I got my piercings here and I chose a Yellow Gold 3Hz circle piercing. It was my firsts and the workers were really nice but I don't get the "free" earrings, it was actually 60 and they said the solution was free that comes with it but it was 20 when I looked at the receip. A few days later my right earring got embedded inside my ear and I had to get it removed. My left ear was swelling up and was starting to embed. I applied the solution everyday, 3 times a day as they told, and it stinged and swelled every single time I did. Not recommending getting piercings here. read more

When I asked for a gift receipt the staff worker didn't know how to print and wasted so much of my time. When we tried to return the gift, the lady was cold and took a while as well. My current obsession is fake nails and I know they had a great selection. When I say great, I mean massive!!!!! There were so many choices I literally looked through each one because even the ones behind it were different. Unfortunately the only downside is that it's definitely a bit pricey for sure but if you take care of them, you can use it a few times to get your money's worth. My husband went here to get his other ear pierced (why here, I don't know). We stood at the register for 5 minutes, watching this lady pretend to be doing something on her cash register, trying not to make eye contact with us. She finally glanced up and saw me looking at her, then asked if we needed help. lol. She brushed us off to the other worker who actually was busy doing her job. The piercing went relatively smoothly, although the earring didn't close properly and had to be pushed closed manually. Aftercare instructions were given quickly and robotically, followed by "any questions?" No thanks, we'll Google it. We were given a 3 week aftercare solution and sent on our way. I highly recommend going to a real piercing artist instead. Some of Claire's "starter earrings" are too big and completely unfit for a new piercing. And they say you can change earrings after 3 weeks. UNTRUE!!! Your ears need a minimum of 6 weeks to heal enough to change earrings. Overall, poor experience with bad piercing practices. read more

Atrocious customer service. There was who I could only assume was a shift lead (I believe her name was Sonia. She had a flower tattoo on her forearm) who was yelling at customers to move if they wanted help. I tried to get my earrings that were included with my piercing and I was told I couldn't because what I was purchasing was "licensed." When I pointed at the terms of the purchase and that there was no exclusion mentioned that she was talking about, this person threw their hands in the air and told me too bad, she had no way to help. I've been to this Claire's location a few times for my daughter. The merchandise is cute and cheap but some of the brand name toys are regular or overpriced. The thing I dislike most about this store is how unorganized it is and how unprofessional the store associates are. It's very crowded with displays and hard to navigate through when more than a few people are in the store. They often have sales but 3 get 3 free but it comes out to being regular price in the end. The last time I went last week to buy some birthday presents the store associates were all chatting in the middle behind the registers and I could hear them talking badly about a customer. I waited patiently in front of the register that was in their view so they would see me and after a few minutes of ignoring me to talk they just pointed at me and twirled their finger to the other side to point at the other register in a very rude manner without saying a word. I said how are you doing and thank you and everything but they just continued chatting with each other and didn't acknowledge me or even tell me the total. I finished my transaction and left. I really wish this Claire's was more clean and organized but especially that the staff remember good customer service because it's in such a busy mall I'm sure I'm not the only one who have had a negative experience. My children and I were just at the Irvine Spectrum location. My 9 year old picked out something to purchase. I showed Rosy an email that I received two days ago for $10 off $10 for my birthday. She said it's expired. I said it expires 5/31/2023 and showed her the email once again. Stfny (per her name tag) walked over to help. I said that Rosy said it's expired to which she replied that Rosy didn't say that which is not the case. I offered to give her my phone number to look up my account and gave her the code for the discount. She said to delete the email which I did. She then wanted me to show her that I deleted it. I said no I'm not going to do that because it's unnecessary. She said she didn't want me to use it again. I said believe me I won't be back. She applied the discount and walks away. Rosy bagged the item left it on the counter along with the receipt and walked away. All of this over a $10 reward. They were both so rude which was so unnecessary. read more

Hmm. Such an unfortunate experience. We came here excited to take my 5 year old to pierce her ears. She had been asking for a while so we finally decided to bring her. My daughter was so excited as was I. She wasn't scared or nervous. We unpleasantly were helped by Brenda I think I heard her name was. Yuck. She had the most stank attitude, miserable Fuchi face. Like if you're so miserable why work there. She had such an uninviting Ora and personality. Anyways , my daughter got her ears pierced, she did do well didn't cry or flinch! I give Claire No star. On May 15 29, 2023, I went to pierce my ears, costing me 94 $. Then, on May 19, 2023, I complained to the same store. My ears were red, swollen, and painful. The lady at the store called her manager, and they said you could take the earrings out, and we could give you 20% off your next purchase. But they did not provide a refund. Great customer service all thanks to Abbey, who was truly a delight and very reassuring while piercing my ears. If you're like me and have questions about symmetry/placement of second piercings I would look into having Abbey pierce your ears. She was honestly wonderful and I can't say that enough. For example, at one point I started feeling unsure about the placement of the second dot and I just told her wherever is best. She truly chose the best spot. It was perfectly symmetrical and let me tell you, I'm a menace who does not have symmetrical ears! I don't write a lot of reviews but I want to say I am happy that Claire's provides excellent service as I know it can be kind of scary for some getting piercings. If I had other choices, I would not have used them for ear piercing. The saleslady who helped us was simply not professional! I only had the feeling that she didn't want to do the job. She just gave me the iPad of the agreement to fill in and sign. I didn't mind that she gave no explanation for someone who had ear piercing for the first time, however, she should at least allow time for people to finish reading the long terms on the agreement prior to signing, right?! The way she talked and acted impatiently just made you pressurized to just sign it! Went to have additional lob piercing. They DO NOT match their online pricing which states "free piercing" with the kit purchase which was to be $59.00. Apparently that store doesn't price match to their online pricing which is absolutely ridiculous. I was then told her (I don't even remember her name I was so annoyed) assistant manager said so and I'd have to wait for her break to be over. The girl went back to doing whatever. What a joke of a company to sell themselves like that and not honor their online prices, obviously one can't get pierced online. The coupons don't work either. Her level of customer service was beneath acceptable and snotty. While waiting for the assistant manager I walked over top Kay's and their staff was lovely and my ears are pierced. This experience was very poor due to the terrible customer service. My friend and I went to get piercings and Sara seemed agitated throughout the entire process, even though my friend and I were really looking forward to getting these new piercings together. We were also charged for the rapid solution when we wanted the standard solution because they ran out of the standard solution which they failed to mention that until we returned later. They wouldn't refund the money either. The price was over $70, which is just as much as a piercing from a professional tattoo/piercing parlor, so I would recommend going to a different place if you are considering Claire's. read more

I got my ears pierced here a year ago. I did get tons of infections even though I followed after-care instructions to the letter, so I wouldn't recommend getting them pierced here. If you do, make sure you get someone that's been there a while and knows what they're doing. If you buy regular-priced earrings and other jewelry here, it can get pricey. However, the last time I went, I stumbled upon their red-line sell where their discounted earrings only cost a dollar. So obviously I went ahead and stocked up on earrings. Be sure to check the quality of the earrings before you buy them. Check the backs to make sure the posts are straight and not rusted and that all of the earrings have their respective stops or clasps, and that there is a pair of every set, if you're buying a pack of earrings. The stuff you buy here is a little cheap, so don't throw it around and expect it not to break. If you treat it well, it'll last much longer. I have yet to break any of my earrings from here because I'm always careful with them. read more

Poor customer service, would not recommend getting your piercings here. I never would have to begin with but the place I originally was going to get them done was unavailable that day. I feel like the process felt rushed and the staff was pretty dismissive. It makes me scared that a lot of young girls have Claire's as their default to get their piercings as I feel like rushing through the process and information can lead to infections for a lot of people. I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Claire's today. I took my best friend and my sister to get their ears pierced this evening, and was disheartened when met with very poor customer service. Sara was very short when explaining the piercing process, charged my sister and friend for the most expensive ear solution without explaining that they ran out of the standard solution, and made a quite offensive side comment about my own piercing placements. This was embarrassing as it was the first time my sister had gotten her ears pierced. I came here to pierce my daughter's ears. The first time it was a wait of over an hour because one girl was on her lunch break (she took longer than 30 min), and the other had already begun on other clients. Not only that, when it was done, I think that it was done incorrectly as my daughter's ear got infected. Furthermore, the ears were so off and uneven. I thought it was me at first, then asked a few people and they all could see that one side was more further back on the earlobe than the other ear. I had to remove the earrings, wait until it was healed, and go back to re-pierce them as they would not give a refund. When we went back to get it re-done, everything seemed fine. They fixed the holes so that it was even and gave a new bottle of solution for my trouble. Yet within two weeks the earring back continued to fall off. During sleep or just during the day playing at school. I complained and was told it could be replaced since I still had one earring and one back missing and the other whole one missing. Yet when I called back to make sure that the manager was in to approve it before I drove all the way out there, she said that it is not possible I would have to re-purchase a whole new set. Which was over 70 dollars! Avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth the back and forth and your money will just go down the drain. read more

I thought the guns were more like a spring loaded gun rather than a little toy thingy that relies on the person's manual squeezing the thingy to advance the needle through the ear. Seriously, those people, if they wanted to, can squeeze very slowly and torture a poor child. My daughter let out a yell and made the next person in line a little nervous. As far as jewelry goes, lots of cheap stuff to keep your little princess happy. If adults are looking for better quality items that won't tarnish, make fingers blue and be around for decades, I'd suggest Macy's or Nordstrom. My daughter got her ears pierced here and they did a fine job: - Clean environment - workers sanitized, wore gloves, etc. - Comfortable for kids - workers were calm, caring, and offered my daughter a teddy bear to hold - Both ears done at once - in order to alleviate some of my daughter's fear/apprehension they had two workers pierce her ears at the same time rather than doing one and then the other - We followed their instructions and have had no infections Some of the stuff in here is pretty junky and overpriced but they always seem to have cute, fun things on sale that kids/teens will love. read more

I got my cartilage pierced here and it was fine. I was worried at first because I read some reviews saying that their ears got infected from the gun but they use prepackaged earrings and they also sanitize their hands and other equipment (including the gun) to make sure everything is clean. Overall, it's definitely a good place to get a piercing and it seems to me that those whose ears did get infected either bought a lower quality earring, didn't take care of their piercing properly, or just have really sensitive ears/skin. So the only real downside is that the earrings do cost quite a bit. I think it's worth it just because I like the quality of their earrings. I still have the ones that I bought from them when I got my lobes pierced 7 years ago. They gave me a 20% off coupon with the piercing which was awesome because they also had a $5 sale on accessories so I got a lot of good stuff for a good price. read more

Got my ears pierced by here last night. I've gotten both lobe piercings done here and have no problems. Everything is sanitized beforehand. They use pre-packaged needles as well as gloves while doing the quick procedure. Healing process is fairly simple: the higher up your ear you go, the longer it takes to heal. My second lobe piercing will probably take about 8 weeks but I'm leaving it in even longer since last time I was too eager to switch them out and the holes ended up closing lol :( They give you a sanitizer solution with the piercing. Clean the piercings (front and back) 3x a day and make sure to move it around. Simple, clean, and decently priced. The employees don't rush to do the ear piercing which is nice. read more

I came to get my ears pierced on a friday night and encountered two of the rudest and inattentive employees ever. The two girls (not sure what their names were), one with relatively long hair& average height and the other who is much shorter in height wears glasses. After piercing someone's ears, the girl with long hair leaves and starts talking to her coworker whilst directly looking at me, knowing what she is doing. I wait 15 minutes before the other girl is able to help me and she does, yet it is evident through her attitude that she is reluctant to do it. I will be contacting the manager in a short time to fix this problem if it isn't on its own. read more

Took my 7 year old daughter in on April 30th for an ear piercing. It was her birthday present. It took my daughter many weeks to get the courage to do this. I noticed a day or so after the piercing that the earing in the right ear didn't seem to sit right in the earlobe. Four days later my daughter began complaining. I noticed that the earing stem wasn't sitting in the hole on the back clasp. Instead, it was turned and stuck through one of the openings. I went back to Claire's for help or some type of readjustment. The assistant manager, Kimberly Cortez told me I should call 1800 Claire's. She fiddled with the earing and asked my daughter if it bothered her. She then said she would have to break the front of the earing off to get it out. She suggested I wait a few weeks and try myself. I told her that the earing was placed in my daughters ear incorrectly. She admitted this does happen. I asked for a refund and to speak with an actual store manager. Again I was redirected to the 1800 number. Begrudgingly, she wrote down the manager's full name and the store number. Using a bit of coconut oil, I was able to coax the earing apart. Now that it's out of her sore ear, the hole is too tiny to re-insert the earing. After spending almost $60.00, I find this service unacceptable. Not to mention my daughter's emotions about the issue. Please never go to Claire's for an ear piercing. They don't want the liability in the event you need assistance afterwards. I will never shop there again. read more

worst ear piercing experience ever!!!!!!!!!! i went to claires to get my triple piercing on thanksgiving night and as soon as they put the earrings in my ears i felt excruciating pain!! my ear was as big as an elephant and as purple as an eggplant!! along with the discomfort the terrible young lady apparently needed glasses because she made my piercings so uneven!! none of the employees at claires know anything about ears and if they ever try to inform u about anything just know its very very false. if there was a way to give them a negative star rating i would definitely be doing that rn so just consider this review an infinite amount of negative stars. if u want ur ears to look good dont even think about going to claires cause theyll make u look like trash. all of claires employees should probably take their free time to go to where they really belong... the circus cause theyre all clowns!!!!! i hope this review helped u and trust me im saving ur life!!!!! thank u read more
