Street in Hammersmith first. Less busy and you can usually find what you want. I only come to this location if I'm in town, or if King Street didn't have it first. read more

After being unwell for most of our trip in London, I was really looking forward to getting out and doing some shopping. First stop, Primark! My older sister had recommended this store - she said it was like Kmart, but bigger and better. And she was right. For all you New Zealanders out there, it's like Kmart and Farmers on steroids!!! Primark is seriously awesome. It sells clothing, sleepwear, swimwear, bags, shoes and accessories (for women and men). Just all mass produced. I picked up a few scarves (£2 each), a few tops (all under £5), summer pyjamas, and a colourful Aztec bag, while my sister also bought some cool tops, shorts, socks, pyjamas, earrings and a London-inspired bag. Be prepared to spend a few hours here because this store is on two levels and is massive. Also, the line for the changing rooms is super long. If you're daring enough, find a corner and try on your clothes there - we did it and no one even cared. There was also another girl next to us doing the same thing! If you have a few hours to spare and want to do some shopping at ridiculously good prices, then head to Primark - you will not be disappointed! read more

Welcome to Primark, complete with the same massive selection with equally massive fitting room lines. I have to acknowledge Primark for having very trendy clothes, but as with any good bargain, the clothes seem to disintegrate in one washing. This place was located among some of the best shopping in London, which made it convenient. Also, they had multi-pack underwear that was cheaper than what it would have cost to wash one pair at my London hotel. All-in-all, this is a great place for teens or young professionals with a smaller salary. It definitely stays on the trendy edge, and the clothes last about as long as the trends do. A+, though, for having retro nylons with the seamline running up the back and cute canvas bags. read more

I was first introduced to Primark in A Coruña, Spain. You can find so many assortments of apparels and shoes catered to different tastes, styles, and sizes (lots of plus sizes too) at bargain prices! I love guilt-free shopping spree, I bought so many stuff without spending a fortune! For this reason it's always super crowded but it was worth it for me. Of course you will find lots of fashion disasters and they are not known for durability, but I somehow always manage to find awesome one of a kind items at Primark! When I got stranded in London without my suitcase for a few days, I headed straight to Primark to buy all the essentials!! Thanks to Primark, I saved so much again! This branch of Primark occupies the building of the former Allders department store, and so is pretty large, and set over two floors: the ground floor is given over to womenswear, and the first floor to the menswear and home departments. Like all Primark stores, it offers regularly changing fashion at almost give-away prices, so it's great for those on a tight budget, and the size of this store means that it offers a wider choice of styles and designs than some other branches. The main downer is that at week-ends, it's absolutely packed, as it's a popular destination for foreign visitors to London. They do have loads of tills open in response, and these seem to be quite well managed, so you shouldn't have to queue to pay for more than about ten minutes. And after you've paid, it can take five minutes to shuffle your way out of the store again. That's all if you don't need to try anything on: the queues for the changing rooms might look shorter, but of course move at a snail's pace, particularly if there is an extended family in front of you buying enough stuff for a whole year. The answer, of course, is not to come on a Saturday or Sunday. But if that's not an option, then remember that patience is a virtue... It's also hard to understand how they can pay the manufacturing workers a fair wage at these sort of prices, and they have faced criticism from various employment lobby groups as a result (oddly, most of the recent concerns have been about suppliers based in the UK). This is WAY better than H&M and anything else I have found in the states! Although it can be a little chaotic, ( I suggest you get there when the doors open) you can find the best fashion at prices better than H&M. Although I did go (in May) when the sterling pound was at its lowest compared to the dollar. Let's just say for 50 pounds I bought a pink hard shelled suitcase, nice work pants, a skirt, and 2 business shirts! Just walking down Oxford St felt a little bit like 5th Ave NYC, but without all the high end stores, it was a mix of high end fashion with affordable fashion. Ethics aside because even though we all mean well, most of us still happen to shop here once in a while, this is the worst possible Primark to venture to. It is a hell-hole, and I try to avoid it as much as possible. I just find it impossible to walk into this store and manage to leave it without a thumping migraine. I think it has to do with the horrible neon lighting, the synthetic smells emanating from the clothes and accessories, and the ever belligerent crowds. Queuing for over half an hour for the cheapest accessories or clothes ever made is also pretty enraging. If for some reason or another you have to venture here, always try to make it on a Monday morning and maybe bring one of those gas-mask things and sunglasses. Not sure that it's worth queuing for or fighting for (the opening on Oxford St degenerated into a street fight) but it's interesting to pop in from time to time and pick up 'of the moment' items that will have such a short shelf life that you would not want to invest too much in. Sometimes I think about quitting my job and just living off the land. This weekend, for the first time in my life, I entered a Primark store (by force) and got a taste of how the other half lives. I realized that I don't want to ever be put in a situation where I'm compelled, through necessity, to shop at Primark. Teen pregnancies abounded, and as my friend gazed in horror at the gold spandex leggings for £2 and wondered, "who would buy those?" two tweens with excessive eyeliner made a dive for them. The lines snaked nearly a mile long and by the time I got out I was thoroughly depressed. The experience was traumatic, and I'm fairly certain they make their clothing out of Cambodian children. When strolling several blocks away on Oxford Street, you suddenly see a big, blue sign shining in the night. It's hard to make out what the sign says, what with all of the hustle and bustle happening around you, but you venture onwards to see what this store is. As you get closer, you start to see the doors to this place and it looks like bees swarming the hive, buzzing every which way. Soon you see the many, many racks of clothes with jackets in pretty bright colors, blacks and grays and you see that this store is HUGE. The biggest shopping bee hive you have surely ever seen! Your wallet starts to buzz with excitement as you prepare to push your way into the center of the retail action. No mercy, you think. This store and all of its belongings WILL BE MINE, you eagerly chant to the insides of your soul. But then once you get in, you realize. Wait a minute. This is all shit. You suddenly find yourself a bit mardy, gutted even and filled with an overwhelming feeling of disappointment as the realization that this is a total H*&M knockoff and the clothes will probably only last you one wear sinks in. Oh the sadness that starts to creep up on you and the even sadder slowing of your wallet's vibrato. This isn't the store worth fighting your way into. No. No, it's sadly not. I hate to sound like an incontinent senior, but I have to say this. This huge Primark has no toilets. What's up with that? Isn't there some sort of law in the UK that states "Any retail establishment that takes up a city block, must provide facilities for its shoppers?" I guess not. The problem is, there's no public toilets close by either. Shame on you London. If you must buy the disposable clothes sold at Primark, don't do as I did and drink a Diet Coke before venturing in. Don't come here if you like shopping in a spacious, empty store with helpful, attentive staff. Don't come here if you want to by a nice, well made piece of clothing that you are going to treasure for the rest of your life. Don't even think about treasuring this said item for the rest of the season. Don't come at a lunch time, from 5.30 til 7 (after work crowds) or on a weekend. Don't think too hard about where the factories that make the clothes are or who make them. Primarni is good for a bargain. Its good for fashion basics, work wear, swimwear, etc. Its good for getting to the till with your 5 or 6 items and being told you only owe £19. Do pick up as much as you can, bulk buy, buy for the future, buy for your brother, your home and your mother (when you see the size of the queues you will thank me for this advice). Do act like the other shoppers. Fight for what you want, push your way through the crowds. Leave a mess behind, don't pick up after yourself (coz nobody else does), you changed your mind about that dress? Just dump it anywhere. Those shoes don't fit after all? Just leave them on the floor with their many friends. Why bother straining yourself, its so far down! And one last tip. Don't come if you are having a fat day! Cheap clothes are small clothes. You gotta buy at least a size bigger than you would normally. And that's extra painful when there is only a choice of 8-10, 12-14 and 16-18. Sorry ladies. read more

If you get a sick thrill out of getting slammed into by Asian tourists, Primark is for you! But in all honesty, you'll find deals you won't even believe here. You'll look at the price tags and thing you've died and gone to a really crowded shopping hell-heaven. You can get a quality pair of men's chinos for 10 pounds and then grab a pair of shoes for 8 pounds. How about a suit for 26? Maybe a wrist watch for 4? The prices are so good you won't care that you have to wait 14 hours on the longest lines of your life! But for real the lines are really long. DO NOT COME HERE ON WEEKENDS. I was crazy enough to do this once and it was so hectic I almost seized. However I have been here on weekdays and it was much calmer! You're gonna wanna scope out these deals and have time to think, but you won't be able to with a million people climbing onto your back and riding you like a horse. There are two floors, one has all women's clothes and the other is divided into some more women's, children's, and then men. Primark. I do not like you. Not even as a friend. I've set foot in Primark once and once only having left it to the last minute to shop for clothes that I don't mind being ruined by a week long festival which is where their one star has been gained. Speaking as a season boxing day sales shopper I can honestly say I've never seen anything like what I encountered on this Tuesday. "Primark Tuesday" I calls it or "Women in the Wild". Once you get over the sheer size of the place you notice what a great place it would make for an anthropological study. Hundreds of the female species (for the most part) descend upon "Primani" in a relentless dog eat dog attack to secure the best bargains. Resorting to such lengths as snatching garments out of the hands of those not in their tribes and asserting alpha female shopper-ness by standing in front of the shelf you are looking at. Something I'd reluctantly understand should these bargains actually be Armani and not something that costs £2!! As for this ridiculously long line for the changing room. What the hell!? 1. What the hell are you doing in there that could possibly take so long? Other shops don't have this problem. Have you found the gateway to some mythical place and I just haven't caught on? 2. The clothes are cheap. You know roughly what size you are. Take them home, if they don't fit give them to charity. That top cost you, what? A fiver? Maybe that's just me. I loathe queues of any form. One claustrophobia/rage inducing hour later I left with my purchases. The clothes served their muddy purpose. I was here not too long ago. Unfortunately, it was right after the Christmas, so it was jammed packed and the lines reminded me of the DMV on Alma in downtown SJ on a Saturday. We were however able to find anything and practically everything here. So much so that we had to buy luggage to carry the things we bought.
