Since these were my first progressive lenses, I later stopped by Windermere Optique to have them checked. Andy initially told me it would cost $80. When I said that seemed unusually high, he spoke with the doctor and then came back saying the charge would only be $30. The large difference in price after a simple conversation left me questioning the pricing process and did not inspire confidence. Combined with the lack of follow-up on my original order and the rude customer service, this was a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this office based on how I was treated.

They have a 30 day redo which I was not told about. Life got in the way and I went back after 30 days. Told them I had a new prescription and that other places looked at the lenses and said they were over magnified. I even offered to pay half to have them remade the correct way. All they offered me was retail price of $650!!! So I am out $250 and have no insurance lens money left. They are very unreasonable and should correct their mistake. Do not use these guys! In addition, their frames appear to be significantly marked up to align with insurance coverage. Overall, the decline in service quality has become increasingly noticeable.

Then she gaslit me when I said the machine should not be touching my eyelid (never did before), and she said that was correct. They have a new eye scanning machine and they did not say it was new and different ahead of time. First they didn't bother adjusting it to my height so I was scrunched down. I was the one to tell them (twice) to lift it up so that it aligned properly. Then I was told to smoosh my right cheek up against the machine (so my was head is turned left), but still somehow look ahead. When they finally did the scan, it did some extra stuff (red lines, flashing) that she didn't bother to tell me about ahead of time. Then because they had no clue how to align someone properly with the new machine, my scan wasn't correct and they wanted to redo it (and this was just one eye so far)! I was done at that point and walked out. I have never walked out of an eye appt. Usually easy and pretty quick. My husband and son were also given the wrong prescriptions!

I understand that this is a rule, but it would have been much more appropriate if she would have just kindly knocked and told us that from outside the dressing room instead of trying to come in when we were undressing. We both felt very uncomfortable afterwards and felt that they could have communicated their rules in a more appropriate way.
