Extremely disappointed with my most recent service. I've been a paying customer and know what your standard service looks like -- this wasn't it. The technician rushed through the job, skipped areas that are always treated, and did not provide the level of thoroughness I'm paying for. It felt lazy and incomplete. I documented the entire issue on video and sent it directly to the company. Not only was the service subpar, but the lack of response afterward made it worse. When customers have to provide evidence just to be taken seriously, that's a problem. Consistency matters. Accountability matters. If you're going to charge professional rates, provide professional service. At this point, I'm questioning whether to continue using this company. read more

We have been a happy client up until recent months. We were told by the new tech sent to the house he didn't have time to spray problem areas and he did not sweep webs in front or back of house. To make matters worse I immediately reach out to Annette to request service and at that time I acknowledged the rate increase was fine, we paid the increase, however our service was sub par at best. Over the next week I reached out to the owner and they did not respond. Finally a response over a week later, a short text stating extra service would be out following day. No apology, nothing. I reached out again with no response at all. We have used this service for a few years and Phillip and team have been great to work with. Something has happened in recent months with quality of work and techs. Annette has in the past always responded immediately. She is no longer responsive and worst of all non apologetic! I would highly encourage anyone looking for a bug service to go elsewhere. We are!! Where to begin with our amazing experience with Game Over Pest Control. --Excellent communication-- Phillip and his wife Annette are easy to communicate with. They are prompt with their responses and try to come out as soon as they can despite being a very busy business. They are extremely reliable, always doing what they say and being very transparent and straightforward. When we had Phillip come out for the initial inspection, he was extremely thorough, explained the entire process to us, was transparent in his findings, and detailed in his proposal. It was a simple decision to work with them. --Customized for our needs-- We have an old house downtown with lots of mature trees. Both those things make our pest control situation (rats) more complicated. Phillip was more than familiar working with not only newer houses but older houses like our own and setting realistic goals, again explaining the process and his strategy, which involves a lot more than just setting a few traps. Following his instructions, we could see evidence of his hard work by the end of the month. --Effective-- Game Over Pest Control is extremely effective, not only in addressing the immediate pest problem but coming up with a long-term plan so that the pests don't keep coming back. Phillip was keen to check the traps, see what works, see what doesn't and was constantly adapting to new information. He also didn't shy away from really poking around and being extremely thorough. He never "phones it in" and is exceptionally diligent with each visit. --Mindful of pets-- Finally, Phillip was very respectful and sensitive to our pets. We have two dogs and we were very hesitant to up our rat extermination efforts due to our dogs. Game Over uses high-quality bait, locked traps, and explained to us the process and why it was safe for pets. We have an adult dog and a curious puppy, and we have not had any issues. Very thankful for Phillip, Annette, and team. I contacted them since dealing with black widows, ants, and roaches. After agreeing to a plan Annette let me know Phillip and his guy would be out the next day to spray and get rid of the webs. They showed up when they said they would in the hottest part of Bakersfield summer day and busted their butt with the service. I have not seen one black widow and the only time I see roaches is if they are dead! I waited to write this review until I had proper time to do these craftsmen justice. Phillip and his team are true professionals. They could teach lessons. You can set a clock by them and rely on their extreme efficiency. They come in, break into teams and proceed to systematically clean, spray and eliminate. It is a wonder to see them work in a dashing display of speed and efficiency. When they are done with an area, it is clean as a whistle. And you are hard pressed to point out what they sprayed or where. With pinpoint accuracy, they go through your property without disturbing even a sleeping cat. If you have the fortune of talking with Phillip (And I became a pest myself, the only one they did not eliminate) you will reap the benefit of his extensive knowledge of insects and plagues of varied nature. He is a combination artisan, scholar and all around exceptionally nice person. After seeing them work the first time, we immediately set up a monthly contract and then asked Phillip to proceed with sealing any holes, slots, apertures of any kind that would allow access to vermin. And so they did. From attic to garage, the house is tightly sealed and free, entirely, of bugs or spiders. When we bought this house, it had clearly been neglected for a long time. Thanks to Phillip and his cohorts, our house is free and clear of pests. Certain areas even smell different (better), which is a constant reminder of the chemicals insects exude, that are now gone entirely. I just bought a house a month or so ago in downtown Bakersfield and it's be covered with spiders and webs EVERYWHERE. I tried getting rid of them on my own with spray and sweeping off the webs but they'd just come right back in just one or two days, it was crazy, I never saw anything like it before. I couldn't even walk out my door without walking through a web. I decided I needed help and found Game Over Pest Control, they say they're not the cheapest but they're the best, and definitely went with the right place. They came out, removed ALL the webs from the entire property, the house, the porches, and even the fence around the property. Then sprayed everywhere, even under the house in the crawlspace. The difference is night and day! The first service was 5 days ago and so far I don't see anything at all outside. I can finally use my front and back porch and I'm so happy. I haven't even seen a bug crawling on the ground since then. I signed up for a year of monthly service. I'm very happy and impressed with the results I'm seeing so far.
