Your enjoyment or appreciation of this place is going to be entirely dependent on who you are, and what your lifestyle is. I am not local (American) but I have lived in London as a young poor 20 something. Primark was a Godsend for me. It's also really interesting now that they have expanded into the states (although not where I live) to come back and see how it has changed. When I lived here and had no money this was my go to for anything trendy, or needed. When I moved back to America quite unexpectedly I went there to stock up on inexpensive suitcases to pack up my life and carry back across the world. Any fast fashion or trendy items, this was my go to. Needed something for my home that didn't need to be high quality, Primark. I got a job at AllSaints a few blocks away and we were supposed to wear their clothes exclusively, but we only got a 60% discount (that's a big discount but still not inexpensive for a college kid) so I got a lot of my work shoes here and they never noticed. Now that I visit as a tourist, it's my go to for things like I need an umbrella that I can leave behind when I go home, or it's raining and I didn't bring my raincoat with me today...or it's colder than what I planned for on this trip so let me stop by and grab a few pieces of layering clothes or a coat. The Disney selection makes me wonder why there isn't a Primark in Orlando (because they get very unique Disney licensed items). If you don't have a big budget or are in need of souvenirs, I also recommend Primark. But if you're looking for a luxury experience, this isn't for you. If you're anti fast fashion, please just skip this. It's busy and loud and sort of a cattle call at the till, but it's great novelty spot. The layout has shed over the years bit it's still a great spot for cheep gifts, replacing broken or lost items and getting an unexpected suitcase for any souvenirs if you are a tourist (my favorite suitcase going on 11 years was £25 from here & yes we got another this most recent trip) 3 stars because I've definitely had some weird experience here over the years but generally if you go in knowing what it is and what to expect, it won't disappoint you. read more

Primark Oxford Street: Daily Thefts, No Help, and Staff Indifference!!!!! I recently had my bag stolen at the Primark Oxford Street East store between 19:50 and 20:05 on 01/11/2025 in the sleepwear section near Disney products. I immediately noticed the theft and sought help, but the staff showed no concern and were initially completely unhelpful. When I reported the incident, I spoke to a staff member at the till who gave me a loss report form, not the store manager. Another tourist next to me had her phone stolen at the same time, and she alleged that a staff member took it, which I cannot confirm. Both of us were tourists, we had flights the next day, and important documents like passports and IDs were at risk, with her losing her phone in the process. Despite the seriousness of the situation, no one took responsibility. When I tried to explain my situation, I was stressed and upset, yet instead of offering support, the staff blamed me for being nervous and treated me poorly. The store manager (or senior staff, I am not sure of their exact role) acted as if it was completely normal and showed no empathy or assistance. I find it unacceptable that such frequent thefts occur in a store without any warnings or preventive measures, and that victims are treated with such indifference. I hope this review makes others aware and that Primark takes responsibility to improve their security and customer support. read more

Primark is great. So much selection and unbeatable prices. Even with the conversion rate, some items came out to cheaper for me than buying them back home. Got so much stuff here, I wish my luggage had more space in it! Lots of change rooms, endless selection for men, women, and children, a home section, and so much more. I am a bit sad they got rid of the Harry Potter section for the swimwear line but oh well. Time at the cash registers will be a bit long though because everyone is constantly buying stuff. And yes, I was an unfortunate victim to lost luggage, so I indeed needed to replace some of my wardrobe. I mean not everything can be Haute Couture, right? I entered Primark to a busy vibe and groovy everywhere. It's definitely a lively place, but tbh geared more towards the younger crowd. Some areas had huge pileups but that's expected since the store was packed, but I always saw associates organizing. Picked up some winter clothes and accessories , if I had more space in my suitcase I would have bought more. For our entire time in London, my friend and I have been wondering where the thick chicks shop. On our last day, we finally found it. Primark is an experience that simply can't be put into words... but I'll try. If you take H&M, add beauty services and a coffee shop, add a dash of Old Navy, and a sprinkle of Marshalls, Ross, and TJ Maxx, you would have this place. There are clothes, shoes, hosiery, housewares, luggage, lots of London swag (much better than you'll find on the street) accessories, mens clothes, kids clothes, makeup and beauty tools, and even hair, makeup, eyebrow and manicure services. They also have apparel lines from Disney, Coca Cola, Game of Thrones, as well as Harry Potter. There's a sitting area (in the denim section), an area where shoppers can charge their phones, free WiFi, and they even have a coffee shop with sandwiches, salads, toasties (grilled cheese sandwiches), wraps, tea and coffee drinks, juice, soda, crisps (chips) and a broad assortment of baked goods. I had the cheese toasty with tuna, salt and vinegar chips, and a raspberry and black currant juice for lunch. Everything was delicious, and it cost less than £8. Yum! The prices are fantastic and the clothes are really cute. Lots of prints, patterns, styles, textures and colors. The sizes range from XXS to XXL, and they even have UK, US, and European sizes converted on both the tags and hangers. The fitting room process is a very structured process, so have your garments ready. The staff count your items, log the number into what looks like a timecard machine, and do a recount and checkout process once you're done. Can't say that they're not thorough. The jeans here fit like they were made by God Herself (and they had plenty in stock! I bought them in every color.) and I'm pretty sure the leggings were custom crafted specifically for my curves by Jesus (Had to get them in every color, as well). I found a ton of cute clothes for work, as well as fabulous fashions to wear outside of the office. This was a fantastic way to end my London holiday, and I've got a ton of fashionable and functional souvenirs to bring home! read more

I'm not even ashamed to admit that I took a work trip to London for the sole purpose of coming to Primark. This place is shopping heaven. You can't skip arm days at the gym before visiting here though because you're going to need a lot of forearm strength to carry all the cute clothes you're going to find. This store is 3 or 4 stories and it's a little overwhelming. The clothes here are great because it's very reasonably priced, if not cheap, but the quality of the clothes are really good. European sizing is so much better than in the states as well. Everything is form fitting and they have much classier styles. I feel like this store is a H&M but better quality and better prices. Everything is also sorted out and organized so well. I think I spent at least two hours here and I had to over stuff my suitcase with everything I bought. I ended up spending $140 USD for pants, two sweaters, a shirt, a pea coat, cute ass booties (that were 16 pounds), gloves, a beanie, a furry hot water bottle/bag (like the ones for when you have cramps), a dress, 6 leggings, and a skirt. I feel like I'm missing something, but that's a deal!! I'll post a photo later to show how good of a value it was because everything was good quality and material. GREAT STORE. This place is definitely the most overwhelming place I have shopped at. First it took us forever to get there because it was at one end of Oxford street. The distance from the train stop to this store walking was an easy 45mins. I'd recommend you wear very comfortable shoes and not have too many shopping bags prior to shopping. The shop had many levels. It is bigger that most malls but it is one store with different departments. I only shopped at the nightwear and bra section .. also picked up some socks shoes for hubby and I was exhausted. The checkout section was on another floor but I could wait to get out of there. Considering how many people are going through here, they actually manage to keep most of the store pretty well organized. What is Primark? Imagine Forever 21 and make the clothes with 10x more quality and 1/2 the price. This Primark is massive. Clear your schedule because you can spend a long time in this store. I would say the most awesome thing about this store is the Harry Potter shop that is within it. Primark has some of the most awesome and unique Harry Potter clothes that are at prices you can't beat (even factoring in the exchange rate). They have everything from tank tops, sweat shirts, pajamas, wizarding robes, bath robes, blankets, duvet covers, socks, underwear, coffee mugs, key chains, and more for prices you won't find anywhere else. If you're in London and want to get great Harry Potter gear at cheaper prices than you will find at the Platform 9 3/4 store or the WB Studio tour store this is the place to go! Aside from the Harry Potter merchandise they also have really cute London, Disney, and Paddington souvenirs and very cheap prices. Once you get through the souvenirs the clothing is great! It is very hip and fashionable and the quality is there. It also does not run small and has convenient sizes for multiple countries on the hangers. The store can be very overwhelming. The basement floor is dedicated to men and the home, the first floor has Harry Potter and women's clothing, the second floor has shoes and more women's clothing, the third floor has children and I believe a coffee shop. They have a wide variety of shoes as well. I was able to purchase three pairs of ballet flats for under 15 pounds total. If you want jeans it is also the place to go, there were so many options. All the employees were great and helpful. The fitting room has an 8 item limit but they will hold onto your clothes so you can exchange them to try on the rest. I would recommend to spend at least 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the entire store. read more

God, I miss shopping at Primark! I can't believe we don't have any in California, I even tweeted them to come to San Diego! I had heard about Primark while waiting to take photos at the Harry Potter experience at Kings Cross, the girls were from the states like my husband and I and they told us of the wonderous store that is Primark! The girls described it like a Forever21 but with better material and even better price points. Bryan and I came across one, there's a lot of them throughout the UK and Ireland, four stories of clothing, home goods, accessories and shoes. I had sensory overload, I was in such shock, I can barely describe how I felt during my first visit at Primark! Also, Primark is a Harry Potter fans heaven, there are so many Harry Potter oriented accessories and clothes, as well as touristy gifts! Bryan bought me a Harry Potter pj set that was 15 pounds, $20 in the US! What!? That would be well over $40 back in the states, he also got me a pair of loafers, suede-ish booties with embroidery, sweaters, some Harry Potter memorabilia and souvenirs for under 90 pounds! I wish I had bought more shoes, honestly my loafers were only 6 pounds! Just to let you know we visited a Primark store in London, Edinburgh and Dublin. I was obsessed, even got Bryan a sweater and a couple of hats while we were there! I honestly wish I bought more shoes. At the very top floor there is a cafe where you can sort through your pre-purchased items, they had a sticky toffee muffin that satisfied my sweet tooth craving. So Primark is amazing and has everything you could possibly want. That isn't what the 1 star is for. It's just today I visited with two of my friends as we are in London on holiday. Unfortunately, we have American accents and that seemed to really irk one of the cashiers. I didn't catch her name but she was pretty hideous, had ramen noodles dyed black for a weave, and covered her asymmetrical lips with a hideous shade of deep purple lipstick. She spoke to my friends like they were the stupidest people on earth and kept rolling her eyes while sharpening her tone. My cousin was paying for her things with a £5 note from an ATM that was out of circulation (how was she supposed to know? she's not from here.) This woman treated and spoke to my cousin like she was a criminal and should've known better when again -- WE ARE NOT BRITISH CITIZENS SO WE ARE NOT AWARE! When my other friend was paying for her pillows this girl shoved them in the bag so angrily and said "I don't know what else to do. I'm gonna fold them. Are you AWARE they're going to snap back after being folded?" ..... Wait, did she really think we thought the pillows would've stayed folded? She clearly thought we were special ed, even going as far as to remind my friend more than 5 times that her phone was on the counter during the transaction. My friend is not 3 years old and can keep track of her belongings just fine. She felt so good about herself talking to us like we were stupid. Only people that know they're ugly have to do that. We did nothing to warrant this behavior from here and that is why I'm sure she treated us this way because we are Americans and tourists. England, I know you're annoyed Prince Harry married an American but that is no fault of our own. London has been fantastic but this interaction with this ugly person of a cashier really put a damper on our entire day to the point where I had to make this review publicized. The shop was HUGE, I really enjoyed checking it out for my first Primark adventure. They had so many different options available in what you could shop for, suitcases (Which I bought and has lasted me 2 years), to socks, mens wear, womens and childrens, and I'm sure they even branch into animal sweaters and leashes, they have young womens, girls, club wear, sleek stylish pieces. I also found myself a winter "woobie" or square poncho here that I am addicted to still and cannot find something comparable.=( Either way, great visit, expect something like a large H&M, and to be addicted for life. read more

Primark is the UK's version of Forever 21. I've heard so many amazing things especially about the Disney gear Primark carries so needless to say, as a first timer in London I had to stop by. This particular one is three stories and honestly it's so hard to not want things. Luckily I was able to exercise my self-restraint and only bought a Disney souvenir for my friend back home. Their prices are unbeatable and they even have free wifi and a customer seating section which includes multiple charging outlets (in case you get bored/tired of following whoever dragged you in here). I went to your marble arch store on Sunday , only to find you was not open at 1030 am I thought you might open late because of the bank holiday weekend , plus bad on me for not checking your opening times , so I thought I get something to eat at fast food store that just does credit card sales only , I just about giving up starting walking down Oxford st , towards Tottenham court road tube station , where I came across your other Oxford st store , waited 10 minutes to get in at 1130 found what I wanted tryed to leave at 1150 was told the cash tills was not open until 1200pm , went upstairs to get a coffee , they were only doing card sales too , no cash in the fill either , waited until nearly ten past still no cash in the fill that I could see , went and payed for my shirt n shoes , the only good part of the whole day finding something to wear , my only personal gripe is why was the no money in the tills to do point of sale , sales why have to wait 30+ minutes to get served and leave the store , was more upset that I had to wait that extra half hour to get out , and I could not buy a coffee to sit and wait ..... If the Marble Arch/Oxford St. Primark is hell of Earth, the Tottenham Court Rd./Oxford St. Primark might only be purgatory. But only on certain days. Much of the time it only borders on unpleasant. Which, for a huge Primark in tourist territory, is a feat. This is the newest, shiniest, & best laid-out of the big London locations. I don't terribly mind stopping in and if I'm on a mission can often be in and out in less than 15 minutes. Impressive. read more

Ohhh my beloved Primark! Had a meeting, and never during my time back in London realised that this new location opened up. So imagine my surprise when going to the tube on my way home and presented with Primark lovelyness! What is it about Primark that I love? Each time i've relocated back to Lonodn (many times), i always have to make a stop here to rebuy my socks, pjs, etc. And now and again i've find something I would wear out of the house too. Now and again... they have some fashion going on. Best of all... discounted! So on this occasion... I bought shoes. Never bought shoes from primark before. In fact... i have been for months looking for cool... fashionable boots. FLAT! no heels! All my shoes are heels, and it would be nice to walk in confort when not trying to impress boys. I tried several places willing to pay big money for fashion comfort... but no luck. Primark... cool flat boots... 15 quid. Bargain! Saved me on the 100 quid budget I had reserved. Well, we all know about Primark and what they sell as well as how you can go shopping on a £20 note, so, I will be talking about the layout, the queue time difference and the location compared to Primark Marble Arch... Layout: Within talking about the layout of the store, I will also talk about how well kept it is. Comparing Primark TCR to marble Arch I can assure anyone differing between the two that TCR has a better layout to the store. There aren't too many floors to take an escalator too amd everything is within visible sight. In regards to how well kept the store is, Primark Marble Arch is what I can describe as 'The Hunger Games of Primark' with clothes stashed everywhere and bits of clothes and items laying around the floor. TCR Primark (from what I have witnessed) is not like that. You will find the odd piece of clothing here and there, but, they are more staffed and usually do a great job in maintaining the store. Queue Time: TCR Primark in comparison to Marble Arch is where there is a clear winner. Although Marble Arch tends to be a bigger store, if you are after a handful of items (and not your annual clothes shop) then TCR Primark is your best choice. Not only do the queues go quickly (thanks to "not so bothered" cashiers), but it's quiet consistent. I have been to the store through different times and days etc and not once queued for more than 5minutes (10 maximum) whereas I have been known to queue for 2hrs at Marble Arch Location: Like Primark Marble Arch, both Primarks are within less than 5 minutes walk with Primark TCR directly opposite the station. With the TCR location opposite the station, it has been of great convenience in the past when I have needed to nip into the store and back out again. ***4 Stars because although I am a rare Primark shopper, out of the few stores I have been to, it really doesnt feel like a survival of the fittest within the TCR Primark Store*** read more
