I used Oxley for over ten years, and when they sold to Clark, my service quality went downhill immediately. My technician came out with no advanced notice, and spent about 5 minutes working on his initial visit at my house. Naturally, I had to call back a couple of weeks later to have a repeat service done as there were a ton of bugs lurking around, and he did the same half-assed walk around a second time with no webbing. As I did not have a contract, I was able to call and cancel service with Clark with no trouble. I found another local company, and when the tech came out for his initial visit, he was there for over an hour. He pointed out webs I had not noticed before and joked that they must've been left over Halloween decor - nah, it's just what Clark failed to address. He was here last week, and you can see that the mosquito is empty, which I told the tech and also did not sprayed my backyard for flea and tick...Lately, I am dissatisfied of there services. I have these pantry fly bugs, which wasn't that many now they are tons of them. The glue pads they give me are not working at all. I've been unhappy with my service for years. I originally wanted pest control service because I didn't want to have to worry about getting rid of bugs myself. But over the years we have found several bugs that I end up having to get rid of myself with foggers and grocery store insecticides. At the first signs of cockroaches, I started spraying. and I'm glad that I did or my house would be infested even though I had Clark's Pest Control Service. We first found them in the garage and then they started appearing upstairs in the bathroom. Luckily after I started spraying, we stopped finding them. We find spiders everywhere, crickets, beetles, ants and so many other bugs that I don't the names of. I always joke with my family that Clark's is spraying a bug attractant. More recently we have been having issues with ants to the point the ants have been found in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We notified Clark's and they sprayed for ants. I went outside and saw ants all over my sidewalk this morning still after two services last month. I'm always cleaning cobwebs everywhere and killing spiders inside and outside of the house. For a property that has had the same pest control service for years, you would never know we pay somebody to take care of bugs because they are everywhere. They come they do a quick spray around, sometimes skipping the backyard and they leave. I'm not sure what I'm paying for at over $100 for each service every other month. I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows a better company. I really need to cancel my service but I'm waiting to find another company first. And the comment that was previously left saying that they don't notify you of an i upcoming service is true. When I signed up I was told they will call the day before to inform us someone is coming out. They don't. They just show up, spend about 5-10 minutes walking around the house and then leave. Only reason it got one star is cause my initial technician was good, thats where the positive stops. Got a new technician, did a poor job cleaning up cobwebs, left pointed out a black widow, he sprayed it with some wasp spray ( and yes the spider could have cared less); wasp nest was left and wasps were not killed " oh you will see some high activity for a few days" Hello...I am allergic, they are right above me when I open the back door! The wasps never left, they started building a second nest a few inches over. Did I call? I sure did, though my technician wasn't availble for another 2 days. And while the outside was rushed over, the inside was soaked in pesticides to the point i had to air out the house for a few days, it took amost an hour to dry, and it was hot that day! So I cancelled and yes still had to pay the full amont for 2 month! They could have cared less that I received shitty service. Switched to a local family buisness and they aren't just cheaper, they are so much nicer and better customer service! read more

I would like to start off saying that my house is pest free thanks to them. I however, have decided to cancel my account with them because of other reasons. I was a customer of Oxley's pest control for a while and Clark's took over their company so I was placed under them. My first issue is that I definitely noticed the difference in customer service because getting a hold of somebody takes at least 10 minutes now. Which I understand because they are a bigger company, but I miss the family company feel. When Clark acquired Oxley, they called me to notify me of the change and I agreed to it and let them know the times and days I am available and they said they would make a note. Even after that, they made my first appointment for a time and date I did not want. so I spoke to somebody and made an appointment that worked for me. The appointment date comes and nobody shows up. They do however show up two days later at a time I am not home without notice. I called to get that situation figured out and the person I spoke to only said "so did you want to reschedule?" A few days after that service I called to make my payment for April and the person who took my payment did not tell me I had an outstanding payment from February so I just now in May received a notice saying that my account is delinquent and a late fee has been been added. I called to ask about why I was not informed I had an outstanding balance from a previous service when I made my payment in April and that bill is from February and the man gave me no real answer other than the card I had on file was expired but they did have another current card on file. All throughout this no one person I spoke to said sorry for the inconvenience or our apologies. It just felt like their customer service is lacking. Anyways, I have now canceled with them. If customer service is a big thing for you then I would suggest you look somewhere else. read more

I would not recommend applying for employment with Clark pest control, the human resource department can only be contacted through email only. They tend to string you along and pretend that they are going to hire you. You go through serval interviews, including 2 phone interviews and 2 in person interviews, As most people would, they go along with this process only to continue to be stung along for months. In my husband's case this process has taken almost 6 months, and he's still under consideration even though he has a 20 plus year background in all types of construction and is also a certified home inspector. He has no felonies and a clean driving record. He has emailed Human Resources several times checking on the status of his application and they ignore him, He has called the main office and was not offered any help there either. I don't know how they can do this to people and give them false hope of a stable work environment to better themselves and their families, especially when they are more then enough qualified for the position they applied for. read more

Hired Clark's to take care of a termite issue in 2015 and ended up tenting the home. Seth and Rory came out for the inspection and were both knowledgeable and patient thorough in explaining the process. I signed up for the warranty and even though Seth has left the company, Rory is still there and handles our contract. I couldn't be happier with their service. And Rory even spotted a gas leak last year while inspecting the house! We're so glad he said something because we had a slow leak we weren't aware of and I was 8months pregnant. Where do I even begin?.... We had a salesman come to our door to offer the service, he stated it would be 25 dollars a month, no contract and we would be charged every other month. We called because we were having issues with ants and the tech came out ( he was great by the way, very professional and knowledgeable). At the end he left an invoice for 89 dollars which we were concerned with because a service fee was not disclosed when we called. The salesman said that if we had any issues to call and it would be cared included with what we were paying. Too good to be true. We called today and it turns out that we are in a CONTRACT and our bill is 89 dollars every two months and not 50 like we were told. We asked to terminate it and they want to charge us an additional 110 dollars as a penalty. STAY AWAY and DO NOT hire this crooked company. I'm very impressed with our Clark Pest service . On the day I signed my contract with Clark I got a full run down on what the service they provide includes. I just had them come out to my house yesterday and again the Clark serviceman was on time very polite and asked if I had any concerned areas. I explained I have dogs and he explained the process and how to keep our dogs safe. This morning when I walked outside it was a Bug Armageddon all over our patio and courtyard. I'd had a horrible time with ants ever since I bought my house as a new construction back in '98. I think they'd built a huge underground colony right under my house. They were coming up in the yard surrounding my house and through every crack and seam in the construction. I tried every ant control item I could find at Lowe's and nothing seemed to make any difference. Don't even get me stared on the black widow spiders - in my garage, in my back yard... I looked them up on the internet and read that you couldn't buy anything strong enough to kill them at a home improvement store, that only professional chemicals would subdue them. HOGWASH - thought I as I headed down to Lowe's and Home Depot to buy anything that looked like it would make a difference. I bought a can that sprayed/streamed pesticide and had a picture of a black widow on the side of it. I found a black widow spider that was producing an egg sack out against the back wall of my house and started spraying it. It turned around, pesticide streaming off its back to make small puddles on the ground as it followed the stream back TOWARDS ME. I finally used the can to smash it. Well, that was one way to handle it. Then there was the final straw. One of my neighbors hired a pest control service and just like that I had a problem with roaches. I'd never seen a single roach before, but now they all wanted to have slumber parties at MY HOUSE. Well, I certainly wasn't going to stand for that. I called Clark's Pest Control and two weeks later there wasn't an ant or a spider or a cockroach in sight. The first time they came they sprayed everything inside and out. Now, they service my house every other month and I don't even have to be home. They spray for critters and clear away any cobwebs that show up before anything can make a permanent home here. I have two dogs at my house, but they've assured me the chemicals they use are safe because none of my animals has ever had an adverse reaction to them. If you're bothered by six or eight legged creatures, these are your new best friends! read more

I called Clark Pest Control to get an estimate on what I thought to be termites in my house. They sent William Peterson (Bill) out and he told me that they were not termites but merely flying ants. To my relief, we did not have to have the house fumigated or pay for a semi-expensive repair. What made this experience 5 stars though was Bill's no pressure attitude and great demeanor. He was probably bummed that there was no business to be had at my location but he offered lots of advise, answered all my questions and even offered me options to review the property if I thought it needed it. Again, he did not pressure me or try to sell me something I didn't need and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. In the end, I did not use Clark Pest Control because I spray the property myself...BUT if I ever need a pest control company in the future, I will call Clark again and if I need a termite guy, I hope they send me Bill. read more

They've come out to spray for a tick problem for over a year, yet the problem is at it's worse. They try to put the blame on me as if I don't treat my pets but clearly they're trying to cover for themselves. I pay for the service at my in laws because they watch my dogs when my husband and I travel yet every time I pick my dogs up they have ticks on them, I take them home and treat them, they're good at my house no ticks, I call clarks they spray and again the cycle continues. I cannot begin to tell how horrible Clark Pest Control. First I will say NEVER NEVER sign up for their quarterly termite service protection plan. They merely put small pieces of wood around your house and hope to attract a termite. It started with wonderful service and a good price for a termite spot treatment. After I signed up for the quarterly protection service. After 3 years of playing the quarterly service I decide to cancel last month. Last week as I cleaning out of my garage I found termite activity all over. It had clearly been going on for years. The original spot treatment did not work. It only pushed the termites from the header in a bedroom over into the garage rafters. After paying for the protection service for 3 years they never found one termite issue. I called them to see what they would do for me. They told me sorry you canceled your protection service and there is "absolutely no way we will do any service for free now" I quote Bill Peterson. He also told me I was being unreasonable but agreed that the termite activity he saw had been some time in the making. I paid Clark Pest Control over 1600 over the years and now I am going to have to pay someone else to fix the problem they never addressed. Please do not use Clark Pest Control. They are just trying to swindle you out of a dollar. I should have listened to some of the Pest Control Companies that explained that was Clark's reputation. read more
