I asked a simple question: if I signed and paid on 5/11, would my billing cycle start from that date, or would I still be billed on their regular cycle and lose part of the service period? I was not asking to avoid payment or get a discount. I simply wanted to understand what I was agreeing to before signing. Unfortunately, Rachel in billing did not seem clear on the answer, even though I had already discussed some of the details with Dan. That made me uncomfortable because billing and contract terms should be clearly understood by the company before asking a customer to commit for a full year. Instead of calmly answering the question, the tone changed and it felt like they became frustrated that I was asking about the contract at all. As a landlord who does not live in the Bakersfield area, I have to be extra careful about who I hire to service my property. I need to make sure the property is being properly maintained, the billing is clear, and the agreement is fair before I sign anything. Asking questions about a contract should not create tension or attitude from a company. I was genuinely interested in starting service, but this experience made me feel uncomfortable and hesitant. A customer should be able to ask basic contract and billing questions without feeling like they are being a problem. To me, that is not good business, especially when the customer is being asked to commit to a one-year agreement.

I worked for Benchmark Pest Control for seven years, and my experience with them was extremely disappointing. On November 4, 2020, I was assigned to a bee removal task with little to no training on proper procedures. During the job, I was instructed to lift a bucket approximately 40 feet into the air to remove a beehive from a tree. To my horror, I suddenly found myself surrounded by swarms of bees inside the protective suit provided by Benchmark Pest Control. It turned out that the suit had a faulty zipper on the back of the neck, allowing the bees to enter and sting me. I was stung around 17 times and later discovered that I am allergic to bees. In the aftermath of the incident, I went into epileptic shock and had to drive myself to the emergency room since no other technicians were available to assist me. I was then transported to San Joaquin hospital by Hall Ambulance, as accelerated urgent care was necessary. To my dismay, I later learned that Benchmark Pest Control did not have Worker's Compensation insurance, which meant I was left to cover the medical expenses and was even sent to collections. Despite the severe injuries I sustained while removing the beehive, Benchmark Pest Control refused to take responsibility or provide any compensation. My experience with Benchmark Pest Control was not only dangerous but also financially burdensome. I strongly advise against working for or hiring this company, as their negligence and lack of proper insurance coverage have resulted in significant harm and financial consequences for me. read more

At first I thought they did a good job but just over a week later I saw roaches and bugs in the exact spots where the "sprayed". also one of the employes washed out their chemicals on my front lawn before leaving. Not only is that illegal I now have 6x6 burned hole in my front lawn that I have not been able to regrow. look elsewhere, take my advice and stay as far away from this mom and pop shop as possible. read more

I went with Benchmark Pest Control about 4 moths ago. This is the best Pest Control service I've had. They are always here on time and got rid of my black widow problem. I had a couple gophers pop up in my back yard and they came out with what they call a Perc system and took care of the issue. Wonderful Service. Thanks Benchmark! read more
