I have used Clark services for over 15 years for 2 separate houses in Benicia. I am consistently impressed with my technicians and the service I receive. We have had many wonderful technicians and I am always disappointed when they change however, it is nice to hear that many of them get promotions within the company. Our current technician, Erick is fabulous! He always takes the time to ask if there are any issues and listens while providing reassurance if I am nervous about potential rodent issues. He went above and beyond yesterday. There was a small snake stuck on a trap in my garage. It was still alive and he took the time to make sure he could help it and release it. I cannot imagine using any other pest control company. I have also worked with Will who sets up the exclusion services and he also goes above and beyond consistently. Thank you Clark! read more

Terrible company. I keep getting text from A.R.M. Solutions Debt Collector about my past due balance for last 2 months. I initially enrolled online and pay my invoices online but for the past couple months when I log in I cannot get to my account and despite various password resets that I never get in my email, I have not been able to rest my password. I tried signing up again, says user already exists. I called customer service, spent an hour after which they told me their system is slow for some reason & they will contact me back. Never did. Service is also below par because the tech comes and is gone is flash. We still have insect problems. Tech wants me to vacate while he is spraying, so I have no way of verifying is he's detailed inside the house even when I leave every door & closets open for him. He goes around the house so quick that I spot the spider webs he didn't get to after he leaves. If I point to something for him to address he seems offended and responds that he knows. There are plenty of Pest Control companies out there. Nothing special about Clarks. Would not recommend. read more

Friday after hours 1 million ants were all over our cement slab in the backyard. I called Clark and was told everybody had gone home. I'm having a Mother's Day event in my backyard. The dispatcher knew I was upset. After hanging up, she called back telling me to call in the morning they might be able to get someone out. Well lo and behold they did! His name was Robert. I told Colby I might not be able to afford this service and can I cancel at any time. Colby did not mention a $199 cancellation fee, now they charged me that fee when I thought they were coming once a week, not once a month. $100 for once a month is not a value. I paid $50.00 to have the eaves brushed, a mosquito trap installed under the walnut tree, Michael sprayed for bugs, which I already did twice within the week and they just put rat traps out and came back to set them a week later and I have not seen them since. Coming to check the traps once a week is worth the $100, but not once a month. They are to check the rat traps and not just leave them sit for a month. So I cancelled because I was misinformed. We called Clark and had them come over to inspect some issues that may be causing the foul smell underneath the house. They came but they didn't even check underneath the crawl space. That is the main issue that we need checked. He was so lazy! What kind of pest control company refuses to check the crawl space? I wonder if if it's because he did not fit under there? So I've had Clark for the past maybe four years. They would come out on a regular basis. Spray check everything out. They came out the other day two trucks no idea why. Never two trucks before and one of the trucks parks halfway in my neighbors driveway Where there's plenty of room in front of my house. They probably weren't there more than 10 minutes 15 at the most didn't really see them doing anything. I waited because they were leaving and I thought I better go check my gate because these guys that came just didn't seem reliable or dependable like the other text I've had before. Sure enough my gate was wide open now if I hadn't gone with my gut feeling my gate would've been opened all night and who knows what could've happened. I emailed kind of angry and went off on them. So they respond today by canceling my contract because they didn't like the way I talk to them. Poor babies. Man up. We have had an ongoing rat and mice problem at our house in Concord and despite ongoing attempts to rid our house of them by ourselves, they continued to strive and even multiply! So we decided to call in the professionals as obviously what I was doing was not working and I wasted more than $100 on every type of trap or poison you can find in stores! I even went as far as building my own "walk the plank" rat /mouse yep, yet all efforts failed! So we called 3 different professional companies, or if then being "Clark Peat Control" I had no idea as to what companies were good and which ones wee terrible as I didn't even check their reviews on Yelp or anywhere else for that matter! Bug mistake on my part. Out of the three one came back with the outrageous estimate of $5900; admit six thousand to kill some rats, yeah right! The 3rd company came back with a reasonable $800 bid and a great guarantee that we would be rat and pest free for an entire year! Then Judy $89 a year to continue the guarantee plus regular spraying, Clark on the other hand reacted as I have never seen a company do. From the beginning they were so non chalant and had the most defetist attitude. Everything we showed them we did just sighed and said yep that's about all you can do We would do the same thing. And then tell us there's not much more that can be done. He actually acted as ig we were totally screwed and nothing could be done. There prices were reasonable enough that we would have definitely thought about using them but after the meeting and the attitude from the expert that there's is practically nothing that can be done to stop these pests we decided to go a different route and hired a other company, one with a much better attitude and at least a little enthusiasm that they could help out problem read more

My account was transferred from Brooks Pest Control to now Clark Pest Control my guess around 12/2021. One day last week I see a man at my window, so I go outside to see who he is and he says Oh you have a scheduled spraying today. I told him I actually don't, and it hasn't been 3months since my last spraying so I'm good. This man almost refused to not spray, as I explained I ALWAYS have a scheduled not just a show up appointment, I ALWAYS request a call before arrival because I have a pet and my calendar is up to date. He said my transferred information from Brooks didn't specify that which I highly doubt because I've had their service over 3yrs and also my account stayed to come whenever which is also incorrect because of my pet. So after I finally convinced him that I'm not getting serviced that day, I'd call into the office in which I did. I explained to the lady how he just showed up, no notice and how I'd like to have scheduled appointments. We got everything set and I was scheduled for today 1-3pm. Well, with me being on top of things I called in to Clark's around 9am just to sure we're all set for today ( It's still Covid so I wanted to be sure) I was told my ACOUNT HAS BEEN CLOSED!! Huh.... Im so confused! So I explained to this lady, yet again what happened last month and I thought I was good. She placed me on hold to try and get in contact with the lady who scheduled me for today to see what happened, because obviously something was input incorrectly. She gets back on the phone saying a supervisor will call me back to try and get me scheduled for today. I told her this is terrible customer service because had I not called in, I'd just be waiting 1-3pm for a service that wasn't taking place. I explained miscommunication or not, this is not what you do as a company that has been around for years and well known. Well about 30min later, I get a voicemail from Dan stating I can call him back if I want. Omg I'm so done! I called to cancel my contract after their last visit and told the manager the guy who came did nothing to address the multiple concerns I raised and didn't even do the minimum. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This company will take your money and do the bare minimum. I started my service with Clark at the end of June 2018 for rodents. I have lived in my home for 6 years and never had this issue until now. They were invading my attic and making their way into my home. Clark came out and charged me hundreds of dollars to even start the service. Yes, they set traps and caught mice in my attic (never in the house), but their "exclusions expert" determined that they were gaining entry through my roof and couldn't do anything about it because of the type of roof I have. Two days ago, I could hear rustling in my attic and I called Clark. They couldn't send a technician to me for two days. Lo and behold, a mouse got caught in a trap in my living room. Oh but it was only temporarily in the trap because the monster ripped his own tail off to free himself from the trap. Clark comes and now they are giving me possible entry points to my home, all of which were never identified before. I called another company, they came the same day and what do you know: THE MOUSE ATE A HOLE IN THE WALL THROUGH MY GARAGE AND CAME OUT BEHIND MY REFRIGERATOR. THAT IS HOW THE MOUSE GAINED ENTRY. The mouse then is climbing inside of the walls, straight to my attic. Clark never checked behind any of my appliances or anywhere else. They have bad reviews for a reason. The main goal should be to find how critters are getting in. NOT JUST SETTING TRAPS AND PICKING UP DEAD RODENTS. ITS UNACCEPTABLE. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. read more

I would not recommend using them after this experience. The service was usually good. I had 1 other issue with them in the past but nothing to write a review for. Charged $75 for a termite inspection that has no value whatsoever. But after my last service experience with them, I am angry and would recommend working with any other company. They were supposed to show up to service my property, I received a notice on the door but they did not do any service on the house but they left a bill. I was home all day waiting for them because the back of the house really needed to be treated. I called them after noticing the bill, I said no one knocked, and considering I was working all day from my computer sitting in front of the window, I did not see anyone doing service in the front yard. They said they would look into it and call me back. Didn't hear back from them until they were requesting payment. I explained to them that no one showed up. Now they are telling me I am the liar and are still charging me. So, bills with no completed service is what you can expect from Clarks. read more

They gave us construction recommendations on how to keep them out. We offered to pay them for their time, but they said it was a complimentary inspection. I highly recommend Adolfo Chavez of Clark Pest Control, 925-757-5890. Here's why. A different company had earlier told me I had termites in my basement and he'd get rid of them for a few thousand dollars. In December 2020, I asked Clark Pest Control for a second opinion. On inspection, Mr. Chavez told me he'd found no termites. I appreciated his honesty, especially given my recent experience with four other pest control companies. Below is an example of the others. I had mentioned to Mr. Chavez that I still heard rats in my attic, a problem another pest control company had been handling for me since July. Mr. Chavez now reported that he'd walked around the house and had found "a pipe big enough for a raccoon to enter your home." I was stunned. That pipe should have been identified and sealed five months earlier, in July, when I'd paid Mighty Men Pest Control $3,550 to rid my basement, crawl space and attic of rats. Mighty Men had cleaned, sanitized and set traps in the attic, basement and crawl space. The agreement included a 6-month warranty. Over the months, I had reported continuing nightly sounds of rats in my attic and later between the walls. Mighty Men was skeptical, saying that since I reported no rats in the traps, then how could there be rats in the house since they had sealed the entry points. Prior to Mr. Chavez finding rat access through the pipe, another man had noted 3 access points that needed sealing, including the side of the garage door. I had been unware that rats could enter the garage through that vertical space. While Mighty Men had sealed the bottom of the garage door in July, they had never told me that I needed a garage door company to seal the side. Furthermore, their agreement document specifically states they would sealing the garage door. I reported the "raccoon" pipe to Mighty Men, who sent a representative on December 31, 2020 to seal it. The representative was kind enough to install on the pipe a one-way door I had purchased online. With the pipe sealed, the job of closing entry points hopefully was finally finished. Assuming the warranty began when the cleaning and the sealing of entry points was completed, I figured the 6 month warranty would now begin. However, Mighty Men told me that the warranty began July 13, 2020, the day that their employees first set foot on my property. The warranty would end on January 12, 2021. That made no sense to me. An attorney I later consulted agreed with me that warranties begin after the work has been completed. Nightly sound of rat activity between the walls continue to this day. Technicians are not trained much, they appear to be high school kids looking for a quick summer job. As a result, the service is very poor at best. I held a 1 year contract with Clark Pest Control (San Ramon, CA service area) in which they were to spray the perimeter of my home for bugs/spiders, and cover all rat entry points to my garage and home and to set/clean out rat traps (I live next to an open space, lots of rodent action). The bug spraying and cleaning of spider webs was fine, but after speaking with another company for the same rodent services I realized that at no time did Clarks check or block any rat entry points. All they did was put 3 traps in my garage and left. They didn't even check the traps during regular quarterly servicing! After 6-8 months, I finally asked the Tech to please check the traps (I had been checking weekly and had personally disposed of 6-8 rats during that time - some right after Clarks had been to my home). He found one rate caught but still alive, and another was just a skeleton! I myself had previously discarded of at least 6-8 rats during the year. Also, I just called them to get an estimate on doing a thorough job of rodent inspection, Trap and bait, clean-up and disinfect, and cover entry points.... the woman I spoke with didn't seem to know what or how they provide their services. read more
