I used to see Dr Toman when I lived in Cumming years ago. I always remembered the practice to be kind and friendly and I remembered Dr Toman to be thorough and patient. Now that I'm living in Cumming again, I've decided to come back to the practice. Mikayla was super friendly and thorough in taking notes and making sure my chart was up to date. Dr. Toman greeted me with a welcome back and a hand shake. He did a thorough exam and I wanted to know more about LASIK. He stated that I am likely not a great candidate for LASIK as my prescription isn't bad enough and that I'm more farsighted so LASIK was likely not going to help me and could potentially make things worse. I really appreciate when professionals advise you on things that are best for you and not on things that are best for their pockets. This means a lot to me and shows he cares about my well being. I also love that they offer Optomap so I don't have to get my eyes dilated as that's such an uncomfortable feeling. I would highly recommend Dr Toman! read more

am very disappointed with their cancellation policy. The staff were unwilling to waive the cancellation fee and repeatedly justified it by saying the fee was nominal compared with what cardiologists charge and that they still incur staffing costs. Given that I have been a customer for several years, I expected some flexibility when I needed to reschedule because of an out-of-town business trip. Their unwillingness to accommodate a long-standing customer is frustrating and makes me question whether it is worth continuing to use their services. In addition, their frames appear to be significantly marked up to align with insurance coverage. Overall, the decline in service quality has become increasingly noticeable. read more

The pre-screening was a nightmare. There were two technicians and I assume one was in training (though this was not stated). Clearly the one in training didn't know what she was doing, but the other one was giving NO direction. Then she gaslit me when I said the machine should not be touching my eyelid (never did before), and she said that was correct. They have a new eye scanning machine and they did not say it was new and different ahead of time. First they didn't bother adjusting it to my height so I was scrunched down. I was the one to tell them (twice) to lift it up so that it aligned properly. Then I was told to smoosh my right cheek up against the machine (so my was head is turned left), but still somehow look ahead. When they finally did the scan, it did some extra stuff (red lines, flashing) that she didn't bother to tell me about ahead of time. Then because they had no clue how to align someone properly with the new machine, my scan wasn't correct and they wanted to redo it (and this was just one eye so far)! I was done at that point and walked out. I have never walked out of an eye appt. Usually easy and pretty quick. My husband and son were also given the wrong prescriptions! read more

They never arrived - so went back and purchased a different pair. Two months later, I called just to get a refund on the glasses that never arrived and they refused. Saying there was something in the fine print of what I signed that apparently allows them to take your money but not actually deliver the goods. Hard to believe they are in business. read more

I have been going to Clarity Vision for years. It was such a good experience and service when Dr. Wiggers was there, also good with Dr. Toman except for the last visit with him. He seemed rushed and bothered. Then, I met the most undesirable and rude person, a lady that not only hung up on me, but told me she did in my face very defiantly when I picked up my glasses. We have been seeing this doctor since the clinic opened, I even assigned this clinic to my company as a preferred eye doctor for our employee benefits program. but we are now quite disappointed. Yesterday, my 16-year-old went in for an exam. My child's grandpa helped with signing the form. When it came to the contact lens fitting section, grandpa signed the first initial, but my son explained that he didn't need a contact lens fitting, so grandpa circled it. Among the three initials on the form, two were double letters, and one was circled. However, it seems the doctor might have misinterpreted it. During the examination, he proceeded with a contact lens fitting, even though my son didn't realize it was happening and didn't say anything. The doctor sent him to the contact lenses room and the staff then sent him to checkout directly. As a result, we were charged for the fitting. We returned to discuss this with the front desk today, but they insisited that the initial was there. When I asked who reviewed the form, they simply insisted that my child's grandpa had signed it. They also claimed that since my son underwent the contact lens fitting, the charge was valid. The way they handled our concerns was extremely disappointing. Instead of addressing the issue responsibly, they seemed more focused on shifting the blame to us. To make matters worse, they advised that I, as the parent, should have come in person and not sent a non-English-speaking grandparent, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I had a very bad experience with them with my order for prescription sunglasses. I ordered my first prescription sunglasses two weeks back. I was having head ache even after wearing them for few days and I took it back to them today. One of the staff called me dishonest and told me I was lying. Although they agreed to change the glasses , it was a really bad experience. Also the frames are overpriced. They charged me $180 for a frame which is listed at $144 in RayBan website and the prescription lenses were $260 out of which $110 was out of pocket. read more

What a terrible disappointment this morning! I have loved this place for my eye care and will thank Dr Toman to my dying day for what he did to help this old Korean War veteran see well for the first time in 80 years. However, as for Emily, whoever she is, how terrible! I asked her to help me get some new work glasses and it went downhill from there. She insisted I book an exam even though I told her I see fine with the glasses I have. I offered to pay for the exam just to get the glasses she said we are required to give the exam since it has been over a year since you were in. I asked her again who she is. She answered I am Emily. Yes, I got that what do you do? She answered I answer the phone. How can such a fine Group hire such a person as Emily? Be careful going here for eye care! This used to be a nice place, but my experience was very bad at this time. My son's glass was lost and he was in an urgent need of consultation. We called them and requested for a schedule, they said they have availability only after two weeks. Since we used to go there, we wait for two weeks and I confirmed the appointment twice. But during the appointment day they canceled it and saying they can schedule after 1 month, what a joke. Reason they said was I haven't reconfirm the appointment. Dr. didn't find partial contact in my eye! I made an appointment as I thought part of a contact was still in my eye. The doctor put two types of eye drops in my eye before he examined my eye. He didn't find part of a contact, just some abrasions. My eye was still hurting the next morning and, lo and behold, I found part of the contact in my eye. I called to report my discovery. The woman who answered the phone was not sympathetic. She just said I'll pass this information on to the doctor next time he is in. I won't be returning. read more

USED TO LOVE this place. Dr. Lee is the absolute greatest! But one bad staffer, Emily, who is clearly having a bad day, can ruin the entire experience WITH HER JUST AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one needs her Karen level of snark. I simply called to get my glasses prescription for a cheapo pair of glasses online to burn my FSA dollars. Snotty and unapologetic, she gave me incomplete info and would not transfer me to another employee to get better service. I'm an older customer and was very unhappy with this business. Distance vision with the new glasses was as blurry with the new glasses as it was without them. They had another optimologist (at the store) re-examine my eyes and he said they could make an adjustment, But when I went back to get the glasses, it was as if they made no correction at all. I became suspicious when I was handed a sheet of paper listing prices for cataract surgery and was told the perscription they gave me was as good as my vision could get...without surgery. I'd be prone to believe them if I didn't have an older pair of glasses that tells me otherwise. The nose section is broken, but at least I can use them for driving. Do yourself a favor...don't go here if you're a senior citizen. They evidently think old people are stupid. read more

I would never recommend this place. They did not make my glasses correctly after my annual visit. I see things slightly doubled when I wear their glasses and that gives me terrible headache. I gave the glasses for correction few times and every time it turned back to me the same. When I called them for this issue, they asked me to keep using the glasses and I'll get adjusted to it. Is this a way anyone would suggest for patients? I have been wearing glasses since my childhood and have never come across this kind of a doubled vision issue with any of the glasses I had in the past. Why would anyone screw their vision by wearing a doubled vision glasses just because of a vision center's mistake? They kept insisting to wear the glasses for 2 weeks and see If I still feel uncomfortable which for sure it is. They couldn't correct/find their mistake on the glasses and not ready to refund the money either. Once you go for service, even if you are in network, they would still loot a few hundreds $ from your pocket with all the terminologies on the receipt. By god's grace if the glasses come out right, its your good time. Otherwise you are the loser at the end and they will not take responsibility for their mistake, neither would they care to refund your money. Giving it 1 star since I can't post my comment without a star. I would give -10 stars if I could. Please think twice before you select this place. read more

I left my previous eye doctor in Cumming, simply because their front office staff customer service attitude was below average. Not friendly or helpful at all. They just sound like they hate their job from the time they answer the phone. Everyone at Clarity was very friendly, helpful, top notch customer service. They accommodated my appointment and my 8 year old daughter's appointment on the same day, back to back. This was her first vision care appointment and they were wonderful with her. Could not be happier with the service here. I needed to replace my glasses as I had crushed the old frames. I stopped in here to look at frames. The office had just gotten a new shipment of frames. The selection was great. I had so many to choose from! The technician called and got my current eye glass prescription to fill the order. Everything went well. The staff was pleasant and courteous . I did not see the doctor at this visit but will return when I do. Nice office, fresh decor, great selection of frames and helpful professional staff. My husband and I moved out here from California last year and have had to find new doctors, dentists, etc. Clarity Vision Group is seriously a blessing. The staff and Doctor were fantastic. They close at 1:00pm on Saturdays and did not rush me when I was choosing frames...I probably walked out around 1:15-1:20pm. If there were 10 stars I'd give Dr. Wiggers and his staff a 10++++. I have been a patient for years and have always been impressed by the comprehensive exam and time that Dr. Wiggers spends explaining the results. This year I am even more impressed. Please read on. I took my 15 year old daughter to see Dr. Wiggers. She has had vision issues and visited a well known pediatric ophthalmologist since age 5. Due to her vision issues I didn't feel comfortable with her seeing anyone else. However, her pediatric ophthalmologist retired and we were unimpressed with another doctor in the practice. It certainly wasn't worth the hour drive and months of waiting for an appointment. So, we gave Dr. Wiggers a try for my daughter. He and his stay performed an extremely comprehensive exam, explained everything to both she and I, answered all of her questions and helped her find a beautiful pair of glasses. In fact, my 15 year even commented that it was the best (and most extensive ) eye exam she'd ever had. Thank you Dr. Wiggers!! read more

I guess I'm the outlier, but I did not find the optometry part of Clarity Vision Group customer-focused. In fact, I find them downright hostile. My credit card was charged the day after I paid for an order for prescription sunglasses. The order could not be filled as promised and I cancelled the order on June 28th. Today is July 9th and still the charge has not been credited back to my account. I contacted the sales person who said that the charge was credited back to my account on June 28th. How can a charge hit a credit card within 24 hours of a purchase, yet not appear as a credit all these days later? I talked with Wells Fargo who advised me to wait until yesterday; I gave it an extra day and now it's time to dispute the charge. read more
