I've visited twice once for a day party another at night. What I do have to say is they allow such trashy behavior. There was obvious escorts there only reason I know is because one tried to recruit me. Bouncers were staring at the same girl later pretty much dry humping a client in the pool where EVERYONE was swimming and said nothing. Yet two girls were kissing and were told to "cut it out or leave". People were pretty much screwing in the pool and doing drugs yuck I'm not trying to share bodily fluids with hookers. So much for a high class club. The drinks are over priced $16 for a beer I bought one and that's it I could buy two shots elsewhere for the same price. At night the music has no variety and they imply a strict dress code based on race. This is more strictly applied on the guys. While I'm Hispanic I didn't have a hard time getting in because I guess I'm a girl. I passed up like 20 guys Latinos, Blacks, and Asians not being let in because it was "packed" yet me and 3 friends were let right in. When we got in there was more than enough space! The only plus is the huge mirror in the restroom although I wished the chandelier actually had light and not just a cheap decoration. Save your money and time go somewhere else! So many other places that are willing to earn your money be being respectful, fair, and providing great customer service. This is one of those establishments that has its own clientele and does not care to earn new clients.

Sickick...!

My friend and I went to Cle' on Sunday to see Sickick, and truly had a fantastic time! Great mix of people, all colors, ages, shapes and sizes, hanging out harmoniously by the pool. We were lucky enough to grab a cushion close to the DJ. Two DJ's spinned before Sickick and the 2nd one was excellent and got the party started. If he is the in-house DJ, I would absolutely go back to see him. The drinks were strong when we specified the liquor. The food was chef quality...we had a Cajun noodle dish...delish. I recommend prepaying for a midtown garage parking spot ahead of time if you don't want to pay $30 for valet. We paid in cash for everything to avoid any potential credit card problems. People were friendly and open. I think Cle' on a Sunday does Houston proud!

What dayclub doesn't provide towels? Club overall seems a bit run down. Cocktails start at $13, beers $8

heard not-so-good things about this place so I just kept avoiding to go until last week. I was invited to my friend's friend birthday party and I really had a good time. The music was good, edm/hip-hop and everyone was friendly. The staff at the bar was really fun and welcoming too. I really like how the bar was setup, cute interior. Maybe I was wrong about them "being racist" because we didn't encounter anything like that. One tip for guys, you need to wear a collared shirt! If you wear plain t-shirt, they will not let you in. I think I will definitely return for other day time pool parties and events! The place overall was pretty spacious and clean which I liked!

Me and a friend (who's white) happened to walk by Clé one day when it had just opened up and decided to check this place out. Denied! The second time around a few months later, me and that same friend tried again. However, this time around, we had a secret weapon - a white girl. Denied. Again! The third time around, it was me and that same friend with two other girls. Again, we were denied!! At this point, I had pretty much given up on Clé. I'm not White enough, tall enough, hot enough, or rich enough to get in. It wasn't until that same friend who had been repeatedly denied entry to this place made a reservation for a couple of tables was I able to get in. This was a Friday night and from the people who came late, I was informed that there was a line snaking out the door with people being denied entry. During this same time (between 11 and 11:30 pm), the dance floor was pretty much empty. It wasn't until a little past midnight that this place really got packed. The waitresses assigned to our tables were good looking. However, they were only friendly to the birthday boy and not to the whole group in general. Oh well. Bottle service prices are pretty much on par with other clubs and they offer $100 discount listed prices if you order more bottles before 11:00 pm. I did have a good time when I was able to gain entry to this club and hence, the two-stars rating instead of one. However, I believe that would be my first and also my last entry to Clé because I'm pretty sure the next time I walk up here and try to get in, I will again be denied. Hello and goodbye, Clé. Hello and goodbye...

Very nice club - Clé! As we all know if you are taking the time to read this post that clubs can be hit or miss! Clé was definitely a hit IMO! The layout and atmosphere was unique and added to the cachet of the club! I would recommend a section as this club appears to be on the upper end of establishments that I have visited thus far during my short time in Houston! Although a section was not needed on the Saturday night I most recently attended it would be recommended; but with enough liquor in you with the right amount of friends around you can do without lol. You will have a wonderful time! Check it out if this is your thing. For those that are experts here, I am not much of a club goer but had a solid time here!

Are there lockers for rent to keep personal items?

No there is no lockers available. It is very busy and You gotta keep an eye out for your things

My first time is going to be Sunday. If the ticket says 2-8 does anyone know what time the dj comes on or does he play the whole time?

It depends really when my friends and I went to see Nora en pure, they had a starter DJ for about two hours then at about 3 Nora showed up and started her set. We didn't stay all the way till eight , but for sure she played on until about 4 hours .

How much is the cover? Planning to go on a Friday night with a few friends for my 21st birthday

Valet is $20 entrance is $10 if they like you...

How is it legal to deny me entry for not wearing heels if my illnesses physically prevent me from doing so?

That was the excuse they gave you because they didn't like you.

We went on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty crowded, but once we found our spot in the Gold Room, we stayed there most of the night. Great music, great energy, and a unique concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ

For starters, this is located in the "other" midtown away from the trendy restaurants and bars and literally on the other side of the tracks south of Main. What I'm getting at is it's sketchy as hell. If you park on the street there, there is a pretty good chance it'll get broken into since the street lights have mysteriously been knocked out and you have a large homeless and/or druggie population wandering around. We had a large enough crowd that we decided to walk down there the couple of blocks. Getting in is also interesting since they give you the TSA treatment and get the metal detector out and ask you to empty your pockets while mean mugging you if you don't know which way the entrance is. Inside has the classic beatdown downtown warehouse decor but on the plus side, the AC works, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean (which is why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1), and in its own way is kind of welcoming if you're not into any of the trendy places. It kind of reminds me of how Houston's alternative scene was in the 90's...not sure what the kids call this nowadays. Then there is the music. It wasn't good. The sound system is muffled and the music selection was pop rock style from like 2007-2012 mostly so even though I am older, I can still say it was lame without sounding like that old guy who hates new stuff. I actually WANTED to hear new stuff and not what I would listen to on Pandora 15 years ago, but apparently the younger and alternative crowd seemed to like it. It's kind of like Numbers Night Club for people who don't like wearing black and think of the 2000's as their 80's? I gotta say though, despite having the scary walk and dealing with frowning security and bartenders who act like they're doing you a favor for letting you in, it's a great place for people watching.

We were standing in the main area when a bottle service waitress approached us and offered a table. I told her we were fine at the bar, but she insisted and said we didn't need to buy a bottle--just that we could sit and enjoy. We agreed, but as soon as we sat down, she immediately added that we'd have to move if someone came and bought a bottle. That felt misleading and unnecessary, especially considering the club was nearly empty with plenty of open tables. At the bar, things didn't improve. I ordered 2 margaritas and 2 shots, but the bartender poured 4 shots instead. When I politely clarified that we only wanted 2, she refused to take the extras back. To make matters worse, the total tab ended up being over $100--including the extra shots we never asked for. That's unacceptable. Overall, the service was poor, the atmosphere felt low quality, and there was a complete lack of hospitality. It's not surprising they keep rebranding and changing names. They advertise themselves as a "3-story club," yet the rooftop is consistently closed due to staffing issues. We ended up leaving and going to Fabian's down the street, which had a much better vibe and overall experience.

There was a guy at the parking lot entrance charging $10 and using a card reader, but there was also a sign in the parking lot that said parking was supposed to be $5 and had a pay station, so idk what that's about, but it didn't seem like a major issue. The venue entrance was basically in the parking lot. With someone there to check tickets/charge entrance all night, it felt like the parking lot would be safe since it was basically being monitored by the door people. The outdoor stage had a really nice vibe with lights and cute decor. I went for a specific dj playing on the 2nd floor though, so I went straight there and enjoyed the music. The ac was blasting on the dance floor. Best ac I've ever experienced at a venue. I don't even think I was sweating, which is unheard of. The sound was also the best out of any venue I've been to, but I was standing in the center of the dance floor with the speakers pointed at me from every direction. The sound wasn't as good outside of those speakers, but I don't remember it being bad. The drink I tried was good, strong, not watered down, but a little pricey. I think a whiskey sour was $16 for one of those smallish plastic cups. Service was quick though and I didn't notice long lines at the bar. Now, for the cons. It was really bright at times. I wish I brought sunglasses. The dance floor felt like it was gonna collapse. You could feel it bouncing up and down because of all the people jumping on it. It made me pretty anxious because of how unstable it felt. The people in the crowd can be too much. This can happen anywhere, but it felt like there were more socially unaware people than other venues because it's open later and probably attracts drunk people wanting to party longer than other venues allow. There were a lot more guys than girls. I'd say maybe 80%. Also a lot of tall people the specific night I went lol that made it even harder to see the dj because the dj booth isn't elevated for some reason. I know the ceiling is low, but PLEASE ELEVATE THE DJ BOOTH. People like to look at the dj, but most people couldn't see him. It makes a huge difference, especially if you're paying a lot for a ticket. All in all, though, the cons weren't that bad and the pros were great! This is now one of my favorite venues to see a dj! I just hope they elevate that dj booth!
