I started out with Keith, who really understood my outdoor feral cats. He established a great routine to keep their food and water safe while doing the yard. I got "Soup" after Keith moved up, who also does a great job with the yard. Their efforts have knocked down any flea population so the animals aren't scratching all the time and stay healthy easier. I get smack about their food. Well that is complicated and it's often hard to explain that becaue of my ferals and the neighborhood cats, I DON'T have a vermin problem. Vermin flees in terror from my area XD. Then there's summer bugs. Roaches in Lincoln are BAAD and BIG, like freaking space invadors! I need an extra visit each year to really knock it down and then we're pretty good. It's not just my place. A lot of people including my neighbors have pets, dogs in the back yard, outdoor tame cats, and chickens. That's life and the bugs go for our goodies. Fortunately, extra visits for specific pest problems are not a problem. I used to try very hard in the past to do the stuff myself but it's a big pain on a busy schedule and no OTC products seem to work as well. After conferring with friends, one thing I've learned about Clark and other pest controls is the leaders apparently teach their people to "grade" the residence, like, Mild condition, moderate, severe, etc. I wish the upper echelon of pest controls, aka, management, would not make their people do this!! The forms the employees have to fill out is stupid in my opinion. Nobody wants to feel their home needs a good or bad grade. I should not have to feel like a "Karen" for pointing this out, either but I do. If our yards were perfect then we would not need service, lol. I'll take some pets and rodent rangers and neighborhood chickens over snakes and vermin any day! And btw people, don't kill possums and skunks. They are good critters. Tips and suggestions are helpful and fine. The leaders of pest controls should let the diligent workers focus on their job that they do well, and spend less time doing reports on each of their many properties. read more

10 years as a client and recently I needed to have my weed treatment delayed due to some foreseen circumstances. I was told my weed service ca be done and I could be billed at a later time. Service was rendered I was billed immediately. Messaged technician and he says he didn't even know I have weed service, when the earlier messages EXPLICITLY STATED weed service. Moving forward I called office to explain situation and let them know this was a HUGE mishap on their part and I'd be canceling all services with them after 10 years. Turns out I had a partial weed service that was done due to some gravel blocking my back 40 and was owed $150 back. The lovely lady I spoke to on the phone told me someone would be getting back to me about that refund. Weeks later nobody has gotten back to me and I'm out $150 for a treatment that wasn't done completely. Rotten service and lying about communication would serially make me dab at recommending this business to anyone. Enjoy the $150 yall came up on from me..... Is that called theft? read more

I would NEVER recommend Clark to ANYONE . This company takes your money and won't show up. I've had to call them MULTIPLE times to get them to come out when they are scheduled to do so . The final straw was my debit card being replaced and instead of them calling me asking why my payment didn't go through (it's on auto pay) they sent me to collections over 100 bucks! No courtesy call or even an email! I get an email about it being sent to collections only! Insanity! Never again. read more

I had a horrible experience. Used them for years. I had an ant issue and the tech told me to use Terro. I had a rodent issue and the tech told me they don't deal with rodents...come to find out...they DO! I have text communication back and forth with the tech regarding my issues over the years to prove that the tech was not helpful to solving my issues. All he did was spray outside around the house every 2 months. I didn't get help with anything else until I got a little more aggressive about asking. He claimed to his company that I didn't want him going inside the house. That is FALSE! I never said he couldn't come inside. I wanted help with the ants and then the rodents. And, come to find out, they are supposed to come inside, if needed, and I had a service I was not even utilizing because my tech was not offering it to me. After just a lot...I decided to cancel. When I called, they tried to keep my business, asked what they could do. I said I just wanted to cancel and see how it goes. They asked me to reconsider multiple times, followed up with additional phone calls to me. They said if I ever want to reactivate to feel free to give them a call. Just today, I decided that I do want to reactivate service again just for the outside spraying of pests, had an appointment for today. A guy calls back and tells me it would probably be best that I find another company due to the issues I had in the past and I would have the same techs. Alrighty then, I am on the hunt for a new pest control company. So much for 'come back if you ever need us'. It is very disappointing to say that Clark Pest Control does not stand behind their work and warranty. Five months ago work was done on my father in law's house, at a cost of $7,500.00. The work is stated in the contract to be guaranteed for one year. However, when more dry rot was found , in the same area , 5 months later, and brought to the attention of Clark Pest Control manager , the company would not agreeably take action or responsibility, and repair the property. A second company will need to provide the repair at additional expense. Very unprofessional that a company such as this, would not stand behind the warranty that they provided. I would never do business with this company again. Look elsewhere for better service. read more

I have used Clark Pest Control for over 25 years. Clark has serviced two of my Commercial properties 200,000 sqft and 4 Residential properties all located in the Bay Area. When I moved to the Sacramento area I chose Clark to service my home. All was going well until a new Tech serviced my home. The new Tech did not do what was asked after I walk him through the property. I called Clark and requested another visit and made very clear I did not want the same Tech back. Clark sent the same Tech back and I again did a walk through of the property and asked him to do what needed to be done as I was paying for the service. The next day I received a call from the Sacramento office stating that they were terminating my service due to the Tech's claim I was verbally abusive. I did not use nor is it in my nature to use foul or abrasive language when speaking people. I spent the better part of my day either on extended periods on hold or going up the ranks trying to find out what was going on. Bottom line, after being told my service was terminated by the Supervisor and Branch Manager, the regional VP called and told me my service would be restored. I declined his offer and will evaluate the Clark service on my other properties. I was taken a back that after 25 years as a loyal customer Clark took the word of an employee who by the way has only been with the company for 4 months????? Please be very careful if you decide to go with Clark!!!!!! If you want your character to be called into question then choose Clark. read more

By far, one of the best experiences ever! I would give them 10 stars if I could. First we had an ant invasion that was out of control at my moms house so I had an urgent call to Clarks and spoke with Janice. She listened to my concerns and scheduled an appointment for the same day ( in few hours) Then Jeff called on his way there so I could let my mom know to put the dog in a safe room before he came. After he did his assessment, he called and explained it to me. Then he sprayed and my mom noticed an immediate stop in the ant march! Jeff was very thorough in his explanation and very patient with my questions. The next day I called to inquire about a follow up appointment and Janice called me back right away to confirm the best appointment days and times. She took care of everything and with a smile in her voice. So nice to talk with someone who is experienced and makes me feel like she really cares. First of all I have severe arachnophobia and live in the country. I believe it states that in our file from Clark. We had a few technicians in and out for the first year. They always did a great job. I've had the same technician now for a few months his name is Jordan Frank and he goes above and beyond whenever he is called out in between visits. He's very pleasant to speak to you and he knows what he's doing. He asked me questions that I never thought of and provide services I never thought to ask for. When I discovered I had bed bugs, I called Clark first because we have a monthly service contract with them and I assumed spraying for the beasties would be included since Clark assured us when we signed up that all we had to do was report any pest issues and they come out and take care of it. Think again. Not only were bed bugs not included, they escalated to tenting the whole house immediately. Their inspector couldn't even find any bed bugs because my infestation was so minor. The only bed bug he could locate was the one I caught myself and turned over. Nevertheless he quoted me $9,300 to tent the entire house. He hyped bed bugs like some sort of unkillable, maniacally proliferating super-pests that are smart enough to evade all conventional treatments. He said heat treatments don't work (and would cost $2300 per room) and pesticide wasn't even an option. The procedure would kill all of my house plants (I would not be allowed to remove them from the premises because they could be infested) as well as any outside plants close to the house. A circumstance, which the inspector showed absolutely zero concern about, even though I expressed considerable upset about it (included in the proposed victims was a 10 year old Bonzai tree I love like a pet). So, for one bed bug which I caught myself and zero evidence of others, he wanted to tent my house, kill my plants, empty out my cupboards, freezers and fridge, force me to board my family and pets for 3-5 days and charge me $9300 for all that fun. For even better customer service, we were informed that just basic spraying for them was NOT included in our monthly service agreement and would cost an additional $2300. Needless to say, I got some second opinions. The other pest companies laughed outright at the idea of tenting for bed bugs. I eventually went with Earthwise Pest Management, whose inspector actually found the crafty little critters, determined they were a very minor infestation limited to only one room, and treated that ONE ROOM for $400, using non toxic methods. I am now bed bug free, zero tents required. Meanwhile Earthwise wants half what Clark is charging for their monthly service. Needless to say, I'm switching. read more

If I could give them a minus five stars I would! Beware of this company. They will try to gouge you by exaggerating and dramatizing your problem in order to make money. The "inspector" checked one room and then make a huge deal trying to scare us into hiring them to do the work. He refused to check the actual house or attic! I had another company come back the following week with an entirely different report which was much more positive and comprehensive. I hired the other company and the problem is dealt with. Clark Pest Control was rude and uncooperative and refused to provide any information about why the inspector did not inspect my house but rather just one area and made it sound so bad. The other company I hired to do the work found an entirely different situation and were much more honest about the inspection. There are many companies you can employ to do pest control. This one is dishonest and unprofessional and they will try to get as much money as possible from you by lying to you about your problem read more

The inspector came out and inspected the property from top to bottom. I scheduled the pest mitigation and the tech came out and was able to get the procedures completed in a timely manner. I found Clark and their crew out of Auburn, CA to be the most unprofessional distructive company that I personally have ever dealt with. Not only did they not return phone calls or finish the job, they were insensitive, non listening, little to no experience in most areas and most of all destructive!! They caused over $1,000 in damage in personal belongings by carelessly dumping jewelry, clothing and housewares onto the floor while stomping on them. I wish I could attach a photo of the careless distruction. Jeremy (sales rep) seen the pictures and said himself that the aftermath was uncalled for and never had his crew be so careless. Please everyone make sure you actually do need Professional Pest Control. When I met my husband he had them out spraying for spiders...99% of spiders are actually beneficial, we are no longer spraying. Also, do you know what else you are killing in the process? I did not like the fact they wanted us to sign up to spray for ants...even after I said we don't have an ant problem! We lost a beautiful azalea we believe because they cleaned out their equipment with our water hose next to the plant. Wow I should have read all the negative reviews about this place before I got involved. I tried to get a quote over the phone and got a big run around should have known at that point this place was going to be a problem. I was busy with work and had a terrible infestation so I let the them do the job anyway.They came out numerous times but the problem continued and I had to call Terminix to get it done finally.
