The progressive eyeglasses were unuseable because the lens area was too small to support the prescription. After spending $1,378 on two pairs of glasses, I mistakely believed Clarity would stand behind its work. They said would "make us happy" and offered a refund, but then refused to answer many phone calls, emails, and letters when we asked for one. It is insulting to be treated by Clarity in such a dismissive and deceptive way. I have never been treated in this way by any business. I wish I could give Clarity zero stars and sue them in small claims court. read more

Beware for not all appears ass it seems here. Best to go elsewhere especially as a college student. The don't stand behind their product for defects. Don't pay for the eye map scan either, money in their pocket. If insurance doesn't see the benefit, you do not need. Simply put, Clarity is the best run professional office I've ever been to. The staff is unfailingly cordial, helpful, and knowledgeable, as are the doctors. Great eye exam, the doctor prescribed me new lenses for my astigmatism which have greatly reduced my headache frequency and eye strain.

I ordered my glasses from Clarity eye care and within 10 minutes I called them to cancel my order since I was getting the exact same glasses for 1/2 the price. They said they would hold 50% of the payment and were rude and inconsiderate on the phone. When I visited their location in collegetown, the said they will call me back the same day, but never did. I would strongly recommend to go to other opticals in Ithaca with better customer service and more reasonable return policy. Terribly disappointed and felt cheated. read more

He over corrected my eyes too much and it caused my vision to change too much. I had to get a new prescription every year instead of every 2-3 years. I couldn't get Lasix because my vision changed too much. When I told him about it he got upset that I wanted Lasix. I think this practice is concerned with ringing ppl or for a much money a possible. I was referred to Clarity Eye care by a colleague at work when I first moved to Ithaca and was looking for a new optometrist. Dr. Bryant and his team are true professionals. They are personable, reliable and pay close attention to detail. Their facility is well maintained, up to date and extremely welcoming. I personally fear the dreaded "burst of air" test and at Clarity, it is always easy peasy. I renewed my contacts prescription here. This is one of the few places that permit you to try on different brands prior to ordering a few months' worth of prescription. This is in exchange for a fee, but you can try on as many different types as you would like to ensure the fit is right. Dr. Bryant is patient, kind and very attentive during meetings. I also picked up a pair of glasses here and their selection is wonderful. They carry many styles and brands - everything from environmentally conscious brands to celebrity name brands. I highly recommend Clarity Eye Care and will be sticking around with them for a while. read more

Had an eye appointment with Dr. Bryant. With insurance the contact fitting was $45. Unfortunately, he gave me an underpowered prescription saying he wanted me to try them to see if we could get rid of the astigmatism correction. Came back 4 days later for a contact refit and they gave me another pair of trials, looked at my eyes for 30 seconds and then charged me $75. People up front are very nice, but charging me again to fix his mistake is bad form. read more

I became a patient at Clarity a few years ago when I moved to Ithaca as a student. Dr. Bryant and his staff are professional, accommodating, and thorough. I go each year for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting. I have had no trouble finding an appointment time that works for my schedule within a reasonable time frame, typically within a week of calling. All the folks at the office are respectful of your time (there is minimal wait). The staff is prepared in advance with my paperwork, files, any rebate forms I can use for my order, and they are always willing to help if there are questions. The office is very familiar with the vision insurance coverage for Cornell students. Dr. Bryant is friendly and pays great attention to detail - I feel confident my vision is in the right hands! read more

OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL! I first visited Dr. Bryant of Clarity Eye Care when he first got out of Medical School and was seeing patients in Reading, PA! It was THE BEST eye exam I ever had (I'm in my early 60's so I've seen many Optometrists over the years). I was very disappointed when he moved to upstate NY but decided he was worth the 7 Hour Round-Trip. Although I do have a local Optometrist for routine exams here in Collegeville PA, I DO TRAVEL to Ithica NY/Clarity Eye Care every 2-3 years for an examination by Dr. Bryant.
